I recently flashed a different rom to my tilt. I tried Laurentius26_V4 and liked it and started to surf the web with the new to me opera 9.5 beta. What I discovered is that in this rom (and maybe many others) it set the data settings to use isp.cingular instead of wap.cingular.
So what, well since I am signed up for the 15.00 dollar unlimited MediaNet plan for regular phones I must use wap.cingular. If I use isp.cingular I am charged the going rate of .01c per kb. Isp.cingular is for customers signed up for the PDA data plans (which of course I should be, but am not)
So if you are an AT&T customer, and you are using the 15.00 unlimited MediaNet on your PDA phone, make sure MediaNet is set to wap.cingular and not isp.cingular or you will be charged the normal pay-per-use fees.
