Can the Tytn II drivers be ported onto the Niki?

Hey, I was wondering if the Tytn II drivers, which will be released in a few days, can be ported to our Nikis?
Also HTCClassAction (in http://www.htcclassaction.org/#update_20080509_1) states that the drivers will be released in a completely new wm6.1 (official) package.
If the drivers of other devices with the msm7*00 chip will be released is uncertain.

Driver Porting ... it possible! I its released, some rom cooker will very fast released a working version!

Yes, I'm very positive it can be done.

The only thing I'm worried about if the TyTN II "drivers" will indeed be drivers.. or IF it will really be provided.

this is sounding quite exciting. i wish that i had the knowledge and the brain to be able to help out with the driver porting. were there actually updated drivers released with the kasier rom or was it just tweaks to the software?:confused:

The drivers are "expected" to arrive in the following weeks. The "drivers" does not exist yet.

Now I don't know much about this. But doesn't the Tytn II have the Qualcomm7200 400mhz processor too? Surely you can port it if the processors are the same? Please say yes?

We actually have the MSM7200B chipset but its not really known what the differences (if any) are between the two!

New Kaiser ROM with improved (but not yet perfect if I've well understood htcclassaction...) graphic drivers...

The Niki is becoming a really interesting device... Just waiting for good hackers to port the drivers on it (I'm not good enough to do it myself :p).

In fact if we only need to replaces files and registry values, then G'reloc them I may try... (I don't think my Niki would be bricked since drivers are only part of the OS, and I might be able to reflash it entering the bootloader...)

Driver of kaiser 19212 can't port for niki.I tried 2 week ago.Not luck.
ddi.dll kaiser not working in niki.It get Stuck device of Bootloader.
Other driver, can port but working bad.
We still need wait htc support niki device.Sorry for bad news for all :(

Yeah I just tried the ddi.dll with disptools.dll too. Didn't boot. So, we have to wait for HTC to never release their driver for us?

I also tried to port DDI.dll from Kaiser, in my case to Polaris. I'm also stuck at bootloader.

I'm sure this file is what we need (for Niki AND Polaris). And we need to hack it.

Looks like it's not as simple as just replacing the files. I hope someone could hex edit it or something to make it work. :(

The s600 rom has nothing more than the touch.dll I think. I don't know. I did run benchmarks on the original rom though - yes it's in chinese or something - and nothing showed.

I've been trying a fusion of the Dutch Kaiser 2d drivers, cause there was some new acceleration in them. I can't get it to boot. I want DDI.DLL to run. So I found out it imports a whole other bunch of DLLs. So I grabbed them too. There's so many that every build I forget to include one or something.

But it's not working. Won't get past the 2nd splash screen ... but I didn't g'reloc. Hmmm *ponders*.
