Hello.

I'm a reseller. I've bought many dozens of HTC Cruise from different wholesalers. I got to a new supplier (AA wireless), just bought 15 phones to get to know them, including two HTC Cruise.

But the boxes are very different, Just like HTC's but different size, way bigger.

To the left, the two boxes from AA wireless, to the right, two regular boxes.

Aside from being larger, they are open just at one side... Of course HTC would not distribuite these boxes...

Could they be counterfeit? Could they be refurbished?

Inside the box everything looks normal. All the accesories sealed, the IMEI stickers are there... everything... The UPC barcodes work as they should, too.

Is there a way to run the IMEI or something in a database to know more about the phones? Do I have to ask HTC?

Regards.

Oh, on that one I did the *# 06 # Imei tets and got a whole different IMEI... 35598001216226301

These Cruise are refurbished or might even be some hight tech counterfeit... or something else... So I guess refurbished.

Nah, just turned it on... Does not make much of a difference really... Working fully or not, I did not intend to buy refurbished.
We'll see how we sort this out with AA wireless.
