Aloha All,

I can't find the field test program in my tilt. Or maybe it's not there? If it is not where might it get it.

Much Mahalos in advance...

I am not here to be a critic, but man if you really work for AT&T you would know that you don't need the Field Test application to enter into the field test mode. For instance on the AT&T Tilt to enter the field test mode WITHOUT the Field Test application is *#*#364#*#*. Just my thoughts.

Very nice, didn't know you could use that code. I ended up making a shortcut icon for it.

Set the File Explorer to show all files and navigate to the /Windows folder. There you will find FieldTest.exe , copy it and then navigate to wherever you want and paste as shortcut.

Interesting, Operations huh. So i guess your regional supervisor is jack, Tell him I said hi. Since i cover the northeast region. Not to meddle, but don't you have all the test equipment provided to you by AT&T that is far more extensive than a field test mode on a tilt?? I mean damn go to any tower and use your AT&T provided test equipment, then tap into the switch. Operations HUH, I always thought we go by the name "Field Technician" guess i missed that memo.

I am a contractor that builds cell sites for AT&T in Southern CA. We also install BDA's for customers that have poor indoor coverage. I am using the tilt and cannot figure out how to get the cell site id to show up while in test mode. Is the field test mode capable of showing this? Is there another program that I could install to have this ability? Having this ability would allow me to determine where the cell site is located in order to properly orient the donor antennas when we are doing a field. Also, does anyone have a link for what all the field test information is and what it means? I know most of them but a few of them are new to me. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
MAC

Sorry for nagging, but ...

Any chance of seeing some more of these "secret" codes (or an indication of where I can get them myself ;-))

When you work for companies they don't tend to tell their employees stuff like this, during training they probably only told him/her about the field test program because that is what they want them to use.

I use my old Nokia 6600 with CellTrack application installed (http://www.afischer-online.de/sos/celltrack/index.html). It has an internal database created from a .csv file where I have loaded all the cellId, Lac, Network name, Site Name and descrition of all the radiobase station managed by me for my company (I work in Wind tlc).

I immagine an application for my Tytn that collecting the cellId and Lac (and ofcourse signal strenght) could perform a quick search in the database to load other info about name, description and address.

May be someone could write down an application like this?
sorry for bad english..

CellTrack is great but we need a similar application for Windows mobiles. I am a telco professional as well and so many fellow eng use Kaiser. Sure we have tools as well, but sometimes we like to play with cell infos when we are not at work. Telco is our hobbi as well :)

I just flashed a new ROM on my tilt and the ROM did not include field test. I understand that there is a new version avaiable (2.15) can anyone point me in the right direction?
