Strange vista sound problem

Today i had no sound in vista, no error mrssages, everything seemed to work there were just no sound, rebooting and reinstalling sound driver did not solve the problem.

finally i tested sound in wm it was not working there either... soft booting wm made it work again in both vista and wm.

I am beginning to think that this is much more than just two operating system with a kvm switch.

try reinstall the drivers realtek audio
i have the same problem, and resolve it
