Man, do a google search, there's heaps of very easy to find info.
It is an interesting topic though and I wouldn't have been interested if Rudegar hadn't pointed out that it's a 2D barcode. I think someone gave me a 2D barcode on a business card around 1995. I'm keen to see if it's the same type and if I can decode it with my phone.

Here's some links to get you started:
Some info: http://wapreview.com/blog/?p=487
Nokia have good support for it: http://mobilecodes.nokia.com/create.jsp
Tagging the world in QR codes: http://semapedia.org/
And here's a good overall info page: http://www.modaco.com/content/windows-mobile-news/243287/quickmark-qr-code-software-for-your-smartphone-your-phone-as-qr-code-scanner/

Ciao! Oggy.

well Ralph Lauren (http://thenokiablog.com/2008/09/13/rugby-ralph-lauren-store-ny-using-qr-code-for-online-shopping/) has started using the QR codes for online shopping. The US and Europe haven't really embraced QR codes unlike Japan and Korea but they will evetually come around.

I-Nigma (http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-i-nigma-barcode-reader-v1-4.html) and QuickMark (http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-quickmark-v3-3-barcode-reader.html) are two that work reasonably well with Windows Mobile devices.

And here's a good site (http://www.tec-it.com/online-demos/tbarcode/barcode-generator.aspx) to create 2D barcodes of different types. I'm partial to the Datamatrix barcode. Much sexier than the QRCode.

I like I-nigma. I am in the US and do not find them anywhere, but I use the firefox plugin and when I want to place a site on my Kaiser I use the barcode so I dont have to type it in. Much easier.

Well piffle, now I can't roll back to see who it was that asked about Kaiser. I am using an 8925, but still have the 8525 (Much better video cap). A month or so ago a Mu$ newsletter mentioned their "tags". So, I checked it out at Microsoft TAG (http://tag.microsoft.com/consumer/index.aspx). Not especially relevant at this point in that nobody seems to be using them in defference to the QR tag. Although there are more and more increasing interest in it. The newsletter I recieved that led me here in a QR bing mentioned JCPenny, Justin Beiber, US Airforce games to name a few.

However, Mu$ had a nice reader that activates the totaly lame camera on the 8925, and very quickly identifies the Mu$ tag. At this point in time like hotmail it is a free service. Just how free and just how serviceable has yet to be seen. A bit of an odd coincidence? I created an MS TAG on an ironon for a Tshirt I wore to a teaparty whoopteado and my youtube channel's friend list went from 15 to over 200 in a couple of dayze. I'm sure that was merely coincidence.
