Hey Folks,
Can Anyone who can cook up a rom please make a Telstra Branded one? one that already has modded registry so we can view foxtel, The Proxy Manager software and all the stuff the other telstra roms have? I think us Aussie Telstra Users would highly appreciate it!
Thanks!

you can set all those things up yourself you know!
And i doubt we should expect a 6.1 telstra/imate rom again considering they dropped the phone before christmas.

Attached is a zip file containing the entire telstra ext-rom, this should contain any of the cabs you need.

Some rom's do support telstra, eg crc's 6.1.
You can "add" the telstra 3g bands manually however to any rom i believe, as I do, eg on tnt's rom I needed to add.
You then need to use the telstra proxy to access the sites etc(my place and such), BUT depending on what you want to do you may need to switch it on/off, very easy to do anyway.
Search for telstra 3g and you will find all info, otherwise use this: Telstra settings for 3g

Hi all, been down the same road with 3g Telstra.
There is a fix to set up all settings etc fairly easy when flashing with wm6.
1. do your flash...
2. need to edit the bands to allow our phone to use Telstra's frequencys
(see below)
3. run Telstra's own setup cab that they use in the original imate ext_rom
4. just go into settings/phone/band...select "auto" on network type
select "GSM(900+1800)+UMTS(850)"
thats about it
Works for me everytime I've flashed, get wap when its out of range for 3g and get telstra internet 3g every other time
E=Edge average, 3g=Umts=H on connections
notes:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Telstra "odd" bands (must do some reg exports for next time, and to share), use a reg editor like resco's etc
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
(taken from XDA site) if anyone else needs them, This Registry patch works for the Hermes.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\BandT ype]
"ItemCount"=dword:00000006
"ItemName1"="Auto"
"ItemName2"="GSM(900+1800)+UMTS(2100)"
"ItemName3"="GSM(1900+850)+UMTS(1900+850)"
"ItemName4"="UMTS(2100+800)"
"ItemName5"="GSM(900+1800)+UMTS(2100+850)"
"ItemName6"="GSM(900+1800)+UMTS(850)"
"ItemValue1"=dword:00000000
"ItemValue2"=dword:00000001
"ItemValue3"=dword:00000002
"ItemValue4"=dword:00000003
"ItemValue5"=dword:00000004
"ItemValue6"=dword:00000005
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\UMTS\BandSelection]
"Band"=dword:00000005
You really just need to add ItemName5 and 6, and ItemValue5 and 6, and change the ItemCount from 4 to 6 (as you added two options) using your favorite Registry Editor.
Do a soft reboot of the phone. Now you can select the NextG option GSM(900+1800)+UMTS(850)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. copy the telstra cab onto your phone then run, this sets up the Telstra Wap and Teletra Internet connection, as well as the proxy manager.
It does load some other junk onto the system like telstra bussiness etc , but this is easy to delete or move to another start menu group.
sometimes when setting up email accounts and such you may have to fiddle with the programmes "connect with " network setting and point it to :telstra internet or as in my case use "work" connection.
hope this helps

you only need the reg fix (if not already enabled) then choose the band then load in the gprs/3g modem settings and the proxy.
that telstra cab loads a tsk and sets the home page to the old wap site, the proxy manager is kind of cute if you are too lazy to load the proxy back in although the only thing you need the proxy for is to use whereis and some of the other crap telstra services.
The proxy will just slow down msn and general internet use.

hey guys, sorry I haven't replied until now, I've been fairly busy with work and the family.
OK Lets say I wanted to cook up a rom myself. Where can I find a clean wm6.1 rom and a kitchen to cook it in? I would have already probably cooked up a rom myself by now but it's hard to find a nice clean ROM and kitchen to use.
