I installed SPB mobile shell 2 days ago and was delighted with its functionality but shortly afterwards my touchscreen stopped working completely. i had to hard reset my phone to get the touchscreen working again.

i installed nothing but spb mobile shell when i restored the settings and the same thing happened again (this was a test not just me being stupid)

anyone had this problem? if so any solutions?

is there any other shells out there with equally good functionality?

thanks in advance

What do you mean when by restored the settings? Are you trying to restore from a backup program (Sprite backup, Spb backup etc etc)? Or do you just mean your going into the program and doing the settings from Mobile Shells interface?

I haven'e experienced the loss of touchscreen in my use.

I have Mobile Shell 2.0 on my phone as well but do not have the same problems as you. Are you still running the stock ATT Rom? Thats probably the issue, I had Mobile Shell 2.0 on my cousins phone on a stock ATT Rom and it ran so slow it appeared as thought he touch screen wasnt working, but it just responded very slowly. I have installed MS 2.0 about 30 times on multiple different phones and have not had that issue.

I'm runnning the t-mobile rom that came with my english version of the phone. Its ok i've got SPB pocket plus running the way i want it so i'm happy with that... i'll live without the Mobile shell. Thanks though

I loved SPB Pocket Plus for a few months but once I started using mobile shell it was over for pocket plus. Much better integration and look and feel. I would def flash the rom as that is most likely the problem, MS is pretty processor intensive and will chew up your memory. May I ask what is your storage and program memory usage after you soft reset your phone?

Storage Memory Free after soft reset 93.73MB
Program Memory Free after soft reset 69.47MB

Thinking of switching to ifonz to see what that is like for a while but I really like the way I have pocket plus set up and the integration of finger friendly contacts and palm threaded sms from the forum

i did like the integration of mobile shell but i'm delighted with the phone at the moment as i got tomtom set up yesterday :-)

i've been having serious issues with spb shell with some of the newest builds. So i just deleted the program, too bad.
