It should not be a problem. Do not worry to much about it.

Dude it stops charging when the light goes green man on the top. It goes from orange to green (greening meaning that its charged). You can also verify if you look under the topbar with the batter (once the phone is charged the battery turns regular but when the phone is charging there is a USB cord like icon next to the batter or going around the batter, once the phone is charged this icon leaves just showing the battery by itself.

Humm, never get tired of hearing this. Todays Li On batteries cant be "over charged". They are microchip controlled. They cant be damaged due to "undercharging" either, thanks to that wonderful microchip thats installed.
No doubt some CSR (customer support rep) told this person that his battery was damaged due to "over charging" (a standard reply by CSR when they dont understand why a battery wont hold a charge is "it was either overcharged or undercharged to many times").

Dude - read more about Li-on :).
There is no way to overcharge it :).
The battery life is no so long - 8-12 mounths anyway.

my battery started giving me problems not long ago, just got my 2200mah battery in today to replace it. i had to keep it on house or car charger the entire time else it would power off randomly (usually within 2 minutes idle, less if touching keys)
battery was replacement with replacement dash, stupidly kept the replacement battery instead of my less than a month old one.
as for "overcharging" my dash stayed on the charger that came with the phone, for a week straight (vacation time and lots of video games) and then stopped working, i know lion arent to overcharge, but alot of people have this same issue . chalk it up to a bad battery or well use battery at the end of its rope. :)

I've seen quite a few forum references to problems that stemmed from poorly manufactured replacement batteries.

No matter how much you take care of it the battery will last for a maximum of 1800 charges or so. As a lithium battery that means it increases life by 3x over nicad batteries. I have a dash and know 3 other dash owners and not one overcharges. My friend and I had to change our batteries but due to its life cycle and the battery dying a few times. When your phone dies like that generally that means the battery cannot support the same charge capacity and is need of replacement.

These batteries are dirt cheap anyway.
I got a OEM Simplo for .99 on Ebay, plus there are tons of after market ones out there also.
I keep one in my wallet as a backup.

I know! Not to mention that a lithium ion battery is designed to be more efficient anddesigned not to overcharged when full.
