Hi Friends:

I would like to know how to install & setting the new Arcsoft MMS 5.0.31.7...I have the following files:

- _Alex__Arcsoft_MMS_5.0.31.7.cab
- SettingDll.zip (SettingDll.dll missing from the cab. I have attached the file. Copy to \windows)
- Transport.zip (transport.exe is missing)

and I have the following settings in Alltel MMS:

Server name: Alltel MMSC
Gateway: Delete it, leave blank.
Port #: 8080
Server Address: http://mms-mt.alltel.net/servlets/mms ( note the "-mt" and the ".net" instead of ".com" )
Connect via: Alltel Wireless
WAP2.0

Can you help me?

Thanks

I should note those settings I posted were from Lenny's Forums, I didn't give credit. I know we tried several settings in the DCD's 3.0.4 thread, but I don't know if any worked. I would also like to know if anyone got the newest mms working with Alltel.

so even though your carrier is Iusacell, you are using alltel's mms server? is that how mms should be set up for your carrier? seeing as how i know nothing about iusacell, my best guess would be that you are not using the right server, as in, not to use alltel's server.

I've been trying and trying to get 5.0.31.7 working on the Alltel 3.0.4, but I just can't get the settings right. It's frustrating, but I know that there are smarter people than me working on it, so hopefully it'll be worked out soon. Also, I haven't gotten mms to work consistently since I upgraded to to the 3.35 radio. Using Lenny's cab, I can send mms without issue, but I only receive mms sporadically. For instance, I'll test by sending myself an mms and it'll work. Two minutes later I'll send the same pic to myself again, and it never comes through. I estimate that only about 1 in 4 of the mms messages sent to me actually reach me. I seem to be alone in this problem, though, so maybe it's just my phone.

I ended up redoing the whole kitchen again to get it to work. I am on Verizon and when I upgraded it started working out the gate.. It is also worth the time to redo also since its built into the threaded SMS also now..

RevSoft, is there some way to install Arcsoft (and make it functional) w/o having to reflash a whole new ROM? I'm on verizion with the alltel rom and I've downloaded and installed the cab -- but it dumps me to outlook whenever I try and send a photo to somebody...
