jawbone -- voice command problem

i have gotten voice command to work thru the bluetooth on the atom life with the jawbone, even to call announce. problem is whenever i turn up the volume enough to hear things, voice dialing produces horrible feedback (squealing noise) and the pone does not recognize the command,

any fixes people know of?
