HI everyone, I am trying ot find a ROM that is build 19576.x.x.x or newer. There is an issue with older ROM's that in certain circumstances when you sync with ActiveSync to your corporate Exchange 2007 mailbox server and Exhange 2007 CAS server (tested with 2003 mailbox and 2007 CAS and that works fine), the email although sent will stay in your outbox on your device, and everytime you sync it sends it again, I have it on good authority :D that it is supposedly fixed in 19576.x.x.x of the WM6.1 ROM, but none of these very nicely cooked ROM's out there have this... if any of you geniouses can come up wth one, i can assist in the testing of this.
Thanks

Tried, nope does exactly the same thing....:(
Did you ever find a solution to this? I just loaded the official HTCASIA_WWE rom and am experiencing the same problem.

Not as of yet, but there may be light at the end of the tunnel there are two possiblities:
1) This may be related to ISA 2004 not doing some proxying properly (depnds on your corporate exchange setup), but after this second light seems not:
2) MS was unable to reproduce the error in their labs so they put in a fix that they "thought would" fix the issue (hence me asking for a certian ROM version), which was the new version of the ROM. But they have now managed to re-produce the error in their labs so should have a fix forth-coming,...

I've experienced this issue if you restored your email using SPB Backup. For some reason, if you backed up your email/sms using SPB Backup and then try to restore the email onto a new ROM, the email/sms can't be deleted. My only workaround was to use PIMBackup instead.
Hope this helps...

I don't use any backup software on my phone, so this isn't the issue for me. Thanks for the tip though.

Without trying to hijack this thread.... I am having a similar issue.
With every ROM I have tried, my POP email (gmail) works perfectly for about two weeks. Sending and receiving is perfect. Then, without reason, I can't send any email. It just sits in the outbox after an attempted send with the error: "The message(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try again."
Every ROM I have tried has this issue eventually.
Any sugggestions?

I am getting the same issue with Ex2007 and WM6.1
My situation was that we have HTC TYTN II phones that we upgraded to 6.1 from the HTC site (not a cooked ROM). When we upgraded to a new Ex2007 CAS server it was working fine. I then moved the Ex2007 CAS server to a new AD site and everything appeared to be working fine. The only issue we have is with the 2 mobiles running WM6.1 and are on the Ex2007 Mailbox (different ex2007 server to the CAS). Sync appears to be working but we get the same problem as the Original Poster.
Have you found anything to resolve? My only fix was to downgrade to WM6 and it now works fine.

Thats quite interesting as from that it appears that this issue in your instace is if you have the Mailbox on a server different to the CAS server.... which is the case in all ours.
We have not resolved it yet but MS was able to re-pro the issue so a proper solution should be forth coming soon..
Other than that Vodafone has released a version which this issue is supposed to be fixed in:
"If you have a Vodafone V1615 device then they have just released the upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.1 on their Help/Support site!
You can download the upgrade from http://help.vodafone.co.uk/v1615upgrade.php"

My only solution...and its not a real solution is to simply reflash the ROM. And luckily for me (and everyone here) new ROMs are not too hard to come by. It spices things up to change.
But, when I do find that special ROM on occasion I tend to stick with it for awhile. Just reflashing every two weeks or so.
However (and I hope I don't jinx myself) I have been running the same ROM for probably three weeks now and my email is working fine. :/

What ROM are you using? I've been plagued with this problem for months now, driving me nuts.

Sorry for the delay.....but its all for a reason.
It wasn't 12 hours after I posted that last message that my email stopped working AGAIN. And, naturally, I was out of town away from my trusty laptop to re-flash.
So...on to one of the 20226 ROMS. :D

Got a response to a MS fault case I logged. They are working on it as a Bug in Ex2007 Sp1 Rollup 1, they are yet to confirm 100% that it is a bug but they have said that an update should be released soon.
In the meantime MS recommends running WM6.0 if you are experiencing this problem.

Got some more details, the fix is now for Exchange rather than any ROM, seems MS have fixed this in Exchange 14, the next version of Exchange. They are now trying to retro-fit this as a patch into Exchange 2007 (ver12), then they will pass it through there release process so bear with it is all I can say, there is light at the end of the tunnel....
