Works great on Tmobile Wing, except u cant really change settings on the querty keyboard i click settings and nothing happens, besides that, the threaded txting opens a bit slower now but only with querty ver.

in my HTC 3600 after all cab installed I turn on the portuguese T9 and the Keypad desapears :confused:

all the others keyboards work but keypad the grafics become strange and if you turn off the T9 the backsapce button becomes the space...

Hi, I think there is bug in czech language.

When I switch to czech no keybard is displayed, but everything else is working. I can types letter, but can't see keyboard.

I made some investigating. In registry HKLM/Software/Tegic/eT9/Sip/Bitmaps/0b05/Portrait there is link to files "P20map*.png" but files are "P20-map*.png". When I change it, everything is working fine.

First of all I like to thank P1Tater for providing the first cab that I have based this whole thing on.

originaly there were only english and italian working for the keyboards.

unfurtunaly not everything is working yet

Touch Diamond keyboard all are working with xt9
Touch Diamond keypad only english and italian are working
Touch Diamond qwerty eng & ita are working with xt9 the others are working but no xt9

if you have the PLlsUN_xt9.ldb try yo rename it to ENlbUN_xt9s.ldb and place it in windows folder.... not shure it it works but maybe... if it works it should work with english layouts.

for thoses with uninstal problems I don't know why it's probable the rom you are using that is not securety disabled, dont' know. I have no probs.

for not working kaypad in english or italian... don't know works for me..

and other languages the kaypad might work to type but the layout would be all wrong and this is explained in one of the first posts.

Can the "pressed key" image be moved? When I press a key with my finger, the enlarged image of what key is currently being pressed is hidden under my finger, so I can't really tell if the correct key is being pressed. I checked the options, but there wasn't one for that.

yes it can be but need to edit the down image files for it to work but it can't be done with qwerty this way because it's not image based.

Installed it on my HTC Touch Dual - Dutch cab added, all is working well except for the figures at keypress (already mentioned in this thread) and the slide-out keyboard does not type characters, only numbers - it also does not react on the XT9 button so i think this is a slight glitch so far.

Indeed to uninstall you have to be patience. On my elf about 20 min. Just uninstal don't touch your difice for about 20 min and it wil be uninstelled

I've made some progress with the qwerty keyboard now xt9 works with more languages thanks to some files I got from anja31 I will probable leave out the keypad in next version and just try to get keyboard and qwerty to work first because of many missing images for the keypad.
or if you can live with the kaypad only having one layout then it's working with only english layout for all languages.

now xt9 is working for eng ita fra ger esn in qwerty
for the other languages it is sugesting but somehow the keys are maped wrong when xt9 is used

it seems highly difficult. i can see more than 120 files had been added to windows directory, deleting them maybe quite easy. but there are more than 1500 registry entries added or changed, how can you delete or back them to initial state? if deleting the several number of main registry keys is harmless it can be done but i didn't dig out or examine what they are.

The spd.Pqwerty.English.kdb and spd.Pqwerty.Italian.kdb are different from the others. As both English and Italian work and the other languages don't, I looked into the differences is these two files.

The differences are in adresses 26, 27 and 2C. Lets take a closer look at these adresses in English, Italian and let's say Dutch (;)).

DUT D7 D0 13

You see the 2C resambles the country code (09 for English, 10 for Italian and 13 for Dutch).
I didn't find any logic in 26 and 27, but that doesn't matter. This is what I tried: I opened spd.Pqwerty.English.kdb and replaced the adresses 26, 27 and 2C with the Dutch values D7 D0 and 13, and saved it as spd.Pqwerty.Dutch.kdb. I copied it to my device, did a soft reboot, tried the portrait qwerty in Dutch T9, and it worked :D

This is really nicely done. I'm running Swedish and it only works properly in Keypad and Keyboard mode. Qwerty doesn't show the ÅÄÖ.

i have German HTC Kaiser with original ROM. The diamond cab works just fine but unfortunately my "hard keyboard" does not allowed me to type umlaut e.g ä. ö ü

Previously i just have to press FN than space to write umlaut.

Dutch version works perfectly except for qwerty keyboard xt9 in landscape mode. In portrait everything works. I don't care too much for it so it's no big deal. The keyboard and keypad work very well. It's my favourite SIP right now. The only small thing I don't really like apart from the small xt9 issue are the special character keys. In English as well as in Dutch there is no need for ø, å and stuff like that. It's no big issue but it's a bit distracting.

I'm running it on a Touch with Shadow 2.1 rom by the way.

It is working for danish too I took a look at my girlfriends Dual and saw that her kaypad had the same layout as engelsk and she has a danish version of Touch Dual .

så faktis fungerer diamond fuldt ut med xt9 for alle 3 tastaturene i Portrate

so actualy Diamond is working fully for the 3 keybords in all languages in portrate except from Arab Greek and Russian.

this can be changed for keybord and keypad by editing the image that have mask in there name.... but the qwerty needs some hex editing I would guess but it should be posible but I don't know how.

I don't think so that WM 5 is the culprit, as I am using wm6 and this keyboard doesnot work but the number pads. Letter does not work, uninstall does not work. HAD TO HARD RESET !!!

I install onto Cingular 8125, it work fine. Qwerty touch smoothly and I don't mistake any key when I type a long text. But this morning, my phone slowdown when I turn on HTC D keyboard. I'm typing memo, I received SMS the same time, My phone hang on about 2 minutes. Untill to everything 'OK, I deceided to remove it, but my phone hang on cont. I waiting 15min, my phone still stop working. So boring, I did soft reset and remove again. I take my phone on to the box . this afternoon I get it and turn on. My God, everything ' OK

I don't think so that WM 5 is the culprit, as I am using wm6 and this keyboard doesnot work but the number pads. Letter does not work, uninstall does not work. HAD TO HARD RESET !!!

What I ment is that maybe it's not compatable with WM5 and it can maybe conflict with other keyboards.... I looks to me to work best when cooked into the rom or if there is no other touch keyboard installed.

You have probable only installed the Norsk Diamond kays.cab og ikki gullum diamond keys.cab

you need the gullum diamond for the regs that willl give you the option to choose between all 16 languages

It is working for danish too I took a look at my girlfriends Dual and saw that her kaypad had the same layout as engelsk and she has a danish version of Touch Dual .

you can try to rename the NLlsUN_xt9.ldb to FRlsUN_xt9s.ldb then the keyboard should think that it's frensh language

into "010C"="0913" or maybe "0113"="090C". Don't know, but the name LanguageKeyboardIDMapping sounds like it maps the language to a keyboard:rolleyes:

Is anyone actually using this app?
It's working fine on my Trinity, but it's completely useless.
The whole point of such keyboard is to be usable with fingers (tumbs), but since the magnified letter is showing under my finger I don't know what letter is actually pressed - usseles.
Maybe it wouldn't hurt if someone at HTC would try and use keyboard on iPhone or at least PCM Keyboard, where selected letter shows above...

In English as well as in Dutch there is no need for ø, å and stuff like that. It's no big issue but it's a bit distracting.

But for me a Norwegian guy, is happy to have theese letters...:)

I have found a way to make øæåð to be asigned to long press in qwerty but I need to find the right values for them.

I know that æ is 0153 now I need to find the other letters äöü can also be used but then I'll need to overwrite dome of the other longpress symbols.

and pinobigbird it looks like all the qwerty language files are having layout problems.. my guess it that they are still vga files because qw type qq and er type ww every 2 after that type the same so insted of qwertyuiop we get qqwweerrtt and nest lin does the same because on vga it would fit 2 lines of qvga display

here is what you can do opent the PQwerty0d0c.txt and PQwerty0d13.txt

then copy everything from PQwerty0d0c.txt and overwrtie the text in PQwerty0d13.txt copy PQwerty0d13.txt to windows folder now the qwerty for dutch is azerty :D

Gullum is correct. I un-installed PCM keyboard and install HTC Diamond, and it's working now. I think compatibility with other keyboards (PCM in my case) is the culprit.

Yes, I understand that and it's good that they are there but I saw a screenshot of a German keyboard and it didn't have them. I did have a ß though so I was wondering why English and Dutch have characters they don't use but German doesn't. Maybe somebody here changed that, which would explain it.

I still have a problem with the Diamond Keyboard. I changed it already into azerty look but i still got qwerty letters when typing a word. The dictionary is the dutch one but it is working like qwerty with azerty layout. Any sugestions?

Put the phone on power, make sure it dont go on black scren (use settings) and go and click remove and wait for it to be done, my uninstall took about 3 hours :eek:

It works with spanish prediction... but only sometimes. You need to soft reset your device, and it works...but only for a brief time. And sometimes, the keyboard not works if you not change to diamond qwerty, and then to the others keyboard.

Previously i just have to press FN than space to write umlaut.

You cant install systemfiles on your Storage Card (not without al lot of modification anyway) The keyboard is not a common app, but a part of the operating system, it has to be in the windowsfolder.

PS. I agree on the advice NOT to type in such a childish way.

I got mine to work with Danish. Flashed again, since I couldn't get it to uninstall. All I did was first to install "gullum diamond keys.cab", reboot and then copy all the files from "gullums_keys_OEM" to "Device\Windows" and overwrite all the files that it could. Works like a charm.

One question though:
On the older keypads, I could just press "." (dot) three times and it would make the smilies, but this doesn't and it's quite annoying me. Anyone know a solution?

The original is (should be) VGA, the beauty of this port is that it is made suitable for qVGA. But, I haven't seen the original VGA version posted....

As a temporary measure to get the keyboard working on VGA, I resized the images and created two cabs to overlay these images in your /windows directory (It assumes you installed it there, the default directory). Not the best solution, but it will do until the official VGA version shows up.

those pics aren't true VGA. They are just upconverted from QVGA. I suggest to take real VGA pics from Diamond XT9 and then change letters to Russian.

Testing gullum Diamond keyboard English on Elfin with kokotas Clean Rom Black Edition... Working well (now that I installed the English Keys.cab :o). Not able to uninstall it though, runs for an hour or 2, then tells me that it has been partially removed, do I want to remove it from the "Remove Programs" list.

The only other thing I see is with the Touch Diamod Keyboard, when I press a key, the image that comes up is pixellated (seems to be low resolution). Diamond qwerty is fine in both landscape and portrait. I don't use the Keypad, so I can't comment on that.

Also, I've noticed some people complaining about auto-complete of addresses in SMS not working, it works fine for me on both qwerty and keyboard.

All in all, the best keyboard I've tried so far for my Elfin!

SK Tools is the answer! I've installed SK Tools and uninstalled the HTC Diamond KB with the internal utility of SK Tools and it has worked.

My two cents about the beautiful Diamond keys on an o2 XDA Trion / HTC TyTN, German OEM WM6 ROM:

1) Conflict with HTC PhonePad (Diamond will not show, only default keyboard instead):
Solved by uninstalling PhonePad. Yay.

2) Diamond QWERTY:
- in Portrait mode: Shows empty keys only, types boxes only. Booo.
- in Landscape mode: Shows proper keys, types nothing. Booo.

3) Diamond Keyboard and Diamond Keypad:
- in Portrait mode: Working beautifully. Yay.
- in Landscape mode: Doesn't show at all, only garbled display. Booo.

4) Slide-out keyboard (HTC TyTN):
Confirm: Special characters (ä, ö, ü ...) don't work anymore. Booo.

I'll probably keep it (*) as I was most interested in the Keypad in Portrait mode anyway and don't use the slide-out kb very often AND uninstall seems to be quite an issue.
(*) till next hard reset, anyway.

those pics aren't true VGA. They are just upconverted from QVGA. I suggest to take real VGA pics from Diamond XT9 and then change letters to Russian.

I'll try to patch KDB files for Russian as will get more free time.

Just wanted to mention that it can somethimes become unstable, specially if you swap keyboards often. I get the blank keyboard and some times it even stopped working. Didnt find any solution and need soft reset for fix. Just mention it.. I am on rom: Dutty's WM6.1 Hybrid Non-Cube Version

You have to disable xt9 to use blue dot + space. Install the attachment

it is like the dual keuboard but it's also got qwerty keyboard and the keypad is maped differant the the dual one... so it's new ... only the keyboard is the same layout as the dual.

On my Kaiser (tytn II with WM6.1) I can get all Diamond keyboards working wenn t9 is enabled but then the sildeout hardware keyboard does not work properly. fn + space -> umlaute (äüö) is not working. When I disable t9 with dutty's cab, the hardware keyboard becomes fully functional but the diamond keyboards dont work (only numbers if I press the buttons) this also works vice versa by uninstalling the cab again

but has ANYONE actually managed to change the font on the QWERTY?
My keyboard work perfectly, no glitches, no issues.
but i can barely read my QWERTY keys. I like 'em bold and proud!

The registry key that gullum found a while back refers to a specific font that I guess the Diamond has, and isn't readily available. Every change i've tried has simply failed.
Any ideas?
I'm willing to keep trying, but this is obviously NOT my forte...

I just tried your keyboard (incl. german cab) on my Artemis (WM 6.1).
However, it is not working for me:

* As you mentioned in the first post, I can only type numbers in keypad and the other layout (sry. forgott how it is called)

* The qwerty is all blank, I can see the keys, but there are no letters /numbers on it, I randomly pressed some keys and it typed numbers and capital letters, but I don't know if it were the ones that should show of with the keys I pressed.

Except for your keyboard I only have the PCMKeyboard installed, I don't know if it interferes with yours.

If you need help in debugging/testing on Artemis just contact me.

Reinstall it, the Touch Diamond Keyboard appears and still have numbers only but no letters.

I'd just like to thank the guys that put together this keyboard for us. It is working brilliantly on my Trinity. I had Pocket PCM keyboard 1.4 installed before installing the Gullum Diamon Keys and when I uninstalled the Pocket keyboard it broke the Diamond Keyboard. I just uninstalled the Gullum keyboard and English language cab, reset, then reinstalled. Now it is working great. For those that are having trouble uninstalling, I suggest that you do a soft reset before uninstalling, making sure that the standard keyboard is running as the default.

Same here, only numbers as output on my Wizard with tnt latest wm 6.1 rom.

Great work gullum! works perfect in my Cruise! sometimes in some rom i flashed there is a little problem, when u are in options you cant see all the languages there are blank white, but i found out that even when you dont see your language there, that is not missing afterall. I use finnish language offcourse and when its seems that the installation hasnt got right, because i didnt seen finnish I test to take a blanc spot on the list, it was after swedish language was a blanco and i pickit and that was the finnish language! So even when it seems that the installation fails, try the blanc white between the languages you see, test to write and you find it. Now I have the perfect keyboard:) THX

The ezinput.dll that I have is suporting 21 languages but I only have all files for 12 of these and partly have files for 4 other but I will add the needed regs for all 21 in the cab I'll upload so prople can add the files if or when they find them in their language

When reporting back pleace report what device you have... what Windoms version and if you have the dual keybords installed

Lots of reports have been made that it only types numbers not letter but because no one has reported what device they have or version of windows you just have to try it to see if it works.

I have a Kaiser and also a Prophet and everything is working.
So if you have one of these devices and are having problems then say what rom and if you have the Dual keyboard inside.... I suspect the dual keyboard to conflict with the Diamond because some regs will be left over from the dual keyboard when instaling this one.

First of all I like to thank P1Tater for providing the first cab that I have based this whole thing on.

I have added support for Arab, Greek, Russian
Russian and Greek only have the keybord fully working keypad can type but wrong layout and english letters qwerty mot working
Arab is only supported in regs havnt found the needed files yet.

originaly there were only english and italian working for the keyboards.

unfurtunaly not everything is working yet

Touch Diamond keyboard all are working with xt9 except for Arab need more files
Touch Diamond keypad all are working with xt9 except for RUS ARB and GRK need more files
Touch Diamond qwerty Thanks to pinobigbird discovery qwerty is now working with all languages in portraid mode except RUS ARB and GRK.. still no go for landscape.... but most that would type in landscape mode have a hardware keyboard

Great job, installed and mostly working on a Touch Dual. Feels and looks much better than the original! The issues I'm seeing at the moment are:

Numbers only (using kepyad) in one or two apps, but not all. Notes gives numbers only, Word is fine, IE is fine.
Keypad doesn't work at all in Opera (8.65 mobile) - Qwerty keyboard is fine.

great work on the keyboard... only problem is that after you install this, you cant get the word suggest or contact suggest to work when writing sms, email, or any documents unless you use the diamond keyboard/phone pad, not by using the slide out keyboard...
thats the only drawback on this app... if theres a fix for it or a way to turn on the suggestion and get it working let me know.

so i was able to uninstall it, but now I lost the the ability to type words from the front facing number pad(can only put in numbers) on my samsung(think vox or wings with a touch screen) when the keyboard isnt slid out. I also lost the ability to use the defualt WM word completion. The number pad thing isn't an option so what can I do. Any ideas?
