Before with factory WM6 no problems with Destinator 6/PN, now after flashing to Dutty's ROM, it does not work anymore (reinstalled it as well) and the 7.xxx versions won't work either. They stop at a certain screen, e.g. where one has to accept that he/she has been warned of using the device while driving. Please find a solution to this since I am in the UAE and it sucks to not know your way around here...

First of all, wanted to say thanks for the ROM, looks and feels great. On to the point, I want to try the desktop remote mobile program, but I am sure I need to run a program on my pc first. I have searched this thread to no avail. I tried google and RDM is a program by Shape, which is either a new version or not the same program included in this ROM. Can anyone point me in the right direction? What do I need on my pc to try this out?

I see that you fixed the 'G' connection icon - would it be easy to implement a patch to fix this version or does your fix need to be cooked into the new ROM?

Yeow! But I love MSVC. I forgot to add that in a list of conditions.

You need to enable the Remote Desktop Connection (check under accessories) - you can do a google search to learn all about it.

The site i use which gives one free domain name is www.dyndns.org. Type in a web address and it points to your computer, so you dont have to memorize your ip address.

Gracias, Rabdo. That actually worked. I went into Settings->Personal->Voice Command and then set
Announce Notifications through device speaker or wired headset only

And it now works. Thanks for that simple tip. Never had to do it before on other stacks.

I have got this ROM installed in Tilt with radio 1.65.20.29 and works great with AT&T service. But when I pick up a call, it is dropped immediately and every time I have to call the caller back right away. Has any body else having this problem?

Also, which is the best radio for USA west coast (California)? Any recommendations.

1) Change the radio, or download the rom that's compatible with the 1.65 radios. Any of the wm6.1 radios that don't start with 1.65 should work for you.
2) Not likely to be rom related, but you never know. The only way to test that would be to try flashing a different rom.

Dutty swapped the advantage start menu for the normal menu in the hybrid rom.

I really prefer the advanced menu to make my rom complete. i have checked on various signatures for the cab file but no luck accessing from my kaiser.

try disabling cleartype, soft resetting and see what happens.

I've never seen that problem, nor have I seen the problem described on any of Dutty's threads before, so I'm guessing it may even be a hardware (?) problem...

Just to be safe, did you perform a hard-reset on your device after you flashed? I've heard that not doing so can lead to erratic behavior and the behavior that you're describing certainly sounds erratic. I hard reset after flashing religiously, but then again, I also don't step on cracks in the sidewalk, so YMMV.

edit: Slight update: I was still curious about why clear type would cause this problem so I went back and turned it on, reset it and the problem is still gone. Kind of strange.

I don't know what it is either, but i had a similar problem and that fixed it. Hopefully someone smarter than me can fix it. I am good at tracing back the problem to the cause, but i am not much help at fixing the cause...though i don't even like cleartype anyway so it doesn't matter to me much if they fix it or not. :P

Have you disabled the proxy? Also what program are you using to sync emails? Also for the weather issue check out this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=392644). It might be of help.

and then uncheck the box "this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet"

I have another request then though: With the originally shipped ROM my Kaiser used to show a constant red light in battery mode when the screen was turned off and I missed a call or a message while being away. Now the left light constantly flashes green. Appreciate your help!

I also had som gps issues after flashing, the problem occured when flashing back to shipped raw dump. GPS wouldnt work in any aplications (TomTom, Googlemap, variouse GPS fix aps. ++). I thought it was dead for sure, then when i reinstalled this WM6.1 no cube whit .06 radio (I live in Norway) AND! did a hard reset AND powered down I manage to revive the fix using the gps test aplication. Now it works under any circomstances. You might have bricked the instalation if you have been messing/testing the External GPS under Settings/Connections. Read that this is sensitive and gets dodgy if you messes whit the standar setup. I am cluless on youre issue but perhaps if you reflash, hard reset (after flash) and power down then try running the GPS test you can get a fix?

Edit: I see that I "tried" to answer another question (gps no device, hehe), try using the No Data ap. and restart to see what it does? Or turn GPRS completly off? Didnt know TomTom nor other navigators used Dialup? (exept google map that is :) )

Answer to the Norwegian dude back in tread who was asking about Keyboardfix not working.. This does the trick :)To you who are trying to get the Norwegian keyboard to work, do this:

1: Open your fav register editor
2: Go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\KEYBD\ "
3: Open "CurLang"
4: Change to decimal and enter 1044 as the value. (or you could try 414 in hexadesimal)

This works perfectly for me.
The FN+space is giving me a comma, the fn + wlan functions, aswell as the file explorer button :)

Tried the No thrills German ROM and it works perfectly but their ROM is sptripped of all the cool funtions added by dutty...I'd love to use your ROM, so take the challenge and try to find out why Destinator is not working in your release...

You might try a couple of the new roms that are out right now. There are a few based on the newest att build and so far i've been hearing really good things about all of them, they all seem pretty fast, and they might be compatible for you.

C`grats man :D Just got back on kaiser as i sold my 4350 last summer and MAN things has changed !! Actually I bought kaiser just to brew and try others "recipes" :) Anyway, now comes the good part; debugging, testing and customize you device. And man that is timetaking stuff where xda is youre bible for sure.. Cant count all the times this site has helped me out, back on 4350 and now on kaiser. Love it.

TBA; Norwegian T9 and luang (English is a pain the #&"! for me). Today I have flashed my SP 4-5 times to check settings and grab files I need to setup this rom on Norwegian (not everything just the importen parts). Will repost everything when I`m done.

I just screwed up my Tilt and was forced to do a hard reset. I've been using the April 1st rom all this time. Now it gives me an excuse to flash this rom. Man, there's a lot of reading I have to do.

Just a warning, I know what I did to freeze my device. My battery was completely drained so I plugged it into the charger. I didn't give it enough time to charge up a little bit and I turned it on right away. It didn't have enough juice for a full boot and it got stuck. Then I had to do a hard reset.

Learn from my mistake. :(

The phone will connect to my home network, but when I go and use internet explorer, i can't seem to surf the net. All i get is "the page cannot be found. check the name again". is there a certain wireless setting that i'm suppose to change after flashing? has anyone else had this problem?

I installed the rom and just wanted to know if everyone using it as 3g is getting the correct speeds? 3g launched in my area and it isn't going that fast at all for me. I was wondering if it's the rom or radio, or just the provider didn't totally switch it fully over yet.

You might try a couple of the new roms that are out right now. There are a few based on the newest att build and so far i've been hearing really good things about all of them, they all seem pretty fast, and they might be compatible for you.

It might be as simple as going to Settings -> Connections -> HSDPA Switch. Set it to "Turn on HSDPA." Not sure if this is enabled by default, but it didn't seem to be so on my phone. Once I set it, on vacation, I went from 92 kbps to like 800 kpbs. Big diff.

Hello everyone. Boy, there are a LOT of posts here. I am having difficulties.
1. I'm using radio 1.65.20.29. All of a sudden, I can't hear anyone calling. It says I'm connected, but I hear no one on the other end. My current ROM is the April 29th Build (this thread). Is this a known issue? Or... should I not be using this radio with this ROM. I'm in the Indianapolis area, and have been trying several radios. They all seem to drain just sitting in a 10 hour day.

2. I noticed today that my HOUSE charger works perfectly, but I can't get the device to charge in the CAR. I am wondering if this is ROM related.

3. I have no video capture since flashing this ROM. I've seen the posts about that, but I don't recall if there has been a fix.

I travel a lot and don't get a change to catch up on threads like I would desire. So, I apologize if I've missed the information I'm needing.

2) I had this issue, I probably means one of the contacts on your mini-usb on your phone isn't working properly. Look at the port, it maybe bent. Try testing it on a decent car charger not and oem, sometimes it makes a difference.
Its a known issue with kaisers that their mini-usb ports are poorly built.

Do a google search on tilt/kaiser fix mini usb port and you will see ppl with similar issues.

Go to settings-->connections-->usb to pc

Then uncheck the box "enable advanced network functionality" and then your phone will reconnect to the computer and it will not try to assign an IP address.

Does anyone know how to get Youtube to work "after" a Sprite restore? Oh, and start menu restorations too. I did a complete reg backup prior to creating my backup too. Not a huge issue, but, is there something I could do to backup these 2 items up for restoration? Looking for some ideas?

Figured out a workaround for shortcuts. I think calling the youtube player would be just as good as going too Youtube.com. Is there anyone with a little html skill that can make the Youtube icon from "videosites.htm" call the following: \Program Files\youtubeplay\youtubeplay.exe

Well, I guess I'm a noob, but I've spent pretty much the last month studying the process of installing a new rom like if I was studying for my phd. I have to say that there were a hundred times when I wanted to give up and just ask the first thing that was on my mind, but I made a pledge from the beginning that if all of you patiently took your time to get to where you are, then I'm no different. And so I hung in there, and read and read, and I'm proud to say that I can install a new rom on my kaiser with my eyes closed, well, maybe one eye. So thank you for setting the bar up so high for the rest of us to follow, maybe one day I'll be cooking my own roms as well. As for constructive criticism, there was one other rom I tried that had the battery status in a line on top of the screen, I did like that, but overall, your rom is the best. Everything is in the home page, and it's there with that hip and classy look. Thanks again for all your hardwork, your kindness will be rewarded a hundred times over.
PS - On a personal, what extra software do you or your friends add to the kaiser, or that you think is worth buying, such as tomtom, opera, im+, or anything that you feel is worth a good investment.

Hi. I downloaded and installed the Hybrid cubed version but now want the non-cube version - Duttys_Official_WM6.1_Rom_5.2.19716_UC_RTM__No-Cube_.1.321C02.zip.

After download I try and install using the password - duttys wm6.1.5.2.19700Hybridv2 but to no avail. I have literrally searched this thread to see if the password changed as it done change in the beginning and then I saw "evil_unicorn" which also has not worked for me.

It will do the same (well almost) as a HardReset. Both of these take the phone back to the state of the ROM flash (Carrier or otherwise).
So, it will be in the same state as when you flashed Dutty's ROM. All your personal stuff will be lost.

It happens so quickly, I can't get a screenshot of it. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Any chance this is caused by having Windows Animation turned on in either Advanced Config or Kaiser Tweak? I turned it on to see what it was like, and it was just a very clumsy flicker that annoyed more than anything...

Hm... don't use HTC Home so I wouldn't know. I've seen similar behavior on PCs when switching between programs that use different resolutions or bit-depths, but I can't imagine that's the case on a QVGA screen...

My Experience whit this ROM:\\

First week usage feedback:
After reading back and forward to ease the spamming by using the search function I manage to get the ROM wery nice for me as a Norwegian user. Think I flashed back and forward from Norwegian to Dutty`s about 15 times to search .dll, files and folder structure (im retarded and dont know how to extract a rom whit folder structure so I did it my own way).

After som light register tweaks I must say going from RU1.27.12.32 to 1.65.14.06 was painless and to the bether (so far and experienced). Seem like I get GPS fix faster and its working to phoning in GSM and 3G, MMS sending and GPRS is also no problem. Some sound issues in the start but as beeing Norwegian I didnt like Voice Command that much and rolled back using Voice Speed Dial instead completly deactivating VC and removing it from \windows\startup After the scratching I often got seems to be gone?!? So there is a slight chance VC is having something todo whit the scraping noise? Anyways, after fixing my keyboard register and installing ace HTC Keyboard Nordic.cab and disabling xT9 using Touch and regular Keyboard everything work as a charm! No lagging spacebar, no nothing. I also install duttys lokmeup IE slow scroll fix + XDA WM 6.1 P.I.E For WM6.cab (this could be imaginary but..) IE seems to start faster and load sites + scrolling didnt seem so laggy. Opera was no problem installing/using, some other cabs I am using with no issues that is could be worth mentioning is: Google map, TomTom (last upd.), 1881 mobilsøk, MoDaCo NoData, S2U2, Tilt Slidingsound conf., Snp Time, microsoft corp. extended dst update and skype. About skype, I had some problmes but found version 2.1.0.65 to work .. BUT .. and this could be just because I only tried to phone my laptop beeing in the same room (will try "loong distance" lateron) I did get a echo and could hear myself talking ? But I am suspecting its the described issue above who is inflicting.

The rom does not hang at all here, those times I had to perform soft reset was due working whit tweaks that could make the phone to hang. It has not one single time gotten into lock/freeze state by its own (yet). The only thing I have noticed is when I exit the 6 button Com manager I somethimes get a scrabled difuse image in the background who disapears shortly, this happends when its on first run or comming from sleep modus. One time I experienced my taskbar disapeard hehe, I think blackbar crashed but it was fine after a soft reset so it could be me running to much making the system crash (I am to fast for my little Kaiser fella somethimes). Youtube worked as a charm, streaming media never fails, it just not work in active sync. But hey! Why watch the tube on phone while youre on a laptop?? Anyway, will post a follow up after a couple more week`s to see if something changes to worse or keeps stable.

REMAP PTT BUTTON LOONG PRESS TO WIFI
Remap youre voice recorder shortcut (holding push to talk button) to wifi settings:
Make a shortcut using Total Command or notepad, name it wifi.lnk and put it in youre \windows\start menu\programs\
Put this inside:Settings>Connections>Network Cards = 21#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,17
Goto Start->Settings->Button and remap Button 6(Hold) to wifi. Now you easly can connect to network whitout using additional clicks only one button, so from Today`s screen you just hold send button (green phone button to activate 6 buttom com manager) and activate Wifi, then hold PPT button to start wifi and select network. Two buttons and youre connected.

NORWEGIAN KEYBOARD MAPPING
Something to the Norwegian user`s, to get ÆØÅ (Norwegian letter and propper mapped keys on keyboard:
Use regedit and goto:HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD
Change CurLang to: 414 (or 1044 Decimal) SOFT RESET-> DONE!!

VOICE SPEEDDIAL.CAB
I took the liberty to attach Kaiser_CyberonVoiceSpeedDial.zip for the one`s who are experience weird noises or other bugs whit voice command and could accept going back to VSD (see bothom for attached file).

Also for Norwegian users there is a working Norwegian Keyboard + Keypad.cab to use on this rom (whit dictonary +++).


NORWEGIAN? THEN REMEMBER:
Set regional setting to Norwegian (Start->Settings->System->Regional Settings), this way you get the time 24h clock and none uk/us dial prefix: (123) 456-78 but like this: 12345678. Also set prefix dial to +47 by Start->Contacts->Menu (look bothom)->Option-> Area code: +47

I get this too. Hard to duplicate cuz it only happens every once and a while. And it happens quickly so I cant capture either. Just "fuzzes" when coming back to home screen from another screen like sms/mms. On the plus side, it doesn't seem to effect anything...just annoys me.

I have the same experience, mostly after comm manager

also, this is the 1st rom from dutty I've used that froze my kaiser up completely (2 resets in about 2 weeks).

but the pro's still outweigh the conns ;-)

I've been using this ROM for about a week already and I have an issue that I would like to get fixed. The start menu will start to generate alot of random crap between my recent programs section and my programs/settings section on the menu and some how cause the background image of the start menu to turn white. On the previous DUTTY's ROM I was using, it was working well, why not in this one??? I've tryed all the "Keyboard fix" cab I could find, but none has corrected this problem...

I am aware and know how to utilize the above but does anyone know how the write a "contactfix.xml" to utilize in UC so this will be fixed after flash? I can export the .reg and convert to .cab, but my .xml skill are "Slim" and "None." Oh, and "Slim" left town.

My Experience whit this ROM:\\

First week usage feedback:
After reading back and forward to ease the spamming by using the search function I manage to get the ROM wery nice for me as a Norwegian user. Think I flashed back and forward from Norwegian to Dutty`s about 15 times to search .dll, files and folder structure (im retarded and dont know how to extract a rom whit folder structure so I did it my own way).

After som light register tweaks I must say going from RU1.27.12.32 to 1.65.14.06 was painless and to the bether (so far and experienced). Seem like I get GPS fix faster and its working to phoning in GSM and 3G, MMS sending and GPRS is also no problem. Some sound issues in the start but as beeing Norwegian I didnt like Voice Command that much and rolled back using Voice Speed Dial instead completly deactivating VC and removing it from \windows\startup After the scratching I often got seems to be gone?!? So there is a slight chance VC is having something todo whit the scraping noise? Anyways, after fixing my keyboard register and installing ace HTC Keyboard Nordic.cab and disabling xT9 using Touch and regular Keyboard everything work as a charm! No lagging spacebar, no nothing. I also install duttys lokmeup IE slow scroll fix + XDA WM 6.1 P.I.E For WM6.cab (this could be imaginary but..) IE seems to start faster and load sites + scrolling didnt seem so laggy. Opera was no problem installing/using, some other cabs I am using with no issues that is could be worth mentioning is: Google map, TomTom (last upd.), 1881 mobilsøk, MoDaCo NoData, S2U2, Tilt Slidingsound conf., Snp Time, microsoft corp. extended dst update and skype. About skype, I had some problmes but found version 2.1.0.65 to work .. BUT .. and this could be just because I only tried to phone my laptop beeing in the same room (will try "loong distance" lateron) I did get a echo and could hear myself talking ? But I am suspecting its the described issue above who is inflicting.

The rom does not hang at all here, those times I had to perform soft reset was due working whit tweaks that could make the phone to hang. It has not one single time gotten into lock/freeze state by its own (yet). The only thing I have noticed is when I exit the 6 button Com manager I somethimes get a scrabled difuse image in the background who disapears shortly, this happends when its on first run or comming from sleep modus. One time I experienced my taskbar disapeard hehe, I think blackbar crashed but it was fine after a soft reset so it could be me running to much making the system crash (I am to fast for my little Kaiser fella somethimes). Youtube worked as a charm, streaming media never fails, it just not work in active sync. But hey! Why watch the tube on phone while youre on a laptop?? Anyway, will post a follow up after a couple more week`s to see if something changes to worse or keeps stable.

REMAP PTT BUTTON LOONG PRESS TO WIFI
Remap youre voice recorder shortcut (holding push to talk button) to wifi settings:
Make a shortcut using Total Command or notepad, name it wifi.lnk and put it in youre \windows\start menu\programs\
Put this inside:Settings>Connections>Network Cards = 21#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,17
Goto Start->Settings->Button and remap Button 6(Hold) to wifi. Now you easly can connect to network whitout using additional clicks only one button, so from Today`s screen you just hold send button (green phone button to activate 6 buttom com manager) and activate Wifi, then hold PPT button to start wifi and select network. Two buttons and youre connected.

NORWEGIAN KEYBOARD MAPPING
Something to the Norwegian user`s, to get ÆØÅ (Norwegian letter and propper mapped keys on keyboard:
Use regedit and goto:HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD
Change CurLang to: 414 (or 1044 Decimal) SOFT RESET-> DONE!!

VOICE SPEEDDIAL.CAB
I took the liberty to attach Kaiser_CyberonVoiceSpeedDial.zip for the one`s who are experience weird noises or other bugs whit voice command and could accept going back to VSD (see bothom for attached file).

NORWEGIAN KEYBOARD + KEYPAD .CAB
Also for Norwegian users there is a working Norwegian Keyboard + Keypad.cab to use on this rom (whit dictonary +++).


NORWEGIAN? THEN REMEMBER:
Set regional setting to Norwegian (Start->Settings->System->Regional Settings), this way you get the time 24h clock and none uk/us dial prefix: (123) 456-78 but like this: 12345678. Also set prefix dial to +47 by Start->Contacts->Menu (look bothom)->Option-> Area code: +47

It might be as simple as going to Settings -> Connections -> HSDPA Switch. Set it to "Turn on HSDPA." Not sure if this is enabled by default, but it didn't seem to be so on my phone. Once I set it, on vacation, I went from 92 kbps to like 800 kpbs. Big diff.

I am using a Dutty Hybrid v2 non-cube with 1.64.06.04. And I agree that this is an HTC Home issue that occurs when that refreshes upon returning home from some other application. No biggie, just annoying. Impossible to screen cap by the way. We need that short lady from the Poltergeist movie to come catch it for us.

I think I've done my due diligence in searching the threads, and I apologize if I missed it.

I'm having three problems since I flashed the ROM:

-Weather will only update when connected via WiFi.
-GPSTest hangs on 'starting up'. No sat signals ever come in.
-Contacts Tab is missing (for quick dialing without going into cube).

For the latter, I've gone into HTC Home customizer, and made sure it's active. It is, but still no Icon.

And to be sure, I did another hard reset. all to no avail.

sorry for the repost, i put this on quite early this morning and its nothing major.

When i first installed this rom i got hard reset mixed up with a soft reset, yes stupid mistake.

saying that the rom has worked absolutely fine, fixed a tonne of issues, should i still hard reset, or even better re flash the rom and then follow the procedure correctly this time?

I had 2 freeze-ups today while using PIEplus and the HTC Diamond Querty Keyboard. I'm not sure what the culprit was.

I'm wondering if anyone else had this issue.

Well, I guess I'll try and get back to the stock AT&T ROM with my Tilt since Dutty's gone. Shit! I became really interested with this forum and went out and purchased a TILT. Now I feel dropped like a hot potato, my video doesn't work anymore (it's just audio and black screen), was told that fixes were coming, and NOW I hear that the person to FIX the ROM problems has quit!

I appreciate all of Dutty's hard work, and I'm forever grateful for his efforts, but I feel like... well forget it...

Ok Guys I was about to upload the other versions but like what i said last night i wanted to release two versions first to spot any bugs.
So far these are my to do lists to get this rom almost perfect for myself

1. enable back hsdpa icon in settings
2. I didnt input the comm manager pop up hack in this rom but you can do it ur self ,will show u how.
3. tcpmp plays for me in the internet explorer when i tested it, should also play with the video sites.
4. put in back shaps advance config

This has been discussed a lot in this thread. There is not a fix for this. I think it has to do with the dialer not being designed for this device. Just use the ok button instead of the red end key.

I have searched the forum using google and tried all the popular keyboards out there but there but they are all crap and do not meet my needs. Dutty previously released a ROM (like 2 ROMS before this latest one) that had a really nice iPhone like SIP keyboard with large keys that one could easily type even using our paws. I don't use the physical keyboard on my phone at all because I also think its crap (I have the ATT version of the kaiser). The only thing that was missing from Dutty's iPhone keyboard were some commonly used keys (I think it was # and some others) and the ability to easily disable T9 and the other similar crap.

Can anybody please point me in the right direction to finding this dream SIP keyboard that I'm looking for and how to easily disable the T9 on it? Thanks!

Dutty's rom included PCM keyboard, it is the iphone skin that you are looking for. Search "iphone skin pcm keyboard" and i think you'll find what you are looking for.

This has been discussed a lot in this thread. There is not a fix for this. I think it has to do with the dialer not being designed for this device. Just use the ok button instead of the red end key.

I've got a curve too from work. Couldn't carry a big blackberry and tytnII all in one pocket!

Blackberry is great for work, email, calendars don't think WM is anywhere close. WM is more fun though, can keep trying new stuff, new roms, etc.

can anyone shed some light on why i'm having issues accessing certain pages within my company intranet.
problem only occurs since i've flashed new rom's, however, everything was fine on the first day using the new rom. on 2nd day certain intranet pages wont load. my colleages standard handsets work fine.

i have not changed any settings before problem occured on 2nd day using rom.

i'm guessing the web app does not like my browser -"user agent" string maybe?
why it would work fine on the first day is beyond me though.

also i have checked the URL in : connections advanced exceptions
and soft resets make no difference
could this be a rom issue or browser issue?

ROM version states "DualTouch V6 WWE" have i flashed the correct ROM?
radio 1.27.14.32 seems to work fine though i think i read i am supposed to use one specific to WM6.1 or was it WM6? what symptoms should be expected with incorrect radio?

You sure you're using WiFi and not your DATA connection from your phone? That speed sounds typical of a non-HSDPA DATA connection.

No, I'm using the wifi radio to access my LAN at home connection through my wireless Linksys router. This only happens using this ROM. I've re-flashed it several times to try and shake it and even hard reset it. When I use another of Dutty's ROMs everything works fine. I even checked to make sure that it wasn't a problem being caused on my network by connecting another PDA and an MDA phone. I got really fast transfer speeds on those.

Other than that issue, I really like this ROM. It may not even have anything to do with the ROM itself. Perhaps there's a registry hack that could solve this. I tried searching the posts for any info on that with no luck. This really sounds like some kind of bandwidth throttling or something similar to limit the transfer speed.

Can anyone one help here?

I'm a total noob at this stuff, but I think I may have stumbled across the fix for the ATT Tilt weather problem everybody has been having (myself included).

In Start-> Settings-> Connections there is an icon labeled GPRS Setting. This was set to CHAP authentication by default. I changed it to PAP authentication and now I can download weather updates. I can't explain how or why this worked for me as I know nothing about it - I guessed my way through it.

Other things I tried that didn't work included:
- Downloading the HTC Home dll from p1tater's site to replace the more recent one.
- Deleting proxy settings
- Installing the various ATT WAP Settings cabs

If somebody already posted this, I apologize - I searched through these replies and didn't find this one yet. Hope this helps.

Now i only have a problem with the alarm. It only plays the alarm once, instead of repeating the sound. I click the repeating option, but it just doesn't work. Tried disabling, re-enabling, soft reset. But it stays stubborn.

Same problem here... I've also tried the disabling/enabling thing but didn't work. No workaround? Anyone?

To Dutty:

In your previous roms with Cyberon voice command you could navigate and call at the same time, without being thrown out of the navigation program (TomTom). Now, when i accept an incoming call, it pops to the Call Status window and minimizes TomTom. In your older WM6.0 versions that wasn't the case. Is this because of the MS Voice command, or is it something else?

This is a big issue for me because i travel and call a lot for my work. So, if there's a workaround for it, or if it'll be fixed in the next release, i'm happy to hear it.

What's the implemented threaded sms application? Can't find what program it is and if there's a thread here on XDA about it.

I think the app is sms mode 3.1 not sure of it, if someone can confirme would be cool.

Hi to all, I'm having a problem with this rom, when someone is calling me with a private number I see the incoming call on the display, but my phone doesn't ring.
I've installed radio 1.65.20.29 but I think it doesn't depend by the radio.

Dutty was just here a few days back saying he was readying his next release... I can't really understand his frustration with the community, if that's true. Well, you do have a point, but let me describe my case more clearly:
From Power Settings, the phone is set to sleep in 1min. I have chosen "Alarm5" as the alarm sound. Indeed, this sound is quite short. Along with the sound, I 've set it to vibrate. I set the alarm to fire on 9.23pm, exited the alarm configuration and immediately put kaiser to sleep (by pressing the power button). The phone wakes up at 9.23pm, vibrating and playing the sound but I don't dismiss it. It stops and repeats it 3 times in total (apparently every 20secs) but still I don't dismiss it. In 9.24pm (1 minute later than 9.23) the phone goes to sleep, exactly as it should since that is configured in the Power settings. Unfortunately, the alarm does not fire again! The time in Greece is 9.50pm right now, but still, the phone is sleeping...

So, I guess what happens is this: The phone is really tired and sleepy, it tries to wake me up, it sees that I don't get up, thinks "he doesn't wake up, why should I", and goes back to sleep along with me :)

Of course, my kaiser is my backup alarm clock, but still I depend on it to wake up :mad:
So, shouldn't it try at least for a more reasonable timeout? Let's say, 30mins, and then give up....

do you have your contacts saved to the sim card? You can't assign custom ringtones to sim contacts, they must be saved to the phone.

since you have the 1.64 version, I suggest changing to any of the previous radios, especially one of the Niki radios.

i have the contacts save on the phone. not on the sim. ( well they also on the sim but it dont show them any more) and they have custom ringtones but when they call it still just rings the default ring tone.


and 1 more bug. i cant answer or hang up on calls with my bluetooth head set. it has 1 button on the side and normaly it answers and hangs up. now it does NOTHING.. unless i hold it for a few secs and then it puts them on hold.

Yup. Exactly the same here. When i use that airplane sound it sounds a couple of times, and then the phone goes into sleep mode (after 1min) and the sound also suddenly stops. I like the old alarm, where you select an alarm and it keeps repeating it over and over again. Now there are indeed pauses of 20secs between it.

If I change the phone to landscape and reboot, it goes back to portrait.

This occurred with another 6.1 rom I tried a few months back. 6.0 is fine. I was kinda hoping they'd have fixed this by now....

Bluetooth - when I go to COM ports, I cannot add one. No option comes up. Is this a radio issue?

Thank you for the great ROM! I was a flash virgin until last night. Going from the knowledge I gleaned from the helpful people here and the wikis and FAQs, I did a hardSPL on the tilt, flashed to your Cube ROM with radio 1.64.08.21, and applied the Tilt keyboard fix. I thought the Touch Dual was another of HTC's smartphones, and whenever I saw things referring to "DualTouch," I just assumed that these were apps or ROMs ported from that device.

I could be wrong.
