I loaded this up and my phone went to hell. Had memory issues up the ass, and I couldn't text due to massive lag (that might be because old texts were loading from the back-up, though). Anyway, it just had issues and I had to switch back to Open Touch just to leave the house with a working phone.

Dunno what's wrong with it when there doesn't seem to be any programs, but there's an issue somewhere.

ActiveSync ...... All contacts , notes , and calendar dates updated with no issues.

Audio ..... AudioManager nothing more to say. Two thumbs up

Battery ..... So far seems very strong as running wifi , full back light, installing and un-installing, playing with UL and BatteryStatus. Also had several phone calls.

Blue-tooth ....... Sweet as usual with alberts roms as I click bluetooth I dont have to goto add new device it just grabs it and connects. Has no draw backs as of yet using 3 blue-tooth units on it atm.

Calculator ........ Is working with no flaws. Just beautiful ... A unique skin for it.

Camera ..... Sweet with the easy settings for storage as you open it the first time

Games ....... Well albert wasn't as nice as he was in the past he only added 1 game.

Internet Sharing ....... Untested dont have data package looking for a good hack for it free.

MMS ....... Perfect out the box. Added the hack sweet as pie....

Phone Key Pad .... Beautiful keys..... Black tinted and sweet effect on the keys.

SMS ....... Another perfect out the box as we all knew before flashing.

Texting with Keyboard ...... The keypad letters all work fine. Great job albert.

Voice Command ...... There isn't one added ... I added one, but I thought he had 1 before or was that someone else.

Wifi ....... Wifi is working correctly and flawless.

Windows Media ...... Doesn't want to play much of anything but hey I dont use it . But it has a sweet appealing look. Why no carbon on it albert ?

Well it seems to have a lag in general ... The top bar seems to be a total mess and activesync likes to popup on the top bar upon resetting phone. Ok maybe the top bar has some new setup that albert brought to the table. But I quiet dont like it ... Kills the flow of things for me ... I dont seem to like pocketscreen as much as magic ss. Ok activesync keeps popping up all the time ..... Arggghhhhhhh .....

The screens on the MMS / SMS / installing software can do with out the fade lines in it ... Hurtful to my eyes. I do miss the MMS templates even tho its no biggie. And its only ver 4.2.8.1.

So if you want to complain about a rom remember if you don't speak up and tell the cook what you do and don't like then don't say anything at all. The cooks here are doing this out of appreciation , admiration and love of the art of cooking. If you think it is so easy then put out your own rom.

Now remember I tested this on a t-mobile wing . A lot of these problems may not occur on all phones. So if you have a different phone please post your findings.

The rom is impressive with incredible screens that kidnamedalbert created. I love the calculator look ..Also impressing at his custom explorer start page with his carbon on it yes I look at detail..

The wireless Lan screen is also an improvement to my eyes its clearer and more vibrant.

All the buttons work from the comm manager screen which has been flawed in a few roms .

Ok a BIG plus ... Thanks albert ... I havent been able to use my t-mobile OZ for a while and it works flawlessly with your rom .......

I hope my review of this rom helps many in their questions as I tried to cover as much space as possible. If you feel something is missing please make a note of it so for future note my reviews will be as full as possible. And once again thanks to papa for allowing me to be on the beta testers team . I feel so special now.

There is an option you get from activesync when connecting and setting up a phone for the first time asking you how you want the data shared , either changing all on the computer the phone or merging ... That is what needs changing.

I actually really liked this rom, so I had to make a few comments about it. I'm running a T-Mo Wing, and I previously had opentouch 4 and then aserg's, from those ones to this one was actually pretty awesome, I see much less bugs and quirks in your Rom.

Pureskillz reviews have been pretty throughout on any Rom hes played with, so I'll just add on top on what he has said.

Space-wise, I love the essentials in the program selection, and putting some of those advanced config settings in the Settings menu I thought was great.

WkTask, which skillz did not like, I actually find this utility very convenient, Just set the options to icons only, motherfracking sweet. Faster task management is like cornbread, "Aint nuttin wrong wit it."

Windows Media worked without any problems, audio manager works fine, but I'm so frackin sad, my calculator is skinless, I wanted to know what all the hype is about dammit. WHAT IS ALL THE HYPE ABOUT?!>>!!!!1111111

Internet sharing works fine, and btw Skillz there is no hack or work around for gprs, your going through a tmobile gateway whether or not you use the APN, so I honestly don't see any way to get onto any other EDGE network. Some people say that 5.99 plan works, honestly it was too limited for me, because all the ports I want to use are closed. So yeah 19.99 is high, but its worth it. EVERY PENNY if you ask my co-worker, he said that mobile porn has made his life easier. I don't know why that is, but I bought it, so I have it too and I report that I find its really the only way.

SMS and MMS no trouble there, I prefer MMS separated. So I liked the layout of the inboxes. I seem to have the MMS templated new message deal still? I don't know... And I don't bother with any hack, T-mobile limits MMS messages on the MMSC to 300k regardless, I didn't see any point in bumping up the size limit....

Games could have at least used solitaire. Because seriously, comon, playing dope wars is fun, but SMOKING dope wars in real life is... well its like nite and day honestly rofl.

Battery-wise, I find it mediocre. Running wifi and doing some media seems to run it down a bit faster than I remember. But I'll have to keep an eye and see if that's really the case or not. Dynamic OMAPing seems to always top out, it's odd.... I recommend the manual settings.

Performance actually really impressed me, so that's definitely why I'm keeping it. A couple lag points that appear to me as being a hardware limitation, so I really do give you thumbs up.

Nice review but you can send a lot with t-mobile ... I did test already as stated in my review of papa black ... So the hack is worth it ... Specially when wanting to send large files to someones e-mail.

Hey the last day, and I don't know if this is a rom or hardware issue. But the first time I start up, sometimes it goes to the 2nd bootscreen the crashes and reboots. The 2nd start up is always successful.

Hi I just got my t-mobile wing yesterday and I flashed to wm 6.1 (with carbonelisev4.2) and I've been having issues. For one my computer will no longer show that my wing is connected when it is. right now i'm currently uninstalling and attempting to re-install sync center (I have vista btw). My second issue is that I am a girl and I really don't like having the chick on the start-up screen or the phone dialing screen..is there anyway to change that..if all else fails I'd just like to go back to wm 6 and wait until i have enough experience in the functions of the phone before i attempt to try out new roms...if anyone could help me with these issues it would be greatly appreciated...thanks

you say youre using vista right?
okay click start>right-click computer>click manage>click continue(if popup comes up)>navigate to device manager>go to human interface devices or portable devices and see if any of them have a caution sign. if they do, that mean it needs updateing and thats why your wing wont connect. oh and your wing has to be connected to your computer when you do this.

thanks for the suggestion...it didn't work but i finally just went and asked my roommate if i could borrow her computer and installed sync center there and went thru all the threads and found the original t-mobile rom..i'm gonna wait a couple weeks before i try to reinstall any other kind of rom..get more familiar with the phone first...thanks so much for the help :)

Good to hear, I relied on your reviews during my first weeks in the forum! You are a godsend for people trying to get the stats for new ROMs! You were gone for so long people flooded the ROM threads with questions that your reviews could have answered. It was a mess! LOL! Ohh the horror of it all!:)
