Install and Setup:

Install the latest Version of BatteryStatus from the websites below.
Install the BS Theme Mobile7 cab (choose the one that match your language).
For further instructions how to activate themes and today plugins in battery status you look on the websites below

To activate the Fullscreen View you must tap on the Signal Button on top left.
Deactivate UltimateLaunch on Today and activate in Battery Status (see Picture below)
To activate the backgrounds for UltimateLaunch you find them in your "My Documents" folder.

How do you set a PNG as a background? The Today app only seems to support .JPG etc. And I see not "Set to X% transparency" option.

I converted Wallpaper-Mobile7.png to a JPG and it allowed me to set it as background, but I see no transparency option.

The SMS icon is set to launch pocketCM when clicked.

Also, having the clock and/or date launch calendar when clicked would be nice.

I would probably get rid of the operator name, shuffle everything up and make the message counters 32x32 instead of 32x16 (For finger friendliness). I start my explorer and make a doubleclick on the wallpaper and than you can set it as today screen and set the transparency.
I set the SMS Button to PCM cause i use it, you can change it to any other software you want. You can althoug use the MMS Button to go to the standard messaging program.

This is my first attempt for such a thing, and errors are normally, but i learn and the updates will fix these erorrs.

The BS Theme is not already in final. If you can mod this files, please post it here.
And the landscape modes are currently in work.

before you release a theme you might want to make sure you get permission to use people's graphics, that clock is obviously modified from one made my asefsef, just making sure credit is given where it is due.

I think that your skin is very good and nice and useable! And step-by-step better-and-better but I have VGA device unfortunately.. I tried the first version of your skin but not worked good in my Eten x800...

If your theme would working in VGA than this would be the best VGA skin at now, but nobody constructing for VGA...

Great work! I did have a little difficulty at first though.

The battery status button graphic "battery_.png" was not showing. I tracked that down to a spelling error in the .xml file. I think the "n" was missing.

Once that was fixed, the button graphic showed up but the right half of it was black/cut off and the battery percentage, which was fine before, was also cut off.

I changed the type from "iconbattery" to "iconvalue" and now it works fine. Although there is no picture of a battery beside the % as in your screen shot. I really don't know what the different types mean but now it is consistent with the other items in that row.

The .xml file references "Windows\BatteryStatus\Mobile7\smarttools\Sound.lnk" for the sound toggle button but the actual file there is Sound.exe. Either creating a link or changing the .xml to "Sound.exe" fixes that.

The Tasklist.exe doesn't seem to do anything. Should I see something? I'm running this on a Kaiser.

The date display is not wide enough for some dates. Yesterday was "Wednesday 21 May 2008" and was slightly cut off on both the left and right sides.

The mobile operator display is not quite in the centre.

A graphic on the missed call, sms, etc. buttons would help identify what each button was for.

The sound, bluetooth and wifi toggle buttons are a bit too small for me.

I also use them far more frequently than the missed call, sms, etc. buttons. Maybe we could place the toggle buttons on a row of their own and place the other buttons around the time and date display area.

Of course I realise that the way you have set this up probably reflects your own way of using your phone. I wonder what options we have to accomodate this request. I guess it boils down to three:

1. Tell me to sod off and make my own. But since I have no idea what I'm doing I'd rather you didn't. :-)

2. Make a new skin. That would make it harder for you to maintain.

3. Is it possible to have the two variants in the one skin and choose which you want by choosing the appropriate rows?

Looking back on this I realise that I've said rather a lot. But I really am impressed with this skin. The above are all really quite minor and will no doubt be ironed out as the skin is refined. Thanks for the great work. It really is a fine looking skin.

You must activate the tasklist in the BS Options or load my config file.

I would also correct this. I forgot the lengh of the day names in other languages :-)

When I install the BS THEME MOBILE 7 German Cab, I get the Info
"Installation fehlgeschlagen" in english: Installation failed.
Do I need something else before I install this CAB?
I have the newest BS Version and Mortscript installed.

I'm using your BS theme for a week and this is very good, I love it. Working on my VGA device (eten x800) perfectly! Only one little comment: the theme icons (SMS, MMS etc.) would be nicer in VGA..
I don't use PocketCM and I made that after pressing sms icon starting the normal windows messaging sms section.
Mobile7 BS theme decrease 1,5 MB ram in my device, could you cut down this memory consuming yet?

First I dont have an VGA Device so I dont know if it works perfectly.
The memory consuming is a problem but I think it is a general problem of batterystatus. My grafixs are very small but I try to get them better.

I have Eten x800 VGA PDA and I have only 30,5MB after hard reset :( But I like iGO8 and thats why I need minimum 27-28MB free RAM. I installed my favorite programs and your BS theme and after a soft reset I have 28,5Mb free RAM. That's enough for iGO8.

I made some modifications. These transparent VGA sized icons are better looking for me. And I made a favorites speeddial icon instead of MSN icon. The Favorites and Missed calls icons launch Inesoft Adress Book 3 SpeedDial and CallHistory tabs.
At now, this theme is perfect for me!

You must set "Show more Indicators" in BatteryStatus.
Tap on the Battery Icon than options. On the second Tab "Indicator" activate Show more Indicators.

The Theme is OK. Have you Mortscript installed? Have you disabled the signed verification from wm?

I want a finger-friendly solution to the backlight level setting, because I hate the most today plugin's slider. I only want two backlight level to use (tipically for indoor and outdoor situation) Could you help me what I could write in the mobile7*.xml for the backlight level change?

I think the issue is some people want to see the htc weather icons in lower right hand corner and also see large icons. If htc weather icons are in windows you may choose htc in s2u2 settiings, if you want to see the large icons pictured on post you choose user weather in s2u2 settings. no way to see both, i think. once u install weather cab u see large cabs and setting is set to user weather. The blue Wallpaper is in program files\s2u2\gfx\wallpaper.
At this time I dont have a workaround with HTC Wather. I will try my best to find a way to use the big Icons for HTC Weather.

S2U2 does not allow to show only the battery at loading time. You can only delete the battery to show the weather. I dont know if A_C can solve this.

Sorry I spend much time to create a new Diamond skin. That means that I dont have much time to create new features for the Mobile7 Theme.
I cant use it anymore cause Battery Status is not correct running on my new Firmware :-(

Based on WisbarAdvanceDesktop2 RC5 from Lakeridge Software (http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/)

Complete new theme sets for PCM0.25c, Slide2UnLock2 v1.05.

All functions are complete fingerfriendly (hope this word is right).
ALL!!! Phone Functions are integrated to use with the fingers and not with stylus.
Seems very very fast and stable and.... LOW MEMORY is used. My theme with WAD2 is using less then 1MB.
The theme is completly with sliding and fading effects as like PCM0.25c.

and as always I will do 2 Languages (German and English) and this time 2 Themes (A dark one and a bright one).

Hope you like it and hope that Lakeridge is getting near to release the full version of WAD2 cause this time is it in Beta Status (ReleaseCanidate 5).

If you mean to integrate the wather icons in s2u2 you can simply copy them
in the weather folder in s2u2.

Well I've uninstalled everything and reinstalled and I still don't get the option to add a background image in BatteryStatus. I'm ending up with a gap between the string of 4 notification icons (email, missed calls, etc.) looks just like the photo on post #103. Any ideas?
