Going for the ROM

As some of you know Htc just released a new rom for the Alltel ppc6800 and i had a question, if i install the rev a update from the htc website can i just install the rom update with out flashing and unlocking? could i just flash it from the .exe?

well yea, but does it reqire 2.40 to unlock and all the other procedures to flash? or is this just a simple rom and radio update?i dont wanna brick the sucker. hell im tired of seeing " i bricked" threads i dont wanna be next :(
