Fix follow bugs:

c.Add a default picture when the Condition had not defined

1.Support weather Icon on WM6.1 CHome, Normal theme(SmartPhone 2003,05,06 PPC 03/05/06);

How to use?

1.Install
If you use old version, please start Mini Weather->Setting->Clean Notify->Yes->Exit,and delete the Mini Weather folder. Then setup Mini Weather 1.4 English.CAB to you phone.


2.How to use?
a.Start Mini Weather,go to Setting->Normal setting, select your connect,Src(you can add a data src, and named as MiniConfigX.ini(X can be 1 to 8),City(you can add your city by modify miniconfigX.ini), Save and try "Update to home", if return right info, check if it show on the home. if return error info, please check you network setting or you data source.if succeed, to update to CHome, it will change to a invalid theme, then it will change to last theme.
b.Automatic Update. Go to Setting->Advanced Setting, select the time you want to update, such as 07:30, then add, you can add 12 update times, Save and exit, you needn't keep it run in background,it will update on time. if you select DateChan and add a time(such as 00:01), Mini Weather will change the second day's weather to today, but no connect to network to update. you can also set a eary update time(such as 06:15), it also update weather on Home
c.About some options
(1)When you select Normal theme show as icon or PPC show as icon:
t1,t2,t3,mean item of the line 1,2,3 to show
x1,y1: First icon's position, x2,y2: Second icon's position
R,G,B: Text Color Size: Text font size
Zoom1,Zoom2: First,Second icon size, between 16 to 40
if you want to use you theme，please change you backgroud to "\new.bmp", SPO3 is "\storage\new.bmp"

(2)When you select SlidingPanel:
t1,t2,mean item of the line 1,2 to show when you select the weather panel
t3,Item to show when you unselect the weather panel


3.Uninstall
Go to Setting->Main display->select your theme->Save, start Mini Weather->Setting->Clean Notify->Yes->Exit, and delete the Mini Weather folder.


4.Advanced application
a.Update after synchronization
If you use this funtion, Mini Weather will update after you phone synch with PC, it will use PC's network. Attention, please may sure you want to use this funtion. If you delete or move this software, may be it well have a Notify Error when your phone synchron,Smartphone 2003 may not have tools to clear.

b.How to modify the ini file? How to add another webpage data?
Please read "data source.txt"

c.Add/Modify Icon
Icon define in Iconcfg.ini, you can modify it to add other icon. Now it doesn't full, because my english is so poor, and i don't know the all weather string. I hope some one add more string to it, and share.

I got it to work, me stupid.

1. I forgot to put %20 for spaces on the ini.
2. I had to add back the plugin order back on the sliding panel.cpr file (organics doesn't use that). For some reason this one needs it.
3. I am creating a cab file, it should be done tonight, just need to verify the updates, need to add in the reg settings for the CWeather, and the Sliding Panel, everything else looks great.

This is a major improvement over the last one. I do miss Wind Speed/Humidity, but I might play with the Ini file to see if that would work.

Also it gives more then one page worth of info, with icons on all the pages.

After fiddling with the ini files and understanding it better, I find this apps suites my requirement perfectly. Its light weight and user configureable to choose which weather report provider. Update times are also very flexible.

So MiniWeather stays on my device.

A few issues:

1- >more>setting>normal setting>Theme selected: SlidingPanel
item "Enable weather ba..." incomplete. Maybe you can make the display longer.
2- Weather data displays without spaces;eg
Wind:Eat4mph MostlyCloudy27
when it should display as:
Wind: E at 4 mph Mostly Cloudy 27
3- The date (when not in collapsed mode) displays as:
6/1/2008 or Today 6/3/2008
Can you put the "day" instead; eg:
Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun
I think easier to understand and will solve the date/day display issue.
For the "Currently 00:15" is ok, good.
4- In registry CWeather>Page1 I want to change the SK2URL to a link to :MSPIE;http://www.hamweather.mobi/index.php?forecast=pass&pass=loccurrents&config=&pands=wmkk&submit=GO&sc=pands.
This links me to HAMweather, but after every auto weather update by Mini Weather, this is changed back to original. Any chance to make sure Mini Weather dont change this?

You have to set the "new.bmp" from the root (device or storage card) as today-background. This works.

But if the "new.bmp" is updated, the old image is shown at today and there is no backgroundimage-update :confused:

On my xda neo (WM5) the new.bmp is at the root. The installation was on the device.
When I update the weatherdata, the bmp is updated too.

I can see it with total commander and when i open it with the picture-viewer i can set it as today-background.

The bmp-file is updating at the weather update. All backgrounds at the mini_weather-folder as jpg! But the background-image makes no update :mad:

I prefer http://www.weatherpanel.net with animated icons :cool:

I saw that if you change the language URL in MiniConfigx.ini, the app goes and reads weather settings accordingly.
Say, for example, you change from en to it, i.e. from

URL=http://www.google.com/ig/api?hl=en&weather=
to
URL=http://www.google.com/ig/api?hl=it&weather=

this two diferent urls point to two xml file in different languages and regional setting: for example, for Italy you will have temperatures in Celsius rather than Farheneit.
One problem is that (I think) the program can read condition data string only in english, so is able to return the appropriate background and icons only if it points to the url in en language; maybe it could be possible for the developer to read and decode the icon data string, which it seems to remain the same for each language.
Another thing to fix is the lack of spaces when reading condition data string: Chance of Rain from google become ChanceofRain in MiniWeather.

I'll stay tuned for further development, and looking forward the language issue; very good and nice job!

For the language issue, I found that one must edit the IconCfg.ini accordingly to google strings: so it is possible to have this app working in every language supported by google, with a little effort.

My personal wishlist for future versions:
- bugfix: for the problem of missing spaces when reading strings from google xml
- somethimes it happens that no string is present in google xml for current conditions; in this case, at present the app creates a strange background, mixing things up. It would be nice if it could translate a null string with a N/A background/icon (say: na.jpg and na.bmp)
- create a new schedule type, to update x minute after phone power on
- identify the time of the day, to be able to use different background/icons (you know, moon instead of sun...)

It seems to me that the limit of 12 schedules you mention in the readme is too high: for two times, after having set 12 schedules, I had this problem.
Now I've set 10 schedules and it seem to be fine.

It's in the Advanced Options, where you define schedules.
To me, every time miniweather reads google xml it also updates my background.

I found it: need to add &cc=* to the URL: variable URLAdd1 should become

<CITY CODE>?cc=*&dayf=4&ut=c

No, the ini settings are right that way: you can check putting the string http://www.google.com/ig/api?hl=fr&weather=nantes in your browser.
Check the connection specified in the normal settings page (it's the first voice, Connect); maybe there's something wrong there, so Miniweather can't really connect to the internet.

How to use?

1.Install
If you use old version, please start Mini Weather->Setting->Clean Notify->Yes->Exit,and delete the Mini Weather folder. Then setup Mini Weather 1.4 English.CAB to you phone.


2.How to use?
a.Start Mini Weather,go to Setting->Normal setting, select your connect,Src(you can add a data src, and named as MiniConfigX.ini(X can be 1 to 8),City(you can add your city by modify miniconfigX.ini), Save and try "Update to home", if return right info, check if it show on the home. if return error info, please check you network setting or you data source.if succeed, to update to CHome, it will change to a invalid theme, then it will change to last theme.
b.Automatic Update. Go to Setting->Advanced Setting, select the time you want to update, such as 07:30, then add, you can add 12 update times, Save and exit, you needn't keep it run in background,it will update on time. if you select DateChan and add a time(such as 00:01), Mini Weather will change the second day's weather to today, but no connect to network to update. you can also set a eary update time(such as 06:15), it also update weather on Home
c.About some options
(1)When you select Normal theme show as icon or PPC show as icon:
t1,t2,t3,mean item of the line 1,2,3 to show
x1,y1: First icon's position, x2,y2: Second icon's position
R,G,B: Text Color Size: Text font size
Zoom1,Zoom2: First,Second icon size, between 16 to 40
if you want to use you theme,please change you backgroud to "\new.bmp", SPO3 is "\storage\new.bmp"

(2)When you select SlidingPanel:
t1,t2,mean item of the line 1,2 to show when you select the weather panel
t3,Item to show when you unselect the weather panel


3.Uninstall
Go to Setting->Main display->select your theme->Save, start Mini Weather->Setting->Clean Notify->Yes->Exit, and delete the Mini Weather folder.


4.Advanced application
a.Update after synchronization
If you use this funtion, Mini Weather will update after you phone synch with PC, it will use PC's network. Attention, please may sure you want to use this funtion. If you delete or move this software, may be it well have a Notify Error when your phone synchron,Smartphone 2003 may not have tools to clear.

b.How to modify the ini file? How to add another webpage data?
Please read "data source.txt"

c.Add/Modify Icon
Icon define in Iconcfg.ini, you can modify it to add other icon. Now it doesn't full, because my english is so poor, and i don't know the all weather string. I hope some one add more string to it, and share.
here is the iconcfg.ini, i exp something:

Sorry my ignorance, once I have the .cab on my O2 Exec, do I have to modify the registry to get it work? or I just can install it and all will work, sorry but I´m not undersantding well how to use it and looks amazing!

Hi loe84, not sure if you're still reading this since it's been a long time you didn't reply :D

Anyway, I just installed that (I've been thinking about this since ages !) but it doesn't display the background correctly, only the start menu is changed, and I can't find any new.bmp file on my device.

Please see attached screenshot, can you help me ? :)

I've got it installed, set my city, set the background to new.bmp from / but the background continuously stays on the waterfall background. What am i doing wrong?
Nevermind, got it fixed after hard reset due to other stuff.

I have the same issue, no icon, no temp, no custom background, just the waterfall :D

I have a HTC Diamond with WM6.1 and I can't get anything to show on the today screen -> I thought this was a today plug-in? I've ditched Touchflo3d and I've tried everything to make it appear.

Do I need another app for this to appear on the today screen?
