Can't install .cab?

I just bought my new AT&T Tilt today, but when I try to download a .cab from the Internet on my Tilt, I can save it, but when I try to load it, it says that the file is either corrupted, damaged, or incomplete. The same thing happens when I try to open .zip's. Any solutions?

are you sure it is not a .rar containing the .cab inside?

maybe its not a valid cab/zip than. i have a tilt and never had problem installing one.

what cab r u trying to install?

anything, like HTC Home Plugin and Kaisertweaks
