Screen responsiveness

Can someone tell me if there is any control over the responsiveness of the screen on the Artemis. For example is the actual speed of the reaction to selection criteria dependant upon CPU speed (or the actual electronics within the layers of the screen) or are there tweaks within the registry etc that makes the screen more responsive to touch? I just find the responsiveness of the screen rather sluggish and this is with over-clocking it to 273MHZ. I am currently using Meschle’s premium rom but don’t think this is the problem.
