One day my wizard decided to stop recognizing my 2gb Toshiba MiniSD card. I tried all the usual, formatting, etc... I even reflashed my wizard from TNT to Slim Edition, it still doesn't work (doesn't show up in file explorer, memory manager, nothing).

I'm confident this is not a hardware issue, the phone responds to the card being inserted/removed with the backlight.

Also, I have tried it with 2 other MiniSD cards (2gb Kingston and 16mb Kingston). All of these cards do work, recognized by both my laptop, other phone and digital camera.

Pls. help people! I need this to run TomTom :(

Thanks for any help!

So are you saying that the toshiba card is recognized by other hardware? and is any other cards recognized by your phone?

I believe he's saying all the cards are recognized by other hardware which obviously means that the problem is in the Wizard.

If warranty has expired i suggest dismantling the phone and clean all pieces carefully

EDIT:
found another post that might be of interest

Just to clarify, yes all the cards are recognised by everything apart from phone.

Yes, the phone is indeed out of warranty, I'll disassemble it then.

Thanks

Any luck with this? I've just had the same issue, remember this thread and came for help. In the meantime, I removed my SD, shut down the wizard for a few seconds and turned on again with no SD card. I put the SD card in my reader and defragmented it in Windows and when I put it back in the phone, it was recognized. I don't know if it's anything of the above but my SD now works. Good luck

Still no luck. Took apart phone, ensured contacts were clean, tried everything.

Then I formatted/defragmented all of my test cards in every combination possible.

Still no luck, they're recognised by everything apart from phone :(

oh also, just remembered... Before the card went awry, I was having battery drainage, and amongst other things I tried, were some SD power management drivers... Could it be something to do with that? are there different drivers I could try?

Why not a Hard-reset? or a new ROM?

Hello guys,

I have same trouble with my Qtek A9100! The original SD Card 512MB that came with is broken, don't format, don't delete files and don't accept any new files... so i buy a 2GB kingston, brand new, but don't recognize at first time in a B.D 3.1, after install SD card high capacity it work's...
After some time, my phone become locked in that 3 colored screen, only way to solve my problem is a change for a new one.
Now it's in a original rom, brand new, but don't recognize 2GB SD Card and don't accept SD card high capacity installation.
i don't like to update my rom again, but could this be the only way?

(sorry! my english is a little bit rusted!)

Brazillian grettings!
