Activesync not connecting?

I've been attempting to unlock my Sony M600i with lokiwiz for a while now, but no matter what I try my phone will not be recognised by Activesync, I'm unsure what to do, or if I'm missing something. I'm not going to pretend I understand phone unlocking as this is my first, but my searches have found me nothing so far.

I'm currently using ActiveSync 4.2, with the original cable that came with the phone (not a Crusier cable, if that makes any difference). The phone is locked to Orange.

I have seen posts from people who have successfully unlocked their M600i using lokiwiz, I have also seen quite a few people asking the same question as me, but with no answers.

Sorry if this seems a stupid post, or if I'm missing something, but I'm finding the information overwhelming for a one off thing.

When this happened to me, the only was I was able to get it working was a Hard reset.

I've just reset the phone, but no luck again, I'm assuming by "Hard Reset" I am to use the Master Reset option?
