After reading what seems like random success rates and a series of reasonably large issues should I bother going through potential SP1 hell, or should I just enjoy it as is?
I have these horendous memories of XP SP2...
i did it and it sure did get more unstable, and got the connect/disconnect problem of 3g. i got no performance gain.
my recommendation : wait

I agree. It lasted one day on my Shift before I removed it. I've had no problems since.

Hi, thaihugo, can you please advise how you fixed the RDNIS issue? I upgraded SP1 and it is flawless, perfect. But I did it from a totally fresh re-image without any software updates.
I cant seem to keep the 3G connection in Vista Active AND USB connect to WM6 at the same time. I would like to have sync anytime I boot windows and also have 3G access both on the WM6 and Vista.
Any help would be muchly appreciated!

Thanks all - I'm going to avoid it for now...no reason to install it. I have patched all the M-$oft KB updates and nothing has crashed and burned on me yet. In fact I've had nil issues to speak of having Liberated the WinMo and fiddled with the services in Vista to improve performance....I'm a very happy Shift user.
cmonex, Budapest is a great place. Went there quite a while ago, maybe '94, '95...things prolly changed a lot since then, but I had the best time...friendly people, beautiful surrounding country side. It helped that I was travelling on the company credit card too :) - stayed at the Kempinsky (?) Hotel in Pest...very posh.....
