Hello,

I'm new with smartphones and did something stupid:
deleted a key, while trying to solve another problem, in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers

After this my s730 no longer connects to the mobile network. The key was similar to the one used for my main GPRS connection in this folder: {7C4B7A38-5FF7.....
I tried to move it because I thought they were identical, by I deleted it.

From what I remember it contained a subkey "Connections" and a (Default) with no value set. Maybe I'm wrong.

Can somebody let me know what could be in there? If not, how can I restore the phone and all it's settings to factory-state?

Thanks

I believe to restore it to the factory settings you have to hold both softkeys down and power it on, but I seem to recall someone saying you dont need to hold the power button just press it.

But I am sure someone will chime in with what was in that folder, myself once my phone is charged up probably :)

OK,

I deleted the first one. Can you let me know exactly its name and contents? You'll save me from many hours that it will take me to set it up again.

(My phone shows that its disconnected from the Cell Network, but its not! in any case I can't call from it and it won't ring on incoming calls, it only accepts SMS messages.)

Thanks.

EDIT:
The one I have is this:
7C4B7A38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA

EDIT2: Many registry editors support exporting keys. That would be super good too :)

Don't bother, I couldn't fix my other problems which I'm not sure where they were coming from, so I hard reset it..... and starting over.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Ah, right when I get the providers file exported :p

Get your phone working again and set a restore point, save some headaches down the line.
