Don't know if anybody has this too, but i have cracks in the grey casing.
If i slide open the keyboard, the upper part of the casing (the part with the display) has some crack right above the buttons with start and contacts...

It started as very little cracks and they become gradually bigger. They started as small vertical cracks (just barely visible with he eye) but they grew bigger and they are now even horizontal cracks in it.

Horizontal meaning.... Parallel with keyboard in slide open position.

Am i the only one ? or is anybody experiencing the same problems ?
(are my pants just too tight)

Two words: HTC Raphael (http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/-Raphael-phone-p_2879.html).

I'll probably get the CDMA version (http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1306) (Sprint), since CDMA coverage is much better in the US, let alone here in NYC.

According to the prelim specs on PDADB, here's a size comparison with the S730: zomg!

PDADB lists the CDMA version's release as July. Any searches for the Raphael have are releated to Sprint (US CDMA carrier) releasing the Diamon and the Raphael.
PhoneArea doesn't list a release for the GSM version.

A hairline crack about 4 mm long has shown up on mine. On the screen half of the housing close to the camera button. I can't believe that HTC could hve used low quality plastic. It's has only 4 months of use !

same location as Alcaline. not that bad though.
I called the HTC repair center in France. it will take 8 days for changing the case. Should be cover by the warranty.

They cover this by warranty? Crap!
I have opened my device, thereby broken the warranty...

I contacted HTC today. They told me I could send my phone to Eurotwice for repair. Eurotwice told me that the phone could not be repaired under warranty, because HTC did not confirmed the 'hairline crack' problem.

Called HTC again and told them that I was surprised to hear that the problem could not be fixed under warranty since so many users are facing the same problem.
Now a ticket is created for me and escalated to another department within HTC. They are going to investigate this case and determine if this is a design error. If so they will release an announcement to the repair center and my phone can be repaired under warranty.

For now I have to wait....
I keep you guys informed about the progress

I bought my Wings through Ebay, because it's not sold in the country I live.
So no warranty for me :(

I have found the housing in Ebay but the vendor does not include instructions.
Can anyone provide me instructions on changing the housing of the S730 ?

Has anyone made any progress with HTC over this?
Mine has developed two cracks in similar places. Just thought id see if they are willing to replace whats obviously poorly designed/badly manufactured or if i should save my breath.

I have crack on the same place but it is not that big, yet. And my camera has some strange lines in preview and when i take a picture. And my soft keys and D-pad accept almost every press like double press. And i bought it in the UK and i live on the other side of Europe. Money wasted!

I've got the same problem with the multiple presses thing, really annoying trying to reply to a text and it sends a blank message. I complained to htc about that as well as the crack if i hear anything i'll you know.

I just got my phone back, They replaced the casing that was cracked. The letter that came with it has OOW (outside of warranty ?) written on it. But the phone is within its warranty, and I haven't heard mention of a charge.
So if you've got a crack and still have a valid warranty it appears that it should be fixed under warranty.

They replaced my casing too. They also fixed my camera problem by replacing motherboard. I still have problems with multiple presses, it is better but not completely fixed.
