xda II not charging ???

Im new to this site and cant find anything similar when i searchthe forums. when i plug my phone in it it comes to life but the moment i unplug it it dies again i dont have the cradle to try it just the home charger and a car charger. the green light flashes when plugged in the backup battery shows 100% but the main battery shows 0% and says ac only its like the battery isnt there??? could it be a battery fault or is it more likley to be the phone.

impossible to say for sure without trying another batt or the batt in another phone

It could be that the battery isn't seated properly. Open the back of your case and check. Make sure the connections are clean.

Also, try a soft reset, and if that doesn't work, back up everything and do a hard reset (everything except your rom will be wiped, so beware).

It could just be a buggy software problem, though unlikely.
