I made this one for you who cant see windows taskbar anymore and get tired of htc Home;)
All you FIRST need is in the Bluephone-zip file. then you can use my other skins.
My theme just needs vjtoogletodayalphaII and BatteryStatus and a 2 small application to mute the phone/make x button and windows menu enable.
Everything is working: SMS/Email/Missed Calls-Counter; WIFI/BLUETOOTH on/off, mute the phone, a new taskmanager (Batterystatus) etc. You get a new small transparent taskbar with a big taskmanager-button

--) Okay: here we go:1. put the vjtoggletodayalphaII into the windows/Startfolder. Go to Registry: HKLM\Software\Vijay555\VjTodayToggle\ and set the values under "Startsize" und "Softkeysize" to "1". If you need your Softkeys leave/set the sofkeysize to about 26.
2. Install Batterystatus (if you have ultimate launch: it works as a today plugin)
3. Put the folder "SmartUtilities_FilesOnly" to Windows\Program files.
4. Put the File "RegistrySetString.exe" in the "BatteryStatus" folder"
5. Now decide which skin you want:Put the bluephone.xml and the folder "bluephone" into the Batterystatus or do the same with greyphone.xml and folder or with Taskbar and Tasbar.xml (u can also put all folders in)
6. Now hold on clicking with stylus on the plugin and choose all rows for showing and choose "lock" rows. AND DONT forget that your new BS-Taskmanager is enable !!!! And choose your SKIN !!!
7. Now you have to do some changes because this is for german version of windows: open the xml u use with your windows editor on your PC or with totalcommander on your ppc:
7.1 you find in the middle a path for: programme\smartutilities_filesonly, change it to program files\....
7.2 you find at the end a path for: "\windows\tmail.exe...." there you see "freenet.de": You can replace this with your own email account. then you can read "Posteingang": replace just this for the english version with "inbox".
7.3 you find there a row with the date like this one - text="dddd, d. MMMM yyyy"- you can change this because this is the european version of date (see picture)
then save the xml file and put it back to your ppc.

- thats it.
- if you like it crazy made more funny sound graphics for you. You find them in "othergraphics", just replace the originals in the Bluephone or Greyphone-folder with them. The wifi/bluetooth icons are with german or english text (on/off-an/aus). Replace them as you like.
- the tabs at the bottom are not part of this, you can find them in my iconthread for Ultimatelaunch.
- FOR THE OKAY BUTTON you must sometimes press your Hardware OK button ! (will find a Solution)
- VGA and Landscape-view dont work. This is just tested with wm 6.0 but should run with wm5

everything looks like promised.
nothing works. not the mute (the "mute" progy doesn't work) not bt 'cose there is no registry key_value="HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State\ Bluetooth" on my phone (maybe 'cose is wm 6.1 ?), not messages. the icon doesn't appear anywhere !
tried to uninstalled it by reversing the steps to install it.
everything went back except the hated windows taskbars and of course i am missing now all the info and settings they were ment for.
i think i'll have to restore a relatively old back-up :mad:

@tomoffel: If i find time i will try original iphone taskbar. then you have just to repalace the new iphone.xml with the bluephone and some graphics, thats it.
@Vukile: if you install smartUtilities und you find there muteonoff then this will work also. If not, put just my muteonoff in this new folder. you find the backgroundgraphics in your bluephone-folder (take the first 35 pixel of the head1.png= 35x50).

@nothin: i wont buy a iphone cause i cant do such things with that and i have gps and umts on my Polaris :D And why should WM always look ugly and not be userfriendly, do you use still Windows 95 on your PC ?

@Kukuriku: I`m sorry, tested it on touchcruise wm 6.0 and not on not existing OS ;) There could be trouble with the working of wifi/bluetooth buttons because the registry values depend on wm or some phones.
UNINSTALL IS VERY EASY: Delete vjtoggletoday from your windows startfolder, uninstall Batterystatus, delete the folder with muteonoff.exe. Softreset, thats it.
Cant say anything to BS Traylaunches because i dont use Traylaunch.

@character: can make more themes (a question of time). The topbar is just my graphic with icons and text on it (see in the Bluephonefolder). The original Taskbar is hided by vjtgooles tool. I/You can make it smaler, bigger whatever i want.

@wyzepro: its all just one BS theme/plugin nothing more. The theme has 4 rows (see in the xml file how it works): 1. Taskbar 2. Sound and Clock 3. Date 4.Buttons. I can delete or add rows and buttons as i want.

The tabs at the buttom are part of my Ultimatelaunch theme. I can make them a part of Batterystatus, so that they just open Software,Settings, Internet, Wheater-Program. But everyone has differnt software, or wants to open specific things with that icons, maybe i write a .xml with that and you have to change the xml with links to your software.


EDIT: I sorry, just found a bug im my latest .xml with the Text on the battery-icon. The new .xml will come tonight.

I`m sorry, i forgot that, because i dont use this: For the old startmenü just press your windows button on phone, maybe i cange this and then you can press battery-icon or i make a new button for startmenu.
But dont say i must do that because i wrote that just for my phone and for the things i need, so i can`t make it well for anybody. But you are right, people need that.

OKAY here it is: i reworked the taskbar: The taskbar is more transparent. the battery is more white and without text. your operator, Date and Buttons are more centered now.

And as a SPECIAL: A_C-MUTE with working finger !:D (was a hard work)

- AM/PM and Alarm will come till Monday. If you want i can make shortcuts when you press on Date (Calendar) and Time (Clocksetting, Alarm)

- All graphics including duck and A_C are part of the zip file in first Post.
If you allready have my theme, just replace the head0.png and the Battery-BG.png and the xml file.

- there is still a little bug with the shadow of the email and @ - Icons, i will make new ones. If its all done and you like it i will do another comlete different them (and dont forget to donate PAYBAL), Thanks.

Firstly thanks for this and all your icons, its moving me over to Ultimate Launch side, away from PointUI. (I just miss fiddling with my phone).
I can't seem to get any of the icons to work, except for mute. Changed paths in .xml and still nothing, concentrating on getting bluetooth to work? If I press BluetoothOnOff.exe in total commander it works. Also WiFi icon always reads on.?
How do I find out the name of my e-mail account is it as simple as outlook E-mail?
Have attached my xml file if anyone wants to check it over for any glaring errors

okay i checked you xml file.
1. You made a correct path to the smartutilities bluetooth toogle. This should work, but BatteryStatus has already function for this, so replace your line with my original path:

2. if you open your windows messaging-inbox you see your emailaccounts and textmessages (see picture): Mine are namend with freenet.de, Outlook-E-Mail and SMS/MMS. So try it with "Outlook-E-Mail" or just again with "inbox".

3. When you say no button is working: is "program file" the correct name of your program folder ?

There must be a big mistake :confused:, because toggle bluetooth and toggle wifi and Taskmanager are functions of Batterystatus, they must work. Is your taskmanger activated ? (options of Batterystatus)
There could only be a problem with the correct showing of my icons.
Maybe someone else could take a look ? I try it again tomorrow its late now.

This is just great. Finally got rid of the taskbar :D
Still its a bit not-practical when you're inside an application or menu and just want to leave. I have to press the ok button, or close the app through a task manager menu. The situation described is in the picture attached.
Maybe I just got something misconfigured.

Also, with Ultimate Launcher, is it possible to have only the first row (with X button, battery gauge etc) in every tab?

If not, when you launch a program through another tab, will the transparent top space (where taskbar was) show whatever is in the tab you launched it from?

EDIT: also attached a picture showing how my today screen is. That's BennTech's binary clock over there. Still trying to work out that grey space above the date (from head2 png I believe).

-its right, with UL you have the problem that you cant see the new taskbar on other taps, because UL does not allow to show a plugin like batterystatus theme twice. so on other tabs of UL make a new Shortcut on upper right side to windows-batterystatus-tasklist.exe (see rotating picture). i post you my icos for that tomorrow.
- if you open a application after 1 minute UL goes back to first tab (Settings of UL) and you will see the new taskbar in background again.
- i can make a .xml-datei file only with taskbar, i only have to delete row 2-4.
- most of my graphics are made with this s2u2 background , so they will look ugly with other BS themes.

okay i made a TASKBAR ONLY, just replace the xml.file with the new one and replace the old head0.png file with the new one you find in the zip ("Taskbar only"), Post 1.

Here you can find a x-button for ultimatelaunch, it works with 32,24 an 16 Pixels.

SORRY NIR, i totally missunderstood you (im tired and my english is bad:().

Okay: First download the zip and follow all my instructions in Post one.

1. Now open the folder "only Taskbar" in the zip.
2. There you find a "bluephone.xml" (This .xml allways "says" Batterystatus how it has to look and work, i made now a new one just with the taskbar) Put it in your "Batterystatus"-folder.
3. In the "only Taskbar"-folder you will find a graphic called "head0.png" (darkgrey Background of the Taskbar). Put this picture in the Bluephone-Folder in the "Batterystatus"-folder.
4. Reload this new theme by holding with stylus on Batterystatus, choose "Theme reload" (or something like this)

NOW you will have your normal todayscreen without Softkeys at bottom and without normal Windows Taskbar. If you dont like it:delete vjtoggle.. from your startfolder of windows and just uninstall batterystatus. So you can´t do anything wrong.

Eumel is right, this is just a skin/theme for the software Batterystatus, a today plugin. i made a skin that has something like a taskbar for it. i use the vjtoggle-tool to hide the normal taskbar so the batterystatus- plugin goes to the top of the screen, thats all.

1. if you have htc home, it is locked as the first plugin of your screen. there IS a registry tweak to "unlock Htc home" and to get my taskbarbar in first position, google please

I stopped developing it because of time and also vjtoggle wasn't reliable enough.
It won't work correctly on every device/os, won't work after rotation sometimes, etc.
Too bad VJ never did that next version he wanted to :)

Well since it's just app_launch, why don't we use some app to simulate an OK key - like in wisbar, and do the same for start menu and implement another buton, that way we'd be able to use either WK Task for the new simulated OK button or just make new one just for the battery status task manager/launch it by tapping operator name, that'd be a solution?

I made somthing new, see Post 1. Now highlighted Icons, 2 different xml -files and most of the graphices are reworked. (The grey Icons are bigger than my iphonish one and one xml did not work anymore). See new pictures

@Lastnikita: BS and vjtoggle work really good together on my touchcruise/wm6.0 since 1 Week. But i havent tried screen-rotation or other OS or ppc till now. Couldn`find something about your Idea, and i searched a long time for a solution. But if your god in .xml maybe you can help me ?

I'm new to BS, but i think the 2 problems could be solved using mortscipts already available to call start menu and to close apps.

Probably it would work like this:
<Item class="start_app" path="script path" title="menu" absolute="1">

both scripts are available i.e. here: http://rotlaus-software.de/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1171 ; it's a rltoday screen also hiding top and bottom bar.
VJ tool keeps 2 or 3 pixels from top bar visible to allow the simulated click action. I don't know if it works with top bar fully hide.
VJ ok button could be another solution, but i never tested it.

I'm planing to use BS with full screen (VGA). when I have the time i'll try to share the code ( i'm terrible with graphics...) .

I have a question...I am using PointUI which already has its own taskbar. There is an option to use either the PointUI one or the original WM Taskbar. So I could use this with that option selected.

My question...Is there a way to make the "X" a smaller "x" ???

Of course, but you`r the first one that wants a smaller x :rolleyes: Everyone hates the small "normal" button. so this is realy funny, but possible.
The size of the x-button is just a graphic/picture from me (see in the greyphone-folder)
But i had to do many changes in the xml-file so that everything would fit together and shrink the x-button graphic and must rework the taskbar-graphic and the following graphics. so that you dont have spaces between everything.
Sorry, this is too much, because i`m at the moment very bussy to get Windows StartMenu and a real/better x-button to work.

1. I FORGOT: in the zip is the Newest version of batterystatus plugin, you NEED that for working with all new functions !

2. The duck, mr. bush and ac -graphics are in the zip file, folder "othner graphics". just take the 2 icons and put them in the greyphone or bluephone folder to replace the "normal" icons

3. Can someone give me a screenshot or feedback so that i see if am/pm is working correct and at the right position ?

lol well i followed the instructions but in the end... my batterystatus jus ends up looking crazy and un-organized lol. so thats why i didnt kno that the headphone wallpaper was part of the zip file. cause it doesnt show up on my phone after i do everything.

:confused: question here... do we need to create the folder called "Program Files" because on my phone, the only folder i see under windows is "\Windows\Programs"

I have HButton installed and I was able to assign the "OK/Close" function inside the HButton program to one of the HButton links. This function differs from the wm's original OK/Close function as HButton's OK/Close function simulates a click on the right-upper corner so it's like using a stylus to poke that corner.

Here is the idea: if you could link your big X button (which is the one I've been searching for ages) to that HBotton "OK/Close" function (assigned as a HButton#.lnk in programs folder) then the big X button can really close programs. I looked the .xml files attached in the first post and seems like this was linked to the tasklist.exe program. Would the .lnk file work?

@Fresh2Death: Im sorry, i dont know what the correct name of everyones windows Program folder is. maybe "programs" or "program files", something like this. In german its "Windows\Programme", you have to to put the "smart...." in that folder and correct the .xml file to that folder. But you dont need to create a new folder. Its only working if my xml "knows" where to find the files/apps.I know this is a little bit hard for new Users.

@ ultravox WIFI (with or without Networkconnection) and Bluetooth for the Taskbar are done !!! I must make some more checks, create some new smaller Icons for this things and fit all three xml and graphicfolders (dammend, why did i do 3 themes !!!) and then check again every skin. So that will last till tomorrow, because tonight is Poker :cool: But at the moment, its running stable on my phone.
I also made a change so that the wifi button reacts after 1 second, not after 3 seconds
- the Good news: no more apps are needed, you will just have to replace the .xml and the graphicfolder.

@Fresh2Death: Im sorry, i dont know what the correct name of everyones windows Program folder is. maybe "programs" or "program files", something like this. In german its "Windows\Programme", you have to to put the "smart...." in that folder and correct the .xml file to that folder. But you dont need to create a new folder. Its only working if my xml "knows" where to find the files/apps.I know this is a little bit hard for new Users.

- the Good news: no more apps are needed, you will just have to replace the .xml and the graphicfolder.

- vjtoogle is not working in landscape, its a alpha version that has never been made to beta. Sorry no way, but i use landscape never, browser opera mini or pictureviewer like s2v or musicplayer like s2p have their owne landscape.

- finished the taskbar. see first picture. This is what it looks normaly and on the second picture you see everything that is possible with the new mute icon, the Icon for Bluetooth and for wifi with Network connection.
Have to do some more tests because I had Problems with the Wifi-buttons because the registry shows sometimes different values when Wifi is on (therefore you see for testing a 5 over the Wifi Button). But i made more Icons for that case.
I made this things for people using the taskbar only.

- and im just testing vjokButt for closing Programs.

after playing yesterday evening with the font I relaized this.

I'm really interested in your testing of the vjokbutt, but my trials have shown: it only works as a HW-Button. If you assign it to the taskbar grafik and click on it, the first thing you do is activating the today-Screen. The close/ok command is then send to the Today-Screen and nothing happens.
Have you found a solution for this (I really like to have the x-button and send close/ok to the running apllication).

I had something nice for a launcher and for big BT/wifi buttons that could easily be pushed by thumb. At that time BS had less options to play with though, and still was buggy with executing apps. Now I think everything's cleared so I guess I might give it a shot as well :)
Please make a VGA enabled skin too !
As soon as I'll have some spare time I'll check those files back and will share them with you.

You guys may need to consider the HButton + BS combo. I use the "OK/Close" function inside HButton and assigned that to my OK button to use it to close programs, and I have also assigned "BT toggle" and "WiFi toggle" to other HButtons and assigned those to the softkeys on today screen, and disabled the bottom bar using Dcinobar. (actually this is part of the iStyle theme I modified for myself).

If you use these HButton functions in the BS xml file then maybe the switch on/off for BT and WiFi could be easier so no messing with registry.

Just my 2 cents.

I found a solution myself.
Maybe you can use it for your project as well: When tapped on the new taskbar the active window changes to the Today-Screen. My "work-around" is : I kept the original windows taskbar (but set the height to 1px). I created a small MortScript which opens the taskmanager (click on the original taskbar, position 215,1)) chooses the entry at the top (the last window before the tap) with a click on 186,66 and then clicks in the original task bar (position 230,1) at the close/ok or whatever button is "displayed".

So I can use the original close/ok button, without seeing it.

okay, so many ideas.
For this time i decide to make no decision, but everyone is wellcome to find solutions or post different things about new taskbar here.

Thats what i have done last days:

- taskbar now shows mute, wifi (with or without connection) and Bluetooth
- the bluephone skin has bigger Icons at bottom.
(see pictures). It was hard enought, because i had to change many graphics and 3 xmls and test everything. Ecspecially the many different registry values for Wifi, so i made more icons for that problem.
- It should run better and hope there are no more little bugs.

So everyone has now a working taskbar skin and can play with it.:D

1. I dont have a vga phone so its to hard for me to make this graphics to vga (and check it). I think i have to double the graphic points ? Is it right that a 32x32 pixel icon then is 64x64 ?
Doing a mxl skin needs a lot of fine tuning (one more pixel ?). This is not possible without seeing. But I can do some graphics when you tell me the size you need.

2. So the only "problem" seems to be ok/close, but it works well for me so i donts see a real Problem.

You will see the problem when you use an app that needs to be validated, (ex. an options dialog) and it doesn't support softkeys, so.... needs a ok button ;)
But it's only occasional.
edit: and can of course be workedaround using hardware 'ok' button.... I had a htc touch at this time, and no HW button :D

video is a little bit tricky, because I do not have any video SW for my device. For the first try I choose to have a 2 seconds delay between the clicks to see whats happening. Now I set the "delay-time" in Mortscript to 200ms and it is stillworking fine. When you click the new close button the taskmanager-window pops open and then the right app is choosen. You see something happening, but at least I am not able to catch what was changing in my screen. So for the moment every thing works fine. I will finetune my delay times further (next step is to remove them and try if the Script still runs). Untill now i had no misses, except for the settings dialog in battery status. In this dialog the taskmanager is disabled (at least the symbol in the original taskbar) and so I can't "click" on it for opening. but this is so far the only app where my solution is not running.
For the different timing: I own a Wizard, so I think every other device should at least met the speed of the Wizard.....

I have a little problem. My mute thing doesn't work. (I read the entire thread like 3 times and didn't found my answer)

Every time I click on the Sound off/Sound on, I get a message saying "The file 'muteonoff' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file"

I uninstall everything and install again but the problem persists... Any help ?

1. Notification ist possible i think about it.
2. Problem mute on/off: This needs the "muteonoff.exe". Check if this exe is in the folder "smartUtilities_files only" on your ppc AND check the .XML YOU USE !
Open it with Windows text Editor on your PC. look at the path for the muteonoff.exe because it sounds as the path in your xml is wrong for your phone.
Original for german ppc:path="\Programme\SmartUtilities_FilesOnly\muteonoff.exe"
maybe your path is \Program Files\.... or whatever, please look on your ppc.

3. At my wm7 theme the Background Graphics are just the wallpaper but i have the backgroundgraphics and change that. it was just a first try.

ANYONE knows if its possibel to do a analog clock with batterystatus ? Dont whant to use rltoday for that.

Hi your theme looks great with conjunction of your icons.

I have few ideas that probably make your theme better:
- Instead muteonoff.exe you can use togglesound, it allow change to vibrate too. Actually i cant make work muteonoff in my artemis and I checked the xml.
- Can you add or made backlight icons (for use with mvbacklight) to add into your theme?

@ryhomahino: if you have/find a exe for togglesound put it in the "smart..." folder and correct the xml. i dont need vibration, therefor i didnt make that.
Only Problem should be new icons for vibration and the correct registry key where vibration is.

I KNOW Batterystatus and this SKIN CAN DO MUCH MORE but i dont want it to be too "overloaded", but you now have a base for making it the way you want, changing graphics or add more functons and buttons

And Sorry im too busy now for wm7 theme.:(

Having big Problems:
- no analog clock with batterystatus ? (maybe i show weather in the clock, when i find no solution, maybe better than two clocks in one skin)
- singal strenght and battery meter are not working, dont find the mistake graphics and xml are ready, but nothing is shown (the bars on the picture are fake, the rest is running)

I changed from wallpaper background to real background graphics so this skin will work with every wallpaper.

i didnt want the percentage so i just took it out of screen, but its still there:
okay: - open on your pc with the windows editor the xml file you use.
- you find somewhere at the top of the text the following:

<label left="0" width="0" top="-6"/>
-change the -6 (out of screen) to "0" or "1" (test it), but then
you get a problem with the spaces of the other taskbar icons. you
can try the "label left" value to change that.

2. I created also a new signal bar, the old was a fake in "Bluephone" or just percentary in "taskbar" and "greyphone" and made a real working signal bar with 7 Bars ! (without percentary) for all 3 themes.
I also found a better registry key for wifi so that i now need for "Wifi on" just 3 pictures.
I update the zip later. so this is your last chance for percentage :D

3. WM7 is looking great: Big original BATTERYMETER and SIGNAL BAR are working now !!!
-but now my big Problem is there: Batterystatus plugin can`t display a analog Clock :(

so i must make a dicission: i can use my taskbar and signalbars and then create for the rest a new with plugin with rltoday, where analog clock is possible.
This is not a big Problem, but i dont like using two different plugins (ressources), also rltoday has a problem with ultimate launch, it flickers for a short time when the plugin is drawn.
The other way is, to display in the clock something different :confused:

will think about it. look at WM 7 now. I added a wm7-Test. Just use the wallpaper, put the wm7-folder and the wm7.xml into the BS folder and choose the new skin. And report bugs!

About rltoday, Ul and flicker, that is a "normal" problem of rltoday to load the skins. that's why i quitted rldoay for a multitab. BTW this task is working great with BS.

I can see the lines in the XML file, but my operator name still doesn't appear. It has never appeared on any of the batterystatus skins I have tried, even the default...hmm. Something odd or me being blind..:cool:. Thanks anyway.

mmh, okay this "mobile_operator " is a part of batterystatus that reads out the registry for you operator. so im sorry and cant change this. it seems your Phone has maybe another registry key for your operator.

But Did YOU enable "show operator" in the BS-Setings ?

when not:
1. you can post the problem at batterystatus thread
2. or search the registry with sktools or similar for the keyword "operator" .
with this key it would be possible to write a line in xml to read out the operator in this different registry key.

1. first of all i see a little bug in my xml (or u should read your sms !):D
the "20" isnt right on the icon so go to your darknight.xml,
there u find some lines for sms, and a text: left="-16" write in there "-26" for example so that the "20" goes 10 pixels more to the left side and is on your icon, you can do that also with email, and missed calls, i will make a update of my xml.
2. you changed the date line of the xml. Thats okay but seems you dont know how and made a mistake. So here it is how this works:
Days:
- dddd= Monday,Thuesday....
- dd= 01,02,03.....
- d= 1,2,3,4, ....
Months:
- MMMM= January, February
- MM= 01,02,03 ....
- M= 1,2,3,4
Years:
- YYYY= 2008
- YY= 08
- Y= 8

so if you want this:"Monday, 11.05.08" you need: "dddd, dd.MM.YY" for example. you made small "mm"s !
3. BS has a Settings option that also has influence to a xml skin. Go 2 seconds with stylus on the BS skin. try to enabel show cpu frequency ? dont know if this helps for the third meter. Normaly you dont need that. i use a readymade cpu-usage from batterystatus. The third meter shows also freeRam, makes no sense that this is also not shown ? Did you made some other changes at the xml ?

The button should work, but the icon doesnt change from black to blue, this is a known problem because of differnet devices with different regsitry values. So got in the darkskin.xml to the wifi-lines:

copy just this black lines in you xml, reload the skin: now you should see a number when pressing the button, this are the registry value we/you need. If you see always a zero do the following: just replace the path for wifi above with this path

"HKLM\System\State\Hardware\WiFi"

okay now you should get the differnet values for wifi when pressing the button, now you need icons. There are only two icons i made: on and off. Go to the folder "Darknight" You find there the wifi Icons named wlan-0, wlan-1, wlan--1. copy the on or off icon you need in this folder and rename it with the number your read out of the registry.
Easy example: You press the wifi button, you see that wifi is on (commanager htc) and on the button you see "3", then go to the darknight-folder copy the icon "wlan-1.png" (on-Icon) and name it "wlan-3.png". So BS now will find the right Icon if wifi is on.

I know its hard, and im sorry but its a probleme of many different devices, windows version etc.

1. first of all i see a little bug in my xml (or u should read your sms !):D
the "20" isnt right on the icon so go to your darknight.xml,
there u find some lines for sms, and a text: left="-16" write in there "-26" for example so that the "20" goes 10 pixels more to the left side and is on your icon, you can do that also with email, and missed calls, i will make a update of my xml.
2. you changed the date line of the xml. Thats okay but seems you dont know how and made a mistake. So here it is how this works:
Days:
- dddd= Monday,Thuesday....
- dd= 01,02,03.....
- d= 1,2,3,4, ....
Months:
- MMMM= January, February
- MM= 01,02,03 ....
- M= 1,2,3,4
Years:
- YYYY= 2008
- YY= 08
- Y= 8

so if you want this:"Monday, 11.05.08" you need: "dddd, dd.MM.YY" for example. you made small "mm"s !
3. BS has a Settings option that also has influence to a xml skin. Go 2 seconds with stylus on the BS skin. try to enabel show cpu frequency ? dont know if this helps for the third meter. Normaly you dont need that. i use a readymade cpu-usage from batterystatus. The third meter shows also freeRam, makes no sense that this is also not shown ? Did you made some other changes at the xml ?

1. you can do anything with the xml :D This ist the command line for sms counter. copy or write just the black text in your xml at the same postion. now you can play around with the fontsizes.

I have the taskbar theme working great, but whenever I activate the Touchflo Cube on my Elfin the windows taskbar covers the BS taskbar. The only way to get the BS taskbar to show up again is to restart. I am using the latest build of BS. Any ideas?

Your problem has nothing to do with Batterystatus.
to hide the taskbar and softkeys i use the vjtoggle tool.
this is a alpha version that was made before wm6 and cube, so there will be no solution. you will get same problem with landscape. so you can post this in the vj thread "16 % bigger screen" (or something like that) maybe vj will do a newer version for us all.

i made two standalone taskbars, a smaler in bluephone folder and a bigger one in wm7 folder. see pictures.

your today screen is still as usual so you can combine this with any today plugin.

you could try this and it may contain something useful for you. its an exe to the actual volume control on the ppc. it launches the volume option toolbar(or a reproduction of it) and then you can select it like normal. but, may be a good start.

I know that using the reg key value would be simpler, but could we also use HButton to toggle vibrate? I'm just not sure how you would link what you're pressing on the screen to what the HButton would do...

- dont understand your question.. can Hbutton toggle vibrate ? you can toggle vibrate also with hardware buttons but you need a program that can do this.

anyways, here is a screenie of my today page. it is a copy/rework of focaldesign2, but instead of rltoday plugin at the top, i am using blue's greyphone theme for batterystatus. obviously, i resized and modified it all. under that is ul - with 5 tabs at the bottom...home, agenda, apps, utils and htc home plugin (in fact that is why i wanted to have the vibrate/sound on toggle - to get rid of the htc home plugin tab. i really only use that plugin for the phone profiles).

anyway: i made new skin: wm7Special. nothing really new but:
- this if for users that need space and the functions of my skins.
- its based on wm7Taskbar-only-skin
- the taskbar has now more functions and is reworked
- i made 3 different iconsets for this skin.
- Is good to use with Ultimate launch (UL): If you have UL, delete batterystatus IN UL. Put in Batterystatus as a normal windows today plugin. then activate UL as the second plugin for todayscreen. So this SKin will always be on screen ! (see picture 4, if you dont know what i mean.)

I found a bug when the battery is just empty my bars showed full battery (missing Icon): in all wm7 skins and the Darknight-skin. I changed all zips for you.
--) if you use the DARKNIGHT-Skin you dont have to reload the zip: go to graphics folder, copy "b-0.png" and name it "b-4.png".Thats it.

2. All WM7 skins have now better loading bars in german or english which shows the state of loading while loading You need the new graphics folder for that.

I am trying to get the DarkNight theme to work, but so far no success. What I have on my screen it just text over my own wallpaper, no graphics. I have the Day and Date centered near the top, 00 off to the left, then mid screen I have 100% (presumably battery charge) digital time, free Ram and % for free harddrive space. If I knew how to take a screenshot I would, to post it.

I have the new taskbar on the bottom, and I lost my original windows taskbars both top and bottom. I copied the Darknight directory, and the darknight.xml file into the \Windows\BatteryStatus directory. I did edit the xml file to Program Files from Programme.

What did I miss?

regarding the toggle between sound on and vibrate, i found a workaround. i haven't found any standalone proggies that do the toggle (yet). but i found that in aebutton plus there is an option to assign a hardware key to do the toggle.

i use aebutton plus anyways, to double up on the functions of the hardware keys. so i set the action key in the d-pad to this sequence... 1 click=normal / default function; double-click=brings up pbar taskmanager; triple-click=toggle between vibrate and sound on.

it works fine. but would still be nice to have the toggle available in the greyphone skin from blue. maybe one day...

yes, in htc home plugin there is a tab for phone/sound profiles. there are 4 options (from left to right) -- sound on, sound off, vibrate and sound automatic (don't know what this one is - never use it). normally i just toggle between sound on and vibrate.

i have the home plugin as a tab in ultimate launcher, mostly to use this sound profile.

here's a screenshot of how it looks...

hope that helps blue, maybe you can use that somehow to find out how this plugin toggles the various sound/phone options. tanx

- its the sense of this all to loose also all original bars.
- if there are no graphics, the xml cant find the graphics folder. look in first line of the xml, if there is the right name of the darknight folder, and that this folder is in the BS folder.

Since I did get the bluephone skin to work, could you give me new instructions on how to install the darknight skin? I will simply start over. I got your Darknight skin to work!!!! It is awesome. My problem was that there was an extra layer of directories. When I unzipped the file there was a "darknight" directory inside another "Darknight" directory. That is why the xml file couldn't find the graphics. This probably seems obvious to those who read this, But sometimes it the obvious things when miss when looking too close with a magnifying glass.

Has anyone had this happen? I was using batterystatus just fine as a tab in UL, when it just vanished. the tab is still there, but nothing is displayed on it, completely blank. I have tried removing and reinstalling all components, batterystatus, vjtoggletodayalpha file, etc. didn't work, my UL tab is still blank. Can anyone offer any ideas?

- clear background isnt possibe for darknight skin because in this skin the meters and more are part of the background graphics. u can see this in your darknight folder. so i would have to rework nearly all graphics.
- if your originale taskbar comes back this happens with slideout keyboard i think and its a problem of vjtoggle.exe that is still alpha version, so please write to vj for that prob, i cant help if this is the reason.

- mustbe startup folder in english version, All software in this folder starts when windows mobile starts.
- i use UL too. UL is not locked. If u use my wm7special skin, batterystatus must be a normal today plugin and then use as second plugin UL.
If u use all my other skins, disable all plugins in windows mobile except UL. Now u can use any plugin as "combined tabs" in UL.

I don't know what I did to make it disappear, but I have removed and reinstalled both UL and batterystatus, and my batterystatus tab in UL is still blank. I can't get anything to display. I do have the extended icons on the bottom, and my top and bottom windows bars have been removed. If I knew how to take a screenshot of my phone I would show you what it looks like.

@wolfkmann: you must make a tab and there you make a combined tab with the BS plugin. its a problem of your UL Settings . so check this first.

The concept seems similar to my old hack with PhoneAlarm, where you would use VJToggleToday to allow PhoneAlarm to replace the Start bar with something more useful.

I'm really sorry you guys still suffer with VJToggleToday II Alpha.
VJToggleToday IV sits on my hard drive (and phone) with a significantly better feature set, but not quite ready to release to the public due to my time constraints (family, work, buying a house) etc.

I've committed myself to getting back into XDA Devs again though, and so will probably be taking suggestions for features on the new VJToggleToday (in a different thread). The start of the art has moved on quite a bit since version II, what with SPB's shell and PointUI etc, but the simple Start bar still needs to be attacked to bring it up to date! So maybe there is still a need for VJToggleToday.

I don't know what I did to make it disappear, but I have removed and reinstalled both UL and batterystatus, and my batterystatus tab in UL is still blank. I can't get anything to display. I do have the extended icons on the bottom, and my top and bottom windows bars have been removed. If I knew how to take a screenshot of my phone I would show you what it looks like.

I had the same problem. I tried uninstall, new installation, new installation on top of the old one, nothing helped. But after a while I found a solution (at least to my problem): There is a "reset ViewState at Today-Screen" - Button in the options of Battery Status. After hitting this button my Battery Status came back and everything worked fine. This button is in the advanced register..

Thanks for the suggestion, I really appreciate you trying to help, but it didn't work. In fact, as I think about it, I might of done this in the first place to lose my display.

I have even gone to this thread:

and downloaded the newest version on batterystatus and installed it, but it didn't solve my problem. If anyone want's me to PM them some ini or xml files to see if they can help, I will.

I forgot to ask in the last post, when I slide my keyboard out and my screen automatically rotates to landscape view, my topbar with the windows icon returns. It stays even after my screen rotates back to portrait view. This messes up my dislpay for UL. Once the topbar returns, I can't get rid of it, except by a soft reset. Does anyone else experience this? or have a fix?

there is freeware called getpda screen or something. also there is something here in in the forum for screenshots.
@wolfkmann: you must make a tab and there you make a combined tab with the BS plugin. its a problem of your UL Settings . so check this first.


ok i worked out screen shots here you go i have found a problem tho some times ul blacks out my backdrop i dont know why thinks its settings. j

the 3 is my network so thats normal i was expecting that. when i say black out as u can see from my last screen shot i have a blue back drop with a random building at the bottom when i say black out i mean that your skin stayes there and so do my tabs at the bottom but the rest of the screen is black. when it shud be blue. i belive this is a ul problem but i cant find were, if i reload the ini it sometimes come back and go's back to how it shud look next time it happens i'll see if i can get a screen shot in.

ok this is what i mean by my screen going black if u look at my post befor the back drop has gone and i dont know why i cant see why wisbar desktop has done this as if i make ul smaller the back drops still there so must be a ul problem but i found nothing in settings. . hopefully with vijaay back on the case we can get his stuff saorted and fix everything. j

@All: and please dont forget to donate sometimes, got really NO cent from any xda devs-users till now for all this skins and for all my Icons although i can see in screenshots that many of u use my skins and especially my Icons. I did 310 Icons and about 280 just for you guys.
Anyway i will continue because i love doing such things, but it would
