I searched this but i couldnt find anything to help.
Yesterday, friend sent me a few pictures from his phone via MMS.
i have rick's wm 6.1, and in my MMS inbox, i can see the messages. when i open them, there is an option to download them.
when i click that, the message acts like it was read, but it doesnt download, and if it does i dont know where it downloads to, and i haven't been able to find it anywhere.
any ideas?
thanksI have the same problem, but only on big MMS Files download, the small MMS files are OK, the big MMS files act like the want to download, but they will not. There is a place in ROM to expand the storage for MMS files, but I don't know exactly where it is a this time. I will research this out................!

jcrain11,
If you have not ran the Connection wizard, yet, thats good.
If you did, you might have to call t-mobile and have them re-insert you into their network.
Reboot after entering those settings.

I have the unlimited 19.99 internet. Is there some problem when using the configuration wizard in WM 6.1, I have updated my phone multiple times for each release and constanly use Opera mini!! I don't have any connections problems on Tmobile. Occasionally if I manually disconnect the data connection (because I think it is eating up my battery) I will have to close the programs and reopen them to get a connection. Or if it is really wonky (maybe once a month or less) I stop the phone connection and restart it and then it always works. I never MMS only Text message people.
So why would someone need to call tmobile and get reconnected to the network. I am in Philly maybe the networks are different elsewhere?

What you need to do is DELETE all the settings. You dont need them cause you have full access, hense you pay 19.99
Insert the settings i have and just call t-mobile. I dont know why their database keeps us out of it but i does.
5 minute call. Worth the call.

I would recommend following this instructions as well as running the connection wizard in the tools folder (6.1 rom)...
Follow these instructions and you should get it working because it worked for me and like everyone else. Just make sure you input everything in correctly. :)

I dunno if anyone posted anything like this before but I've noticed a lot of people have had problems with their tzones and picture messages especially after flashing their ROM to kavanas or rickys wm6.1
I've seen some solutions posted, but I just felt like i'd share this
I came across this website and it works like a charm

I have this problem as well. the work-around i use is:
1) remove battery and sim card for about 5 min.
2) Power -on phone
3)Go to MMS
4) Select Send/Receive
You will probably get the "Error Synchronizing" message, but you should see the MMS tilted mail icon appears on the top. Not sure if this will work for others. let me know.

I received roughly 5 pictures last night and they were 6 hours old from the initial send time, I realize the person sending them may have had connection problems hence the time from send to receive. I received the files and my battery died. When I recharged the phone and went to look at them they were gone. I could see the icon popping up as if pictures we being downloaded but nothing was there. I looked in all of my folders including the trash and they were all empty. Has anyone else seen this? Also, when I select the send/receive I get an error with syncronization, is this normal? I verified my t-mobile setting and they are all correct.
thanks.

I put ricky's v24 on my wifes Dash. I have everything working fine except I get the "error sychronizing" when using MMS. I'm not sure I have the correct MMCS settings as I can't seem to find any that work. Does anyone know what these settings are? I'm running the same ROM on my dash on the T-mobile network. Followed their instructions off of there website and mine works like a charm. So I know it's not the ROM it's got to be the settings... Please help!

I have 2 dashes. I did these settings exactly for both of them. I ran the connection wizard before I put these settings in. I tried sending a message and saw the mail icon with an arrow in my taskbar for a little bit, but it went away. I never recieved that message either. Also, for the WAP Gateway in step 13, 216.155.165.050 always turns into 216.155.165.50 when I press done. Does that make a difference?

I have windows mobile 6.1 that I upgraded to a month or so ago and ever since then I cant recive mms messages either. If I remember correctly I could recieve them fine with wm 6.0 .Is this a problem that will be fixed or should I just switch back to 6.0????
Another question what is this (Rogers) that you guys are talking about?
Mikey
13th September 2008, 01:53 AM
If you have T-Mobile remove your battery for 30 seconds....insert it again.
Make sure the settings are entered correctly.
If that doesnt work, call T-mobile and in 5 minutes they can solve the issue by inserting your number in their database.
Rogers is a Cell provider in Canada i think.

220k pic managed to be sent took one hell of a long time, will let you know if it is recieved then will step if up a notch to see about pushing near 300k. :)
Works a treat :)
The settings in full for BT users:
Use REGISTRY EDITOR UNDER TOOLS FOLDER OK.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ArcSoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI\SizeLimit
change recvlimit1 through 3 to 307200
and sendlimit1 through 5 to 307200
then go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ArcSoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\MMSC Setting\BT MMS
Once in here, go to WAP1SendDefaultSize and change the value to 307200. Do the same for WAP2SendDefaultSize and WAP1recvdefault as well

Ever since I started using Ricky's ROM i've had problems getting my MMS working, with the limited Rogers information on this thread I've been able to get it to sort of work. Currently I am in the position where I can send a message but cannot receive. Well, at least I sent myself a message but I have not received it. I logged into Rogers Picture Messaging website and my message is in my inbox but I have not been notified of it on my phone.
Any other Rogers customers out there been able to get it to work?
Thanks.

Hello. I'm new to this forum and just updated to windows mobile 6.1. i'm having some trouble with receiving and sending mms. i know it's been answered but it didn't work for me. firstly, i'm not receiving any pictures and also when i send them it says that there is a size limit.
now, i've already configured my mms setting and still am not receiving anything. also, how do i change the size limit to the messages?
sometimes when i'm in the middle of doing something, i.e. configuring a setting, the phone will go back to homescreen on its own. why does it do that? is there any way to fix it?
can someone explain what is lowlight? the message about "-t" and "-m" keeps popping up and i don't understand it
i like the threaded text feature on 6.1 as well as some of the other new things but so far, the bad is outweighing the good. that is, if i can't find a solution to my current problems. i may have to go back to 6.0.
someone please help? thanks in advance.

This should work for you, and I am assuming you are using T Mobile is that correct?
I was doing this but when I got to the ......\Config\mm1\MMSC Setting\SampleMMSC I do not have those keys show up for me. Should I just create them?
EDIT---- Never Mind. Instead of the SampleMMSC folder it was in the one that I created to set up my mms which was T-Mo MMS. So for me it was under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ArcSoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\MMSC Setting\T-Mo MMS
Thanks guys for eveything
