I do not want to install any dialer without it. Why it can by in Kaiser and for Athena they produce dialers without Video Call. Now a days all phones have VideoCall option, didn't they noticed that?

Great ROM, except T-Mob 2G-Dialer.
Great no preinstalled Opera on lite ROM (newest Opera build working great on this ROM and also opens Gmail and igoogle!), but where is Fingertouch?
Some icons missing, some energy saving options not activated (with schaps advanced config solved), still some waste like taskmanager and customer feedback preinstalled.

Does somebody know a source for big HTC Home from AP4?
Opera in Addons is very old, the newest build is much better (click, scrolling, javascript,...)

Good to hear this. Any chance of incorporating the HTC touchflo and the new contact application(the one with alphabet scroll on the right edge)? Hope you got the cooking in of sprite terminator setting working too), with working gps setting. Hope to be able to bluetooth transfer out to both other phones and PC, and receive from other phone.

the rom you DL does not have the same spl as your device so you need DL the same rom but different spl

I have been lucky to stop the merry-go-round
just by NOT doing the screen alignment
and rather flash a different ROM onto it in that stage.

Does anyone know of the registry settings to allow an incoming voice call to interrupt an Edge data transfer?

My calls have been going to voice mail and the phone isn't even ringing.

This used to be an issue some time ago on another device but I never had this issue on the WM5 or WM6 stock Athena ROM.

i have not tested it but i think its just a skin to replace the tmobile skin from the look of the files

Sorry to say, but it is not working well in 128 dpi. The smart dialing does not how its finding properly. It is old Zombie's skin. It works well only in 192 dpi.

This phone skin does not do video call. It's the same one that you get when you tick "disable phone skin" in realVGA. Anyone has the phone skin for video call (the one that you get when you uncheck 'disable phone skin" in realVGA)?

they are all spl 1.2 just so you know the ap4 spl 1.2 has data connection problem so you might not want to use that as you will be unable to connect to the internet unless its wifi. if you have anymore questions just ask

Is it? strange. In my case each time I try to dial any number, the smart dial fields show up one text row higher then previous time, so eventually all the smart dial section of dialer disappears above the top edge of the screen. This is only while in 128 or 96 dpi. In 192 dpi, no problem.
By the way, this is known problem with VGA dialers based on original dialer supplied by HTC.

Sorry Montechristo. I have used the file which looks the same as yours, but probably is different. Main has the same name and size so I came to the conclusion that it is the same as you posted (I did dowload yours to compare). Maybe I am wrong and yours is a different dialer. Anyway Eaglesteve, as you are looking for the original dialer, I am posting main version. This is Zombie's flavour of original HTC dialer, so everything is exactly as it was, only colors are changed. It is in black mood.

Now, i have buyed an athena, and i want to translate this ROM from WWE to ITA (0410) for personal use only (but if i can i'll release it).
this is the problem:
I have changed the muis, g'relocked all, translated the initflashfiles and the registry.
At this point, the rom boot and work for a few second after the screen setup.
After i can use the athena but only for a few seconds, then the PPC stuck totally and it is unusable (nothing happen if i touch the screen or the keyboard).
who can explain because this happen?

I have actually SPL 1.2 so I used this vanilla SPL 3.5.
I have switched the device to bootloader and started the ROMUpdateUtility.exe.
Normaly it should now update to SPL 3.5, right?? But after the rom is installed I am already on 1.2 and the device is rebooting all the time.

You can start from the above thread for AP ROM v4.00.
Didn’t find any on direct flash to spl 3.5.
Read very carefully the Install Guide. It guides you to spl 3.5 (one-way).

No joking matter read and re-read the guide before commencing.
Think the team are busy, getting direct help may not be immediate.

Please note, there is no promise of hyperspace or speed.
Neither am I encouraging it before a solution is available to downgrade.

It's not true. You can autoroate in spl 1.2 version of AP4 too, although there are other problems. I think AP4 and AP5 are slower, not faster than the other ROM by irus, especially the irus-taxist ROM.

Why try to get to SPL3.5 when so many who are there wish to come back desparately but can't? What you have there AP4 and AP5, are beta in nature, the final release date of which are unknown.

Read the very first post of this thread - it outlines what is included in the vanilla (base), lite and full ROMs. They are all the same underlying ROM - it's just what's been added on to the base ROM that differs for each flavor.

Personally, I would have liked to have strawberry and chocolate as opposed to lite and full, thus a neopolitan combination, but that's just me ... :)

- wifi still works well, detect and connect without problem
- when I connect to IE, and go to any site (gooogle or yahoo) It did not work and I received a message: "The address is not valid...."
- I've tried many way to solve it but nothing change :(
( HR, settings/connections...., Network Management...)
- the only thing I can do is just update for HTC weather, Resco Euro :(

if your talking about the background not being long enough at the bottom in 128 and 96 dpi then yes there is a fix you just have to resize the background image to something larger then 640x480

Hey Irus, i just installed your vanilla for spl1.2 and it seems very fast going thru menus...one quick questions is there a way to change the soft keys? as in when on the home screen I see phone for the left and gmail for the right? I thought i remember seeing something under settings called softkeys before, but I dont see this for your rom. Any tips and I do not even have a gmail account and would prefer it to read something else. Secondly, I have noticed that under settings-memory- there used to be a running programs tab, where I could force quite anything left running...thats gone as well.

I am actually currently running the ultra vanilla rom, but the problem was the same in the vanilla rom I pulled from this particular thread. I cannot figure out how to change the softkey words at the bottom of the screen....or for that matter, i'd love to remove the bar entirely.

It is not a problem of rom. All roms have this keys there. You can change them using SKTools, but these are part of rom. However you could use Wisbar Descktop/ Wisbar Advanced to change your screen completly.

Unzip the "zip" file and you will see it contains individual cab files of each program that can be installed directly from your PPC

At "rest" (after a reset with flight mode on) my previous ROM (original 6.1) would have a constant 91mA drain. With this ROM and radio the drain jumps from 98mA to 358mA then down to 221 mA to 180 mA and then back to 98mA. Then the pattern repeats.

It looks like there may be something running in the background (?).

Any idea why my batttery use is so much?

Any help would be appreciated.

In the 1-1/2 hours since full charge my battery charge has gone from 99% to 92% with no use of the device.

I turned off the box "Manage GPS automatically" to see if that was the problem.


Since I started this response the charge has dropped to 90% and I have a variable drain of about 90mA to 300mA.

Any idea?

if you are on ap4 spl 1.2 it is a known problem and there is no fix as of yet. sorry

Before I upgrade to this ROM, does this problem only affect IE, so I can use Opera instead?

I've got SPL v1.10 and want to load AP4 VANILLA Windows Mobile 6.1 but I note that this is for SPL1.2. So do I need to upgrade to v1.2 before loading the ROM and if so, how? Any advice appreciated.

My X7500 is both SIM and CID unlocked.

Hi Yamank69, if you are using your own router you may be able to circumvent your ISP's block as I have done in Turkey. Log in to your router and change the DNS address settings to those given on the OpenDNS site. (Google it)
Then when you connect to any web site the OpenDNS site translates the www address to an IP address instead of your ISP.

Installed the Vanilla ROM successfully I thought, but then found I had entered a loop. Every time the device starts up, it asks for the screen alignment, and starts the standard interface normally and promisingly. But then a message pops up saying 'it will automatically customise your device in 3 seconds' followed by a reset - over and over again. I gave it about six or seven goes before I realised that something as wrong. Any ideas?

Looks like you flashed a rom with the wrong SPL
Most people including myself have done this at one stage.
Do a search for "endless loop" or similar words to get the solution.

Very very great rom! (excuse me for my very bad english:-(
I only have one problem: it's impossible to see the contact. I only see the list with the phone number but when I open one contact that appear withouth the text. If I push MENU button, this don't open. I can see the detail only if I push EDIT or by other software like SPB mobile shell.
Any suggestion?

hi all. i just upgraded to ap4 spl 3.5. used the rom in the updater package. i have flashed the full version of this rom yesterday and now my g sensor is not working. gsen gives an error "cannot connect to g sensor". it was working fine in the prv rom but i like this one better. any fix yet? really dont want to go back to the prv rom :(
