I read skillzzz's review and noticed im not the only one with sms problems, i cant even open up the message to view it, is there an easy fix for this or is it part of the rom and cant be altered without recooking? Also, will the biggy have quickmenu, battery status, and phm?

To resolve the mms issue on biggy, I used the sys folder from v4.0.
So the mms thing should be fixed. Once I get the new sys folder working I will provide updates for the biggy.

Also, I have until Monday night for my bet with my wife.
I know a lot of you wonderful folks have donated and I thank you very much.

As of now I'm about half way there, I told her that I'm hoping to get at least 50 donations of small amounts.

I figured it would be possible since between version 3.0 and version 4.0 there were over 7,000 downloads.

She said that if I win the bet, she will be cool with me releasing roms every quater (4 times a year).

I believe he means the screen appears larger than the what fits visibly on the screen. The X to close button is gone, but i've gotten used to hitting OK to close apps.

Cube has been added in place of Ultimate launch, though I like ultimate a little better, even if it has the 'not registered' in the corners occasionally.

I know what happened now, I forgot that I auto preset battery status to over clock the device at 273 since that's what I use.

Please go to today/batterystatus and turn off over clocking or set it to what your device can handel.

I've been using this battery oem package for awhile and forgot to change the reg hacks before cooking it for the public.

yeah, prob better to hold off until ttran gets things under control. it is getting confusing. not sure why u guys would want to mess with biggy v5.1 if its at 4.0 build level and still has some issues.

patience is a virtue... perhaps ttran can tweak his build over the weekend and release on mon. or take the weekend off and tweak it mon and tues. and throw out a version on wed.

i would rather test something that i would actually use, that has no known bugs. then you can really find out the issues and use a functional phone while your at it.

Its not the overclocking. I have used batterystatus and overclocked to 280+. Its the rom. He said he would maybe have it fixed by monday.

i can fix the overclock issue, just have to change the setting.. disable overclock, get the orig speed, then set it to what you want to set it to

v4.0 was based off of the herald rom.

v5.0 org is the same rom as the original wing rom with my personal touches to make it work better for you. I created this version so people that wanted myfav and standard stuff that came with the original rom.

The biggy has a totally different layout then v4.0.

Okay so i installed the rom with slight problems with 273mhz even tho i usally run 299mhz. I did a few resets and power cycles and now im up and running just fine.... but... but I go to settings and today and check battery status to change it and it wont show up on the today screen. Also, I dont know if it is supposed to be like this but niether the top bar or bottom bar is showing up. I dont know if this was intended to be fixed on monday by ttran or if this is an isolated problem. If you know the answer I would be more than happy to hear from you. Thanks!

I need to know what folders are in its tree and if any values for any reg edits ... If this doesnt work then it can only be fixed thru re-cooking . Then I am going to try to over lap a different program on it ......

If your phone is HARD SPL'd you can flash with the bootloader. If you haven't HARD SPL'd, i recommend that you do, as long as you follow the anti-noob instructions, you wont brick your device.

I have included the readme file that ttran001 had included in his Micro 4.0 version, follow these steps to flash from bootloader. You will also have to rename the nbh file to HERAIMG.nbh and format the sd card to FAT32.

I got rid of the scroll bar on the today screen by un-checking BatteryStatus in the list of today screen items. Also, the title bar is gone because there is a program called "Full Screen" that removes it. hope this helps someone.

This is because TTRAN has by default set the overclock to 274. If you device cant handle it then you need to switch the overclock speed or just wait untill monday when he uploads the new build.

BTW! i strongly suggest you try installing activesync again! just type "Download Activesync" in google, and download the latest version from microsoft. This resolved my issue with connecting with activesync.

Okay, I got it. I had to find a way to get into the usb settings to allow the connection... Then i when to the windows directory through my activesync connection and deleted battery status.. Ive always liked his roms, but why the hell would he put it up that high, wings dont support that high to my knowledge.

Well, processors are all different. I can use any overclock speed to 299. I run mine at 299 consistantly without any problems. I have had a wing that could run 274 but not 246. Processors are all different.

I flashed it earlier tonight and has the same problems everyone else has been having. Took off the clock and replaced it with the regular htc home clock due to the scroll bar appearing, lowered the speed to 247 which eliminated the screen flickering, and threaded sms does not seem to work, will not let me open the message. Is there any way of turning off threaded sms? Also tried the Youtube player but havent figured that out yet. I must say it is a really nice rom though. I'll be sending a donation your way once I get paid. Been a lurker since I got my wing in august and you are what has made this phone work.

I've been using it since saturday. Flashed fine....everything runs fine just the minor issues that have been stated.. today screen scroll bar, sms. It runs smooth for me other than that. I'am overclocked to 299, which most of the time i am.

Yeah. Like is said, i have the rom running quit smoothly on mine. There are a couple bugs like the sms issue and the today screen. functionality wise, its running smooth on my wing overclocked to 299

I havent tried the mms on biggy 5.2 but the sms is still malfunctioning. You cant read your new messages. you have to delete them and view them/reply from the deleted menu..

Also, how you have your today setup. I'm interested in those icons you have!

Thanks for the fast response.
This started 2 weeks after having 4.0 Biggy w/ cube, and saw it within 2 days of 5.2Biggy, and now that I've re-flashed back to 4.0 Biggy, it has happened within 1 day, and keeps re occuring.
Since the re-flash, the only cab i've installed is the videoflash bundle +tcmpmp (for youtube) and a pocket dictionary..that's pretty much it.
I don't know what It's happening, although I did see that on the website of the author of batterystatus, he mentioned that there is this "nag window" that pops up, and to not have this, one should obtain an "xda-developer" version...

ttran no one is attacking the roms, just would like the basics working before flashing. i think i speak for everyone in that aspect. we know you work hard on the roms. i would rather you take your time and release a functional rom than chase your tail trying to fix something that is pre-released. it is easier on you and all of us.

The bottom of the screen is the standard htc home so you will be able to change any of the launch items.
I had to include the htc home since it looks better than the battey status weather to me.

Plus I needed it to insure the cube works correctly.

just flash it via SD.. rename the nbh to HERAIMG.nbh and put it on a blank sd card that has been formated FAT32 and then put it in your phone and go to bootloader mode then when it shows that page that says flash via sd slide the volume down and thats it...just follow the screen.

5.x biggy does not have the same look like 4.0. I do not like the look of 5.x biggy but love 5.x org. I have all the cabs for 4.0 biggy so i just load them on 5.x org and im good to go. Its all about what you like. Try them all and see what you like.

Just testing out 5.3 Biggy. The Keypad numbers/buttons seem to be "blacked" out whenver I try to enable the keypad.

And when I slide out the keyboard, I get the scrollbar on the right...and the start menu...and when I slide it back in again...the scroll bar remains, and the Start menu is there now (where it wasn't before). Even tried the "Full Screen", and the scroll bar still remains, but the Start Menu does go away...

Haven't tested sms yet...

Theres a program called fullscreen but does not always make the scroll bar go away.

MMS works slightly .. You cant respond to messages unless you delete them then respond to it from the delete folder....
