Hi guys , I'm abandoning this release for now as it seems there still issues with this build, not sure if its the newer wm6.1, I havent tried 5.2.19212 as yet, but there are random freezes with these build , i know people are mentioning it could be hardspl but I cant see how is that have to do with it, My thoughts it could be related to the dynamice pagepool setting with also with our customcache settings,

I fixed most issues so far, including contacts and other stuff, but dont feel its still stable.

I'm also looking to get a new device soon,

So for now I will not support this thread, also I'm also busy at work again, thanks for supporting guys, I will be at the background trying to do one more release, but need to investigate the random freezing we experiencing now with these new builds

Thanks for all your hardwork dutty. Even though this one was buggy, there were a lot of things I liked about it. Keep up the good work.

I'm also looking to get a new device soon,

Just be sure to post which device you decide on and where you will purchase from when you make your decision. I need to place my order as well... It's been and awesome ride... Kudos my friend!

Thanks for all your work Dutty. I don't blame you for moving to another device. I just got this Tilt a month ago and already I feel let down by HTC and wish I hadn't of locked myself into it for 2 years. The camera on my Tilt is what really drives me crazy, it looks great in the specs, a 3MP camera, but its totally unusable. My Wife's Blackberry is much better in almost every way. That and along with the attitude of most people on here about helping newbies with their questions, its left a very sour taste in my mouth. I'll be using your Apr29 ROM for the life of my phone if you do not release another. Thanks again for your hard work! :)

The new release looks very good and like everyone else I hope you pop a new release even beta.

You have created and put out some of the best software for the tilt that made it a very usable phone/PDA.

Now everyone else please don't take this the wrong way but Dutty made it more that worth it to read pages and pages of messages just to see what he had to say.

I would read everything just to see what Dutty had to say and I would just start laughing at people saying Dutty could you add this, that and if possible the kitchen sink as well and miss the point that the software worked and made using the tilt fun.

So I’m going to setup a paypal account just to send you something

So even if I don't see another release I have to say thank you, thank you

P.S. if you go to another device leave a note because it must be something better that the tilt.

Thanks, again.

Hah yeah, theres still other good people working on it though. Its sad that the fact is, it shouldnt have had to be worked on as much as it has. I bought it early this year and feel bad for not waiting on a better model with video, but the tilt is still an awesome device. Its a frustrating device though. Yeah the attitude on here of helping new people is VERY bad. I think most people have done this stuff for so long its stuck on their brains as common knowledge and something your born with. Try some other forums out there, or if you can avoid the flames on posts, theres a few people that will help.

I'm not experiencing ANY freezing or lagging, which I mostly attribute to the Diamond keyboard. I like the look/feel of it, but not the lag. I'm not running HTC Home and I tweaked my file system cache numbers using advanced config.

Whatever the problems folks are having, I bet its a minor one.

I noticed I also disabled TouchFlo.

Minor??? There are a few good ones in there, believe me.

Dutty, you quitter...LOL jk, mate.

Anyway, can't wait to see what comes next. BTW, I'm working on a few projects right now & I think one of them will maybe debut in a future Dutty Rom. Will PM you soon about it. ;)

Hey guys,
I could really use some help. I flashed to this ROM, it worked fine. Then all of a sudden, the phone is continuously rebooting itself with no way to get out of it.
What is going on?

This appears to be a common thing on other 6.1 ROMS as well. It's worse on some. Dutty made a really nice meal here with this one otherwise. The only thing that needs work is the SIP keyboard and the dialer, other than that this thing looks awsome! And of course we just need to fix the bugs, not his fault of course!

This build was the first ROM I ever flashed on my Orange HTC Tytn II and despite the odd bug here and there I thought it was a great improvement from my original ROM. I think the Diamond Keyboard is great the only thing that comes near it in innovation is the Finger Friendly Friends keyboard.

There was a bug that I spotted that I'm not sure has been mentioned where text has occasionally squashed together on the same vertical plane, but I don't seem to be able to reproduce it again. I also get an error when pressing the voice command button telling me "Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename".

Am I thick or is there not a quick way to look at the battery percentage charge from the HTC home screen?

Despite the bugs I still think it outperforms my original ROM and I much prefer functionality to outright performance (I can live with a short delay) so I am going to keep this ROM for now and hope that at some point the developer can find some time in his busy schedule to give it another shot.

I will be donating in due course.

Dutty, I contacted HTC and they told me the diamond does have a SD Slot

Hello Jonathan,

Thank you for your inquiry.

First and foremost let me thank you for your keen interest in our line of devices. The HTC Touch Diamond does indeed have a microSD slot that supports microSDHC cards.

Jonathan, I hope we have answered your question in detail. Feel free to contact us again if you have any further questions.

Dutty, do you have a cab for the bluetooth plugin with this ROM? I am going back to the hybrid ROM and was hoping to get the bluetooth plugin you used for this test ROM. Thanks.

Hi people,

I have several hours playing with dutty's beta ROM. I have NO ISSUES with keyboard, dialer and screen freezing.

I've installed:
spb mobile shell 2.0 [Mapped to ppt button]
Schap advanced Config...
HHCv10 FINAL [only original theme]
Resco Explorer 2008 6.22
Tilt keyboard fix
Batterystatus 1.05
Others

THANKS GOD this diamond keyboard has spanish dictionary!!!

Note: For me this ROM is much better than L26 v4, Death v3.5 and Ryncppr v3

The only inconvenience is that there are not too much app included!

EDIT: Everything was OK but when I start using my password to LOCK the phone it start freezing when restarting... I'll go back to Dutty's WM6.1 Hybrid v2 5.2.19716/5.2.19700

ANYWAY; DUTTy YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

After doing a some more testing, i think i can confirm that the freezes is somehow related to pagepool & cache, diffrent settings with the pp & cache does indeed help freezes, there are too many variables to test alone, so maybe some of the guys might try & report back.

I'm currently flashing this ROM with Jockw's new HardSPL 3.28 because I wasn't too happy with Dutty's previous ROM (no offence though, I really appreciate the work Dutty is doing for all of us :) ).

I'll report back in a few hours...

It's a shame, this ROM Flies with the new 3.29 SPL (For me atleast). I can't use it because of the Contacts bug. If that was fixed it'd be prefect to me, but I'm sure theres other bugs I haven't encountered that make it unusable to other people. Thanks for the hard work though Dutty!

This ROM indeed really flies now with JockyW's 3.28 HardSPL. No lags, no freeze, almost instant screen rotation, fast file access, quick menus. It really is a pleasure to use this ROM now :)

@hellz: What contact bug are you talking about? Can't find any problem worth mentioning.

I now prefer this ROM over Dutty's WM6.1 Hybrid v2 ROM, less bugs, more speed.

The only thing I encounter for now is QuickGPS not being able to connect the servers... Is there any fix for that?

Dutty bro, the Diamond is an unbelievable phone, my only problem with it, is that the New touch flow 3D is a little slow, though it has more ram/rom & a faster cpu, im hoping to see a faster rom from you.
Good luck & thank you.

Currently this is a test version and has been left for the time being as it's got a lot of bugs. Look for dutty's april 29 version for the last 'stable' version.

Dutty said he may be bringing a new release next week but remember he's an unpaid volunteer doing this cos he's a nice guy, so no need for the ''....

The white status bar sticks at 0% and eventualy the PC upload tool times out saying communication problem 262

I've tried this his previous version also and still doesnt work.

All of these have been said earlier, but I am having these issues:

Quick GPS

Tried turning off 'proxy server' in MEdia Net

IE works fine while connected to Activesync thru USB
IE works fine while connected thru 'E'

Tried connected and disconected from ActiveSync
Searched, but couldn't find the Proxy On/Off Cab that Alex used to use.

Contacts Summary Screen is missing.
Large start menu text
Tilt Keyboard text is defaulted to clear font

I have seen a fix, I just don't remember how many posts ago.

Thank you! Just flashed this ROM on my phone a couple of weeks ago (my first ROM) and hadn't been able to get my Email, Weather Tab, or Skyfire to work unless I was connected through WiFi. Finally had enough of this and started reading EVERYTHING on this thread before posting my question up and found something I hadn't tried yet. Disabled the Proxy and it worked like a charm.

I'm still a newb here so I'll continue reading (and searching) before posting stupid questions. And thanks for a great ROM! Performance is awesome and the space I gained with the internal memory was well worth all the reading I had to do to figure things out.

Read above few posts.

1. Dutty is no longer here in Kaiser forum.
2. You need support on Android, go to the other Android for Kaiser forum
3. Your radio is old. Android latest version requires new Radio. It means you have to use either WM6.1 or WM6.0

As first time poster, let me tell you something, before asking question, spend min. 2 days searching for the info.
