Does anyone know of a way to get those white divide bars to dissappear? I wouldn't know how to go about doing it, and hhc doesn't seem to have the option to get rid of them.

I'd like to have everything looking seamless with no bars if that's possible...

the separators are created by the HH_BEZEL_*.png files.
you can play with them to get remove them.

I've been reading this thread from start to end and still am confused. Can someone give a noobie a step by step session on how to install this thing. I've downloaded the files on to my desktop. I've plugged my phone to my computer, tried to copy downloaded files to my phones Windows file, but it would allow me to. It's getting me frustrated. Can someone be kind enough to show me the ropes on how to get this thing to work. And for future reference incase i want to remove it, how can I do so? So many thanks to the helpers. Thanks in advance.

Download and install TotalCommander on your PPC, then use it to copy the files to your \Windows folder ;)

Your themes look great.
I especially like the WirelessSwitch!
Have you thought about doing a BatteryStatus theme that incorporates that clock and messaging? I've seen some BS Diamond themes and wondered why you wouldn't just do that instead of running BS and HTC Home.
Tks

Simply uninstall the iDiamond cab and at least reinstall the HTC Home cab ;)

Hi !

I'd like to share with you the skin I made for HTC Home.
I used the presentation of the HTC Diamond as basis to this skin.

http://lpaso.free.fr/images/Screen01.pnghttp://lpaso.free.fr/images/Screen.png

I'd like to know what you think about.

Install :
- deactivate the HTC Home plugin
- copy the pics in the Windows folder
- activate the HTC Home plugin
- make "Wallpaper.png" your wallpaper
- use UI Tweaker if you want to have the black bars

Install for the "black edition" :
- follow the install of the normal edition, then put the pics from the black edition zip

I have minor imperfections to correct, so there will be updates

Update :
- forgot 3 pics
- change in the HH_BEZEL*
- add the "option" => when hours is <10, empty pic or a zero (replace the HH_HOME_off.png of the archive with the HH_HOME_0.png of the color you want)
- add some pics (tabs, icons)

NEW - Diamond Wireless Switch

http://lpaso.free.fr/images/WirelessSwitch.png

Works the same way than Effcom, but graphically.
Features :
- toggle BT, WiFi and phone
- hold 1 second to have a little menu appear to select options concerning the item

Install :
- install batterystatus advanced (http://www.chi-tai.info/download/BatteryStatusExt.1.05.CAB)
- copy the dir and the XML file from the zip to \Windows\BatteryStatus
- change the theme in the options of BatteryStatus (Advanced Tab)

Update :
- Add the BT Discoverable icon.
- Improved the phone state recognition

This might sound stupid but...I downloaded the Diamond HHC pack and have HHC installed from a rom how do I access the files in the pack? Where should I copy them. I copied them in /Windows but when I run HHC the files are nowhere to be found. I have an HTC Touch by the way

EDIT: Nevermind...I found it...I feel so stupid for asking such a simple question

Hey there, it seems that you are setting your wallpaper via Start -> Personal -> Today -> "Use this picture as the background".

I think if you select your background picture like this the transparency is defaulted (i think 80%?).

So instead, browse to the picture you would like as your wallpaper - open it and it should display. Click on menu and there should be an option to set as wallpaper - click on that and it will ask you for transparency. Set that to 0 and you should have a normal looking background!

I have been at this all day literally and cannot for the life of me figure out how to install either of these themes on my touch cruise and everyone makes it sound so simple yet for me it is difficult. Again, I have followed all of the instructions for both themes yet have no clue how to copy them to the today screen and am confused about like 40 images in one file and then what do you do? I am begging for someone's help here and please make it very, very simple for me for the insturctions in the first post for both themes make no sense to me. Kevin

Hi,

in your HTCHome Folder, there is an Image with the name "empty.png". You just need to make it transparent. That is it ;) .

I am running a diamond rom on my kaiser (L26 v7) and he has this diamond theme already installed on his rom. I wanted to change to the black version, so i replaced the images, but I still have a residual white numbers behind the black ones! I love this little wireless switch plugin, but what I am looking to do is replace the icons with the type that are shown in my tabs,(see screenshot) any way to do this or are there any BT, W'less and phone icons in black glass I can replace? I have been looking for hours now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update :I actually found some icons that would be perfect in ITsPapaBlack Comm Manager I replaced the icons and renamed them but apparently I have to write an xml file to make it work and I haven't done that before. If any body could spare a little time to help me out that would be great.

I'd like to share with you the skin I made for HTC Home.
I used the presentation of the HTC Diamond as basis to this skin.

http://lpaso.free.fr/images/Screen01.pnghttp://lpaso.free.fr/images/Screen.png

I'd like to know what you think about.

Install :
- deactivate the HTC Home plugin
- copy the pics in the Windows folder
- activate the HTC Home plugin
- make "Wallpaper.png" your wallpaper
- use UI Tweaker if you want to have the black bars

Install for the "black edition" :
- follow the install of the normal edition, then put the pics from the black edition zip

I have minor imperfections to correct, so there will be updates

Update :
- forgot 3 pics
- change in the HH_BEZEL*
- add the "option" => when hours is <10, empty pic or a zero (replace the HH_HOME_off.png of the archive with the HH_HOME_0.png of the color you want)
- add some pics (tabs, icons)

NEW - Diamond Wireless Switch

http://lpaso.free.fr/images/WirelessSwitch.png

Works the same way than Effcom, but graphically.
Features :
- toggle BT, WiFi and phone
- hold 1 second to have a little menu appear to select options concerning the item

Install :
- install batterystatus advanced (http://www.chi-tai.info/download/BatteryStatusExt.1.05.CAB)
- copy the dir and the XML file from the zip to \Windows\BatteryStatus
- change the theme in the options of BatteryStatus (Advanced Tab)

Update :
- Add the BT Discoverable icon.
- Improved the phone state recognition

!!! New : HHC Pack !!!

This might be kind of a noob question. I did install the wireless switch just like you said and it worked like a charm. But how do I control the battery status now? I mean, before putting on the theme, I can simply tab and hold the left icon, but now with the theme, it doesn't show that icon anymore....

I don't know if you'll like it, but there's a little skin for battery status to have a better look than Effcomm but the same functions (until now... ;))

http://lpaso.free.fr/images/WirelessSwitch.png

Hope you'll enjoy it :)

Install :
- install Batterystatus
- put the files in \Windows\Batterystatus

lpaso your theme rocks !
i installed and it works like a charme - awesome job !

one question i have regarding the battery status - phone switch
would it be possible to have an security switch programed ?

like i come by misstake of the phone button [which can easily happen on the today screen] it switch the phone direct of [without any warning]

my request - to avoid something like this - would be -->

how heavy would be the programming of an security question - aka: do you really like to switch of you phone [press Yes / No]

your help would be much appreciated

thak you very much

Thank you very much for that good HHC Pack.

I have installed as general good base the DiamondStyle V1.1 from Mossi in the german version (http://www.ppc-welt.info/community/showthread.php?t=131506) without the extension cab's.

Then i have installed the latest HTC Home Cab from post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2357293&postcount=323 ) and the lates HTC Customizer to change the default language.

That works pretty fine for me and I'm so happy wiht it, so i will not change the ROM in the near future.

So, thank you lpaso for the good post as single point of information to get HTC with the DiamondStyle started on my ARTEMIS.

Install HTC Home.
Disable HTC Home in today plugins.
Copy files across to \Windows.
Then, I'd suggest restarting, and once that's done, reactivating the today plugin.

i tried the idiamond.cab with the same result.
- just disable the HTC HOme today plugin
- deinstall the idiamond.cab
- overwrite the HH_* either in your windows directory or in HTCHOME directory
- then enable the htc home plugin again

if its not work let me know i send you all the HH_* from my Touch
i have the black small clock.

the idiamond.cab i did download before is missing a few files i guess.
so i got the same problem before.

hope i helps.

GraciasI think it should work, although you may need to scale the images up (double the X and Y dimensions).

Try it, but back up the images first or be prepared for a reinstall of the cab.

That was the default setting when I went to change the time format. So I tried to switch it to hh:mm:ss tt and it stayed the same (obviously) then tried H:mm:tt and nothing then back to h:mm:ss tt. Nothing happend. I'm running an HTC Vogue with WM 6.1 installed.

I did indeed... Like I said.. when I went in to change the region time settings it was already set to h:mm:ss tt. So I'm just at a loss.

Could it be this just doesnt work right with my phone period? Weird how it pretty much looks flawless and works fine but this one feature isnt working.

The Vogue is CDMA and like I said its running WM 6.1 which I only just installed a few days ago. When I had WM 6 I couldn't even get the cab to install period. So figured when I upgraded I'd give it a shot. What would happen if I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it. If it doesnt work how do I revert back to the orginal htc home.

I think that part may not work...

In theory, a straight uninstall will bring back any files that were overwritten (the original ones)

I don't know if reinstalling will change that much, but it's worth giving it a shot!

Well uninstalled and reinstalled it and yeah.. still the same issue. Even when I change it over to the 24 hour format it still shows as having a 0 infront of the AM numbers lower then 10.

Weird. Anyone know if theres just some file or registry entry I can change to make this work right? I think this clock looks WAY nicer then the stock HTC home clock. Granted could just be because I've been used to the stock one so any change is nice. I used to run HTC home customizer but never messed with the clock. A flaming clock just wasnt my thing I guess :P

RUU_Diamond_HTC_Europe_1.37.401.3_Radio_Signed_Dia mond_52.26a.25.09_1.00.25.03_Ship.exe

Just wanted to change the theme of one of your great looking ones.

1) installed HHCv10Final.zip
2) deactivated HomePlugin
3) copied Diamond Home (HHC Pack).zip to the phone
wasn't sure where to put the files, in the windows folder there are no bg, clock, icons and weather folder. So I placed the to \Program Files\HTC Home Customizer\FILES\...
4) enabled HomePlugin

My problem is now, all the icons look to small and go over each other so. Is there something I am doing wrong or I just missed?
When I change the clock with HHC it really changes, but just letters, numbers and icons are far to small. They are much smaller than on your posts...

Thanks in advance

I believe the Diamond is VGA display.. and this is QVGA. VGA size is much larger which would explain why the icons look small... because they are! I could be wrong but thats my basic understanding.

On a side note...Why would you be installing this onto your diamond? This is made for everyone who doesnt have the diamond interface so we can have the same look on our home screens that you have on your phone already. So whats the point in putting this on as your home plugin. Isnt the stock home plugin on the Diamond about 10 X's better with clock animations etc?

Because you are using the .cab that I made that's based off my personal HTC home cab.

You and others will need to edit the weather xml sheet and add your city.

My wallpaper and all backgrounds of my today screen are not black as shown in your first post, but "grey" as the black color seen in transparency :/

Do you know why ?

Because you are using the .cab that I made that's based off my personal HTC home cab.

You and others will need to edit the weather xml sheet and add your city.

Where do I find the XML sheet to add in my city?

Thanks

You simply need to edit the existing XML and add your city using the same syntax as the existing city in there. You can use notepad to edit it, that's the easiest.

whiplash1995
15th August 2008, 02:26 PM
to get the ultra black theme just type in on google HTC diamond theme and put it on your phone copy it into devise/documents/theme and paste it there select it and there u go! nd who likes my E-Phone theme for HHC :) you can just download icons photoshop and ajust the size so they fit on the today screen and rename them to the write name in this case its HH_FW_iconhome and make a duplacate called HH_FW_iconhomeselected etc.....

who here has the HTC touch because i am having a problem with the internet on it. when i try and go on the internet a popup comes up on my screen and says (THE ADDRESS IS NOT VALID. CHECK THE ADDRESS AND TRY AGAIN) when the address is write becuase i typed in www.google.com or any other address and that will popup! can anyone help many thanks

You need to install either HTC Home, or HTC Home Customizer.

HTC Home can be got from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344533 although I think it's the one called "HTC Plus v2.0.28938"

Hello!

I think you should check the Diamond threads and find the solution there. As I know there are some cooked roms for Diamond already, so if nothing else helps you then you can flash a new rom with the black diamond interface.

Great theme. I have two questions:

(1) is it possible to remove the lines above and between the email/SMS/missed calls icons?

(2) is it possible to remove the carrier and date entries above the clock?

Thanks.

Hi !

I'd like to share with you the skin I made for HTC Home.
I used the presentation of the HTC Diamond as basis to this skin.

http://lpaso.free.fr/images/Screen01.pnghttp://lpaso.free.fr/images/Screen.png

I'd like to know what you think about.

Install :
- deactivate the HTC Home plugin
- copy the pics in the Windows folder
- activate the HTC Home plugin
- make "Wallpaper.png" your wallpaper
- use UI Tweaker if you want to have the black bars

Install for the "black edition" :
- follow the install of the normal edition, then put the pics from the black edition zip

I have minor imperfections to correct, so there will be updates

Update :
- forgot 3 pics
- change in the HH_BEZEL*
- add the "option" => when hours is <10, empty pic or a zero (replace the HH_HOME_off.png of the archive with the HH_HOME_0.png of the color you want)
- add some pics (tabs, icons)

NEW - Diamond Wireless Switch

http://lpaso.free.fr/images/WirelessSwitch.png

Works the same way than Effcom, but graphically.
Features :
- toggle BT, WiFi and phone
- hold 1 second to have a little menu appear to select options concerning the item

Install :
- install batterystatus advanced (http://www.chi-tai.info/download/BatteryStatusExt.1.05.CAB)
- copy the dir and the XML file from the zip to \Windows\BatteryStatus
- change the theme in the options of BatteryStatus (Advanced Tab)

Update :
- Add the BT Discoverable icon.
- Improved the phone state recognition

!!! New : HHC Pack !!!

Cheers Mate!!

I can't understand how should I install the Wireless Switch.

I've installed the Battery Pack and I've a folder, in Windows, named BPP with several subfolders (BBImages, CBImages,... and some other XXImages).

I don't know what should I do with the folder WirelessSwitch and with the xml file.

Thanks for helping.

First of all, awesome work on this... I have been looking for HHC Diamond plugins forever for my T-mobile Wing!!!

It should be noted, however, that the HHC files should be moved to the HTCHome folder, and that the wallpaper doesn't necessarily have to be moved to the windows folder, as it can be applied via the browse function in the today settings. Keep up the good work, maybe add this to a custom rom in the future!

hi,

I've some problems with this theme:

it appears to small on my HTC touch diamond 's screen, the width is ok, but the height its about 3 till 4 time to small, it looks stupid and some details can not be read :-(

my screen resolution is 480 x 640 pixel

the font in settings/today/HTC_home is also much to small :-(

has anyone an idea to fix this?

tnx and greetings from Germany

Will these themes work on a vga device? And does anyone know where I can download the latest version of HTChome? All i can find is the HHC...
I have a fuze and had the TF3D2 on it but it was waaaay too glitchy and power hungry, this theme looks very appealing and I'm assuming this UI has much less memory consumption..

I'm pretty sure that cab is for a QVGA device like the Hermes and your Diamond is VGA. That is why the graphics are so small.

@gocoelho, try this one (http://www.4shared.com/file/QCWRqxyT/htchome2.html) instead (all credits go to Studio Kuma). It is, most probably, the same build as the one which caused you trouble, but take a look at my Avatar for the proportions on a WVGA screen. You see, it is plain simple (i.e. no animations, no 3D), but it worked fine in all WM phones I had so far, both with VGA and WVGA screens.

Hope it works for you too.

Carlos
