I want to post this information, because I searched over weeks to solve the problem. First I use a Lenovo/IBM T61P Notebook with Vista SP1 x64, and I had ongoing problems with syncing my tytn. Sometimes it works sometimes it stopped while processing and sometimes the notebook didn't recognize the phone. I tried several ROMs without success. Last week I installed a new driver for usb interface and afterwards my notebook shuted down with a bluescreen (Driver_Power_State_Failure). I searched the net, and i found this fix http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-67239.html and now the notebook shutdown correctly AND syncing the phone works without any problem.

Maybe this info helps others to solve it faster.

mhm, do you use a docking station?
Until January I used a Asus Notebook based on XP SP2 and a Shaps WM6 Rom without any problem. Vista x64 made always some problems with syncing. I also tried different usb cables without success.
I think the USB power management provides too less power or it does not provide it long enough.
However, now it works for more than a week, where I tried it every day, without a problem.
