I think it's because 2040c is the hex value, and if the registry editor you're using only accepts decimal....

The audio tab in HTC Home.

I use the standard résolution (192 DPI) because I like things to be big enough to be used easily with my fingers.

Fonts are too big in the audio tab and the song's title is unreadable : lines are horizontally cut so there is no entire letter, everything is cut...

Quick question: after installing this ROM, can i revert to the original HTC Win 6.0 ROM?
I know the radio and SPL have been upgraded so i'm wondering if i can revert back by simply running the old flash-install program from HTC.

The reason is that I have some software that just refuses to work in Win 6.1 :-(

Realy SystemID - as is understood by Garmin - changes between different ROM implementations

I tried the ROM AP4 road and 5 SPL3.5 and does not work. They occupy a lot of memory and those rom GARMIN XT asked for more.

Finally got around to flashing 5.0 beta. Obviously a vast improvement over 4.0.

Is the volume slider supposed to scroll the screen in Opera? It does for me anyway.

After flashing, my CAB folder on microdrive is empty, still there just empty :mad: Nothing else on the microdrive changed, weird. When I try to open the CAB folder with Total Commander, I get: "Error 13 changing to dir!"

I haven't noticed anything else not already mentioned (i've only been in 192 dpi).

Is there a way to have Touchflo work in most programs as with fTouchflo in 3.0? Tried using both, but Opera still woudn't scroll properly after setting exceptions. Is 1.57 still the latest radio? I thought there'd be a new one by now, but my searches found nothing new.

i'm having a similar problem with ringtones. The default one works just fine, but if a custom one is set in the contact field, it works for some, doesn't for others. On one contact, it plays the set ringtone, on another it plays the default ringtone and on yet another, it plays nothing at all.

I'm not sure if this is something that others are seeing, if so - count me in as confirming this issue. If not then count me in as looking for a solution before I move back to AP4. This is the really only bug that's killing me on this, the others I hope to live with until 5.0 is final... or the next beta comes out.

I know how everyone appreciates positive feedback, and our developers get a lot of it, I think. This is worthless if all feedback is just that. This time, I would like to take the opportunity to give some bad feedback.

Pawel, I think your performance is rather poor. There is no update from you, many enough people have asked now, and do not receive any response. If you were to work for any company or client this kind of behaviour would certainly cost you the job.

Of course it is understood that you do not get paid. You knew that before, however. If one starts a job one finishes it.

I feel rather disappointed by this, and would have expected more.

I could not of said it better myself. pawel has put out 6 roms so far and as far as i know he does have a life outside of making roms for everybody else.... so just give him a break and besides he just got the new iphone :p

yes i did. and i have been working heavily on the polaris. making 8 different editions in 5 different languages. 40 roms in total. latest build of stuff and latest os build. its taking a while to do so many roms and get the basic stuff working perfectly. im right now finsihed with the bugs and am waiting for a new os build.

once thats done i'll eather if im really needed then will go to shift and get them a rom done. the device is pretty basic in terms of apps and you can't put much in the roms so that shouldn't take me too long. afterwords i should have time to come back to the athena.

theres lots of things been happening lately. 4th of july, school has finished, coworker has gone on vacation and asked me to work his hours and mine, i have applied for a new job and been busy going through the whole process there since my current job doesn't fit my college schedule, of course the polaris rom, and as did many people i got the iphone 3g 16gb black so i been playing with that.

I would have to say also that I am a little disappointed that this ROM is unfinished. Many people including myself have donated money to this project as we don't cook ROM's ourselves, and although it doesn't reflect the amount of time the team has put into this ROM and we gave it gladly, it does appear that in this case our needs are forgotten about. However it does make you more grateful to the others who are still committed to cooking new and better ROM's. There are now ROM's coming out that equal and better this now in my personal opinion, I'm glad that we have been given the option to go back to SPL 1.2 to try them and gain the advantage of more memory once more, and use the more traditional ROM format. We still of course have the superb AP4.0 to use, and this continues to be a mainstay of mine for now.

I think you have misunderstood my meaning in this post. I am not trying to suggest that the donation is some form of payment, more that it is dangerous to ask for donations with this type of work. people quite rightly consider their payment as some form of investment in the project and expect to so a successful return for their money. however where this goes wrong is that as we all know, there is never a finished ROM. its like a painting or such like, it only gets to a point where you can leave it and be happy with it. however others may be disappointed with it. A cooked ROM will always have its faults, its just if you can live with them. I for one is disapointed with how this one is left at present, but I couldn't do what they have made

How are you, I'm not really an Athena forum user anymore, but I alwys open it up in a tab and have a quick read.

I think my Athena may be used so very little in the future.
I've got an iPhone as my number one, and then I got an Acer Aspire One as my netbook. Which will soon have a hsdpa addon, so no need for athena :(
But I can't let it go, it holds too many memories, seriously!

So very true, I can't do any of things, but the thing is, I don't need to lol.
Tried and failed to take apart my Athenaearlier, couldn't get the plastic at the top off, and i snapped my volume slider, slightly annoying. But it does still have its uses, it's my modem for my aspire one while the aspire's wlan drivers are being found.

I think my Athena may be used so very little in the future.
I've got an iPhone as my number one, and then I got an Acer Aspire One as my netbook. Which will soon have a hsdpa addon, so no need for athena :(
But I can't let it go, it holds too many memories, seriously!

err... better late than never?

for those of you that are having issues with the ring tone being a bit flawed, ie not ringing- i think the following will help.

fire up the registry editor (found in programs- system). Navigate thru the tree to HKCU\ControlPanel\Volume then change the keys showing 0xffffffff (-1), I changed the ringer and volume key- just deleted one of the f's so that the decimal value became (268435455).

This is most likely the first beta(unless the moon turns blue and this beta is flawless) of the new AP 5.0 rom

its late at night and i will probably get a more detailed version of this and a vanilla uploaded tommorow but here is the run down:

most issues from 4.0 fixed hopefully.
new config app is in the works but didn't make it for this beta.
pretty much everything has been updated to latest and includes all working apps from the diamond rom.
album should now be reliable. haven't seen any problems with it coming up yet*knock on wood*
no manila sip since that changed the whole dialog stuff when composing emails and such. probably will end up as a cab in final with option to turn on and off the manila suggestions that replace the microsoft ones.

please test app compatibility. also i tried to fix the realvga issues but it seems impossible without cmonex or creator of realvga.

one issue i would like to challenge someone to fix: a dialog should come up when connecting usb that should ask if u want to connect to activesync or mass storage mode. the exe for that dialog works(htcusbtopcdialog.exe or something like that in windows folder) but the dialog doesn't show up. browny points for the one who figures this out.

yes i did. and i have been working heavily on the polaris. making 8 different editions in 5 different languages. 40 roms in total. latest build of stuff and latest os build. its taking a while to do so many roms and get the basic stuff working perfectly. im right now finsihed with the bugs and am waiting for a new os build.

once thats done i'll eather if im really needed then will go to shift and get them a rom done. the device is pretty basic in terms of apps and you can't put much in the roms so that shouldn't take me too long. afterwords i should have time to come back to the athena.

theres lots of things been happening lately. 4th of july, school has finished, coworker has gone on vacation and asked me to work his hours and mine, i have applied for a new job and been busy going through the whole process there since my current job doesn't fit my college schedule, of course the polaris rom, and as did many people i got the iphone 3g 16gb black so i been playing with that.

still am faithful to the windows mobile side but the osx side has also made me into one of their faithfuls. both have their advantages so i use both.

You need to remember that if it wasn't for Pawel and the team, we would still be carrying on with our stock WM6.0 roms, and would be just as happy as nothing else would be available. As confucious says, they opened the way for other cooks. OK they only gave us a rom and a half, but they set the way for some new thoughts for new roms. I personally feel that some of the roms coming out now have gone further than the AP roms. Its all about choice. I for one need a medical based rom so I'm learning to cook roms myself, and if you need something bad enough then you need to take the bull by the horns and get on with it. No one has let anyone down. Any how that's enough babble from a aging medic.

Hello I installed this ROM, but I can not connect to WiFi, when I try to connect it does not turn on, even when commanager and try to turn the switch on the wifi, it's a bit of time to think and then continues off, what should I do? This happens to me also in other ROMs.

I dont have a link, but I can tell you this Rom was never finished. It is still in beta condition, and has all sorts of problems. There are much better roms on this site now.

if your device keeps rebooting you did not brick your device you just installed a rom with the wrong spl version. if you have cid unlocked your device and you have not upgraded to ap4 then you are still on 1.2 so at this point you either need to install ap3 dual or wm6.1 3 diff sizes or if you think you would like ap4 or ap5 better then you first have to install ap4, as i don't think the apteam has come out with a stand alone spl 3.5 upgrade, then you can install ap5 beta, just to let you know pawel said he is coming out with ap5 spl 1.2 in either case good luck and don't be afraid to ask questions ;)

that is weird - i'm going through the same thing. i was looking forward to trying out the ap5 but i get the endless reboot. i tried installing the ap3 dual then proceeded to the the ap5 but still get the same thing. i'm sure i am doing something wrong. until then, i'm subscribed to this thread ^_^

please test app compatibility. also i tried to fix the realvga issues but it seems impossible without cmonex or creator of realvga.

one issue i would like to challenge someone to fix: a dialog should come up when connecting usb that should ask if u want to connect to activesync or mass storage mode. the exe for that dialog works(htcusbtopcdialog.exe or something like that in windows folder) but the dialog doesn't show up. browny points for the one who figures this out.

that's the thing - i ensured that i was on 3.5 before i ever thought of running this on my 5 incher (sounds kind of... wrong... lolz). heck, i'm on ap4 right now.

Can you please confirm if I download the right file of AP5 the size is 59.4mb and try to load on my Athena but it so plain. AP4 is better that AP5 if I download the right one.
