WM Crashing on AP 4.0

All,

Has anyone had any issues with WM crashing on 4.0?

(Best case is that WM fails to load, worst case is that it locks up the device...)

Is there any any one that has any good techniques that can be used to uninstall or reinstall WM to get it to behave properly?

WM? Windows Mobile?

Have you tried a Hard Reset to reload the Windows mobile software?

Yes, I tried the reset didn't work, but I found the solution on the bugs thread on post #26.

Here is what worked:

Key "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Skins"

DefaultLandscapeSkin = /windows/wmp_WPC_player_640x480_96dpi.skn
(change 480x640 to 640x480)

DefaultPortraitSkin = /windows/wmp_WPC_480x640_96dpi.skn"
(change 640x480 to 480x640)


Then it starts the Media Player correctly.

Hopefully this information will be a bit more helpful, since it isn't burried on one of the 8 or so 4.0 threads... :-)
