touch FLO works best for you when you use your finger nail and skin together?

or just ur flat service of your thumb, finger etc?

I feel that when i just use my thumb, no nail portion, it doesn't load up right away, but with my finger nail, bam right away.

Correct. Using sharp object (nail / stylus) will be smoother. I set my X button to "hold to close the program". I'm frustrated to use thumb b'coz it will not work. If using stylus / nail, work perfectly.

No, I actually have to disagree. Touch Flo (not the HTC Cube) works better with the flat surface of your thumb. This is especially evident when scrolling using Touch Flo in e-mails or IE. The reason for this is that the phone can detect the difference between a thin stylus and a finger.

So the end result is...
A thin stylus can more easily select text
A finger can more easily use Touch Flo to scroll

TouchFlo works best when it's disabled : all other apps load "bam, right away".

I know, i know, i'm outta here... :D ;)

Solved my own problem with this tweak!

Increase Touchflo sensitivity
- HKLM\software\OEM\TFLOSettings\FingerPressure
- Change from default 2908 to 10892

Now finally can easily hold to close the program! :)

Ok Dumb question time....

I know what Touch Cube is...

But is TouchFlo a hardware feature of the screen, or just an application/drivers that can be used on any touch screen?

Can I use it on my 6800?

HTC solution is a hardware-software combination. It could of course be used with any screen its just the needed "drivers" (touch.dll) only exist for the very original Touch devices coming from HTC, the Touch, Touch Dual, Touch Cruise, the upgraded Touch and the new kid on the block (the Baby-Polaris), always forget its name... So the very real TouchFLO from HTC only runs on those devices.

There are alternative solutions though which imitate the TouchFLO functionality. There's FTouchFlo, TouchCommander, SPB Pocket Plus and a bunch of others.

btw, habs101, excessive usage of question marks doesnt make the thread any more important, rather ridiculous...

Schagg,

Thanks for the reply. So on my Mogul, if it has touch.dll, I could use the HTC touchflo?

otherwise I would have to try an alternative one?

So the question is...is therea touch.dll for the mogul? :)

I guess I wasn't clear enough. there IS a touch.dll for your mogul because touch.dll is the name of the touchscreen driver, but because it doesn't come from a Touch-device I hasn't got the touch-controls - eg. TouchFLO - implemented. and if you were to ask: no they are not interchangeable, you can't use your Ati driver either to power your nVidia graphics card.
you'll have to use one of the alternative programs.

What is the Baby-Polaris? Its not on HTC's homepage, nor do I see anything in PDADB.NET. Do you mean the 02 Orbit, which is just a rebranded Touch Cruise/Polaris?

Actually a Polaris is a Polaris so no, I wasn't talking about the Xda orbit 2. No I meant the Pharos, 3470 I think it is. The Baby-Polaris ;)

Schaggo, then why would you reply to a ridiculous thread?

I've seen worse, and as you can see the / at the end i tried to deleted the questions but hit enter and that a bit too fast,

So next time don't jump the gun, and maybe put some thought into what you say.

Your btw IM talk is rather ridiculous , like you would break a nail to type it all out.

Think about it for a second before replying: did I give a serious answer or not? Did I actually contribute to the thread in a helpful manner? Think for just 3 seconds, thats already enough, the answer's not that hard to find.

My words were and are still well chosen: there shouldnt ever have been any more question marks than one, maybe two.

And regarding my IM talk: give me ONE SINGLE ABBREVIATION I used in the message you quoted above. Come on, lets get it sorted out, punk.

So get off your high hourse, Punk, and relax.

If you don't like my questions marks, then dont reply in a thread that you don't like a title. didn't know titles could bother some individuals so much

Maybe your Punk Attitude needs a little adjusting .

And By the way - if question marks bother you so much , i wonder about the people that like to use smilies in every line.

??????????????????????????????????????? doesn't make it more important, and doesn't make it any less important, it is a character in the Kkkkkkeyboardddddd

does that bother you as wellllll punkkkk.

you don't like something, avoid it. didn't you learn that when you were younger?
