wont use edge for internet only tries to connect to gprs on non gprs company

is there a way i can make it connect to edge and not gprs because all gprs does is fails to connect because t-mobile only has edge is there something i can do or set?

EDIT: its a att 8525 unlocked for t-mobile with wm6.1

EDGE is a form of GPRS

When you see G instead of E as the connection icon, it just means that either

1 - your signal is terrible and falls back on G

2 - That the local T-Mobile antenna doesnt support E

3 - That something's wrong with your phone's reception (change ROM)





Do you ONLY get the G icon?

If you sometimes get E, then your problem is either #1 or #2

If you never get E, then it's definitively #3

if it's 3, and changing your ROM doesnt do anything, try a new SIM card.
