O2 XDA Orbit 2 Very much a bad GSM connection!

Has updated German O2 XDA Orbit 2 on the English version. After that communications or not or very weak signal. Tried to update all radio:
Polaris Radio 1.58.21.23
Polaris Radio 1.58.25.14
Polaris Radio 1.58.26.20
Polaris Radio 1.64.06.04
Polaris Radio 1.64.08.21
Does not help. Has updated original German insertion - has not helped. Has updated Russian - has not helped. Help what to do?

I've the same issue in Belgium with the Proximus phone network.
Updated with last WWE ROM and everything but gps was finie. I then decided to update ROM radios to see if I could get a better GPS signal. Since then, I've got with all radio ROMs a very weak 3G signal.

Any idea?

Search the forums people... there's been loads of complaints about "Reception difficulties" "Bad reception" "bad signal" ....


Might want to try this: go to your phone settings, switch the top phone option from auto to GSM and NOT to wcdma. This might fix your issue.

Have you gone to Settings->Phone "Band" tab and set another of the 4 band options? (this is on the BEPE 0.67 ROM, not sure if it is on the release ROM though)

I read all the instruction, flashed the ROM and everything appeared to work just fine except now, batterystatus tells me that I have 34% signal strength (which is normal for where I am) but I can't get a connection to the o2 network. I've tried every single radio rom from the collection listed in the Polaris upgrades area but nothing seems to work. So if anyone could help me I would be over the moon or if anyone has a copy of the original o2 UK radio rom that I could flash my device with i'd love to hear from you.

Try Murata Radio Rom.. :D
Don't forget to backup your device.. ;)

i had the same problem...flash murata radio and everything will be ok

if you don't want the hard reset just use udk's custom ruu or flash the radio from microsd renaming the ruu_signed.nbh in POLAIMG.nbh (your device must be hard spl and in bootloader mode).... micro sd must be formatted in fat32 or it will not work

I've now flashed my orbit 2 with the murata rom and got a connection to o2 immediately but now i don't seem to have working bluetooth. I'm using udK's latest diamond rom for the touch cruise. Could this be the problem?

try to download the bt fix from the first post of udk diamond rom's 3ad...i have this radio as you can see in my signature and no issue with bt

"Murata Radio" - to my mind only the one thing which can help us. By the way, Polaris is one of the top models of HTC. Then why on earth we have so many problems with it? GSM, Bluetooth, video etc.
