It may be just my imagination, haven't done any further testing, but after installing .NET Compact Framework? (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=aea55f2f-07b5-4a8c-8a44-b4e1b196d5c0&DisplayLang=en) because a VNC viewer needed it, my phone updates the screen slightly faster.
For example, when launching the comm manager, it usually took some time to display. It looked like the phone struggled to build the page...
Anyway, after having installed .net, the comm manager displays instantly. It may take some time to load, but the whole screen appears now at once, not only parts of it as if the screen is rendered...
Hard to explain, but I thought it may be of use for other people :)
