SDHC support sought to no avail

No luck. And actually, at some point my phone stopped taking my regular microSD 2gb card which is now a new problem. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

I presume youve tried some fairly recent WM6 or WM6.1 ROMs right?

Which ROMs have you actually tried?

i haven't tried any new roms since the last time i replaced my phone because i couldn't fix it after i install a rom. so i haven't considered trying any of the roms from this site. what i have is what came with the phone. do you(or any of you) know that the included rom for this phone will not take SDHC even with extra drivers?

Correct.

Almost positive that only WM6 roms from around summer 2007 (or later) will work with SDHC. Ive been using my 8GB SDHC for a fair while now with no problems.
The supposed extra drivers I havent used at all since members and Chefs that ive spoken with over the years confirmed it was a driver issue with early WM6 roms and ofcourse WM5.

Suggest you try a recent WM6.1 ROM, the problems a minority are reporting I personally havent managed to reproduce AT ALL. WM6.1 is so far proving to be a winner for the majority of users.

CRCs latest ROM is a good starting point.

how do i find this rom? do i look for it under hermes upgrading or hermes wm6 or in the general upgrading section? i searched the whole forum for wm6.1 and 6.1 and crc and found nothing.

no luck. wm6.1 stable installed and can read regular microsd but not sdhc even after trying with above mentioned drivers. any other advice?

actually, mysteriously it now can see my 8gig sdhc card though it just gradually figured it out on it's own. very weird.
