Just bought an XDA Orbit 2 phone, which I am very happy with.

Only one small issue I have is that playback of wmv files is very jerky.

Has anyone else had this problem, I guess it is to do with the compression type but would appreciate any advice on the issue.
Mybe there is a fix or patch available or even another media player.

Thanks in advance.

No offense, but have you been living under a rock?

As far as I was aware the htcclassaction thing has nothing to do with the Hermes as I too get choppy WMV playback on both the Hermes and my Polaris.

The same files however (all sized to fit screen) play fine on my little Cowon D2 with it's itty-bitty processor.

.avi on coreplayer seems okay though. :)

The Hermes doesn't have an MSM 7x00 chipset, but is affected since it has a real ATI ImageON chip, and HTC didn't supply drivers for it also.

reencoding the clips to match something closer to the res of the device have been a fix in most cases
