I will make this a Bug list post.


After testing this build I found out that i could make skype works but then PCM wouldnt work properly, Then i could make pcm keyboard istall and work perfectly but then skype wouldnt work, so this is a rom issue and by me. So i will investigate this.

I was really hoping your ROM would support PCM Keyboard, as it is the best SIP that supports other languages.

I'd prefer a integration of as lot of the diamond stuff as possible (weather animation, sliding interface, etc. Remember, when all people said: it's impossible to have the cube on the kaiser? Dutty did it via OEM cube, the c++ version and touchcommander came out, all of them have advantages and disadvantages. So I'm excited to see original and from scratch developed manila interfaces here.

I was just in the process of tweaking the UC on lite version of 29th Hybrid as too get the US version on MS VC and the Uno Cube into the Rom. Now I will temporarily abandon that for tearing into this Test Version.

On a different note, that's slightly related, can someone post (Flame Me) the Registry editor and HTC Home that Dutty integrates please?

I was using PHM Reg edit to extract and I could not import properly into WinCE Manager. The Dutty integrated RegEditor has been nothing but great.

As I mentioned on the title about the problem, you might not realize that you cause too many troubles to me or some other people. I’ll list the problems that I faced and could remember about your roms.


The roms is so convincing to me to flash my Tilt again because of result Graphics index (4958.88). I believe it’s the highest among the roms around.
The Rom is very stable. And I don’t have any problem about technical issue. Most of the troubles can be fixed easily and people in this forum are so friendly.
I try other roms on this forum, and I have to come back to yours all the time which doesn’t give me an opportunity to use someone else’s rom.
The biggest problem to me is I felt in love with your rom.

By the way, I just want to congratulations to your amazing new rom, and also want to thank you for your effort.

BTW: Has anyone tried IM+ on this? Not just installing, and setting up, but can you actually send IM's with IM+? Some of the newer 6.1 roms won't give you the area to type in so IM+ is worthless.

I'm interested in trying one of the new Diamond releases, but Leo's is more a regular WM6.1. Would like to have some of the Diamond extras like this appears to have.

I have been playing with it on the Hybrid...it runs. You can see the potential it has...we need vid drivers for it to be acceptable IMO.

it doesnt run fluid....freezes up. on some devies it wont even launch....gets stuck at loading screen. but i agree...video drivers would really help this along.

It seems nice! Everything went fine, flashing, hard-reset etc...
Then I set up the time, password etc, noticed the quick in-one-piece flip of the screen when the keyboard came out:)

But then after finishing the setup... the pincode for the sim wasn't asked,
went to comm manager to turn off and on the phone-function, then it got asked.
Auto set-up the country and provider, restart. Phone hangs in the pincode screen for the sim after typing it in, it said "waiting..."

Then after 1 minute the screen goes black, pushed the power/stand-by button, backlight got on, screen remained black...:confused:

Soft reset, now checking if it works normally...:)

one quick question. I have the ATT tilt and with the april 29th release worked great!! awesome rom. But now I have 3g in the area and it wouldn't connected over like 100kbps at all. Is this something in the roms that i should know about? How how to turn that feature on to allow 3g speeds? Thanks much. And Dutty greats releases man, you ROCK! Every release you have is rock solid and FAST! If anyone could please give me a step by step approach to make this happen.

if you're seeing the 3g icon then you should be getting way better speeds than that. if not try a diffrent radio. i think this rom included a diffrent radio than that which you have.

if you're not seeing the 3g icon enable 3g in the comm manager. you can also enable hsdupa in settings>connections or using kairser tweak if its not there

unlike his previous roms i dont think dutty loaded drivers for any other radios....so you're locked into the one that comes with the rom. or any of the other 1.65 radios come to think of it.

for one....there isn't 5 pages of people complaining. it seems more smooth and way more responsive. check the benchmarks as well. they speak for themselves. not to mention none of those weird UC issues people had with leos v1.

Btw, on the iGo note, there are still people who have disabled everything in HTC Home but Time and Favorite People tabs, disabled AGPS and STILL both iGo8 and iGo2006 will NOT launch (that's April 29 Dutty's ROM).. Not saying anything's wrong with the ROM, but somthing in that HTC Home is messing iGo up big time.

I'll try this ROM out, hopefully iGo and HTC Home can live together happily now.

P.S: I now have a feeling that it's the HTC Home Customizer 1.0 (aka HHC) that may be messing up HTC Home, which in turn messes up iGo launch. I may be wrong though.

both camera and video works for me..by the way I fixed the PCM keyboard issue..I insalled sipchange cab first..that didn't work and addition to it I installed im selector cab and selected PCM keyboard.soft reseted and now I have PCm keyboard..I can swith from Diamond keyboard to PCM simultiounusly ans well...I later uninstalled IM selector and picked 0 second on the sipchange and soft reseted..it works great now...

There is one thing that I don't like about the HTC today screen... THe weather pannel sucks... BIG Time. it doesn't update on its own. I have to connect to my PC to update it or wifi. I mean, at 5pm, I still get the weather of 9am... it's really bad.

But after a while it seems to "catch" everything, making it smoother to navigate between programs and so on.

I did change one The HSDPA enabled and under proxy I clicked off the this network connects throught the internet..... This is AWESOME!! Any fine DUTTY release and it's working with my 3G!

I've tried the ROM, and since it's a test version I thought I'd give some feedback.

So far I can notice that this ROM is significantly slower than your April 29 ROM - this one is still freshly installed, and yet it's a lot slower on common browsing/clicking/launching tasks than the April 29 ROM that was full of software and stuff.

Second problem I see is that iGo doesn't launch. I haven't checked if AGPS is turned on by default or not though.. that could be the problem.

I'll keep testing it..

GPS test: Tried to install latest TomTom navigator but the installation just kept going and going, device did not freeze as I could work in background.

Used quick GPS for getting a fix .. Now im sitting indor and tried the GPS test DANG! 5 satelites after about 1 secound??? WTF!!

2nd try on TomTom, still just loading the cab, wount install. Going to try to find a workaround as I want to see this working the navigator :D

It's happening to every custom cooked ROMs based on the same base ROM. We have to wait for the fixes by the cooks. So be patience and enjoy this first attempt.:)

There are several possible solutions, what have you tried? I have a link to the method i use to get my weather working, as i have to use a custom city, and some roms aren't compatible with the weather patch cabs. You can also make sure you are not connecting through the proxy and that it is using your medianet connection (i'm assuming you're using at&t)

i asume it does NOT work unless you bring that to duttys attention. its not something most user require so it kinda viewed as wasting space. but maybe he likes you....ya never know....

sprite works flawless if you're restoring the same rom you backed up from. other than that....things tend to get a little scary. sure it will work....but it could also screw things up. not recomended you use it from rom to rom.

The only time I experienced the white screen was before I loaded my contacts. After that all the information was there but Random Access disappeared. I simply reinstalled it. I also had pretty laggy performance. Using Kaiser Tweak, I reduce the size of all the cache to the advised setting, reduced touch sensitivity from 400 to 2500, re-aligned the screen, soft reset and now I have no lags and the ROM really zips. I noticed the same thing with the latest L26. Large, Large and Very Large cache settings actually degrades the performance on my phone with this build.

The reason it is "so damned fast" is that the heavy lifting work (the page conversion to PDA format) is done on Opera servers and not on your PDA as would be the case with a non proxy browser.

Opera Mini 4.1 has been working just fine on my april 29 ROM (Esmertec jbed java). Don't think there is anything specific about this latest ROM that makes it work any better. As long as you load a suitable java engine I expect it would run well in any ROM. Correct me if I am wrong though.
I am however a believer in Opera Mini. It was the only good solution I found for my previous nokia N73 12 months ago and is still the best Web Browser I have found for my Kaiser.

Was wondering what the relevance of your earlier Opera mobile 9.5 posts had to this ROM and now I realise you just having an awakening and discovering the brilliance of Opera Mini :D Anything is better than the slow old IE :( browser which has been my biggest dissappointment with my Kaiser.

Make sure you remove the shortcut to MSVC from startup,, remap button 6, and change the registry settings for your bluetooth button to work with CSD instead of MSVC.

Aah, wel I got a full sprite on 29. Thats the on I used until this test rom got on, going to fire it up and get hold on that Esmertec jbed java engine, should have used the search button bether I guess. Kinda gave up after an houre fidling whit only whit the stuff that followed that rom. About me getting an discovery on opera that couldnt be more far from the truth :) I probobly have use opera longer than moust of the members on this forum. Just not on PDA. Remember Opera is a Norwegian product and im (..) jepp!! But the part of getting an rude awakening on mini, HELL YEAH!! Couldnt be more precise :D

Since I don't use and somebody already posted the answers for 1 & 3, I will try to answer #2 for you. BB Connect is working fine. You probably must have forgot to change the AKU version to .0.4.2. Do a soft reset after that and it should be fine. I initially forgot to change it (as I was happy to try Dutty's rom after a while) but realized my mistake soon and it's working fine now.

edit: i don't understand the point of the diamond keyboard. it pops up the letter as you press it, like the iphone, but the key pops up right under your finger, defeating the whole purpose! odd move by htc.

For me there's the nagging white screen in contacts. Btw is it possible to remove HTC Enlarge StartMenu? It looks better without it!
Other than that, I'm extremely happy with this ROM, especially with the diamond keyboard and the Comm Manager!! Keep it up dutty!

for touchpal just do a soft reset all the tabs will come up, don't worry about it, it happened to me too.

I'm having a few more issues with this rom and need a bit of help. Don't worry it's not much.


1- When I want to backspace or delete while typing a SMS, it get's stuck and won't delete. The only way to make this work is by pressing Fn key and button smash delete until it starts to backspace or delete.

2- When I want to answe a call, for some reason the mapped soft key on the left is Silence instead of answer. It get's annoying because sometimes you end up pressing Silence by mistake and then you have to hang up and miss your call.

3- Why sometimes when I close an application it goes with a grainy screen (you know when you have your television on with nothing but just a rain of pixels) looks similar but with colors and lines. This won't bother that much because thankfully it only pops up for half second and everything get back to normal. But this makes my phone look like it has manufacture or ROM issues and makes it look ugly.

4- When I type (having the auto correction OFF); it still tries to Auto correct. This started after I downloaded the "Keyboard FIX".


Can I fix all this for good?

no problem here with mobile device center running solid with vista ulimate. don't know why it wouldn't work for you. you tried changing the usb cord? restarted your computer and phone? (just the basic trouble-firing guns)

question though, why you removed the drivers? to my knowledge, the only thing you should remove are the old partnership(s).

Ya I tried all that. I removed the drivers so that I could make a so-called fresh install without playing with my registry.

I don't really like the diamond keyboard either, one soft reset on my phone fixed the blank tab in touchpal v3 for me. if you want to try the one I have pm me, or you can go to their website and download the 15 day trial for the 6.1.

This might seem like a stupid thing to complain about, but why is it that the very first time i slide open the keypad after a fresh boot, the slide sound is choppy as hell?

Also, wifi signal is much improved on this radio for me over the included dutty apr29 rom's radio.

I also tried the opera 9.5. although it runs very well mostly, it takes too long to open, and panning around the web page is very unresponsive.

As far as speed and performance of this rom, i know its still fresh, but it seems to me like the apr29 is smoother.

oh, also, when you slide out the keyboard, and the screen redraws it does it in one full motion, but it takes a couple seconds, so its not really faster than before per se.

Anyone managed to install the HTC Voice Dialler on the last Dutty's ROM?

On Dutty's site I found two cabs:
CyberionVoiceSD_for_WM6_v1.2_build_61226_1.cab

With this one, it installs fine but it doesn't work, there isn't any sound confirmation that it's waiting for a voice command either

Duttys_WM6.1_CyberonVoiceSpeedDial.cab
This one installs fine, but the icons and text in the page is missing. I can send voice command.

I much prefer Voice SpeedDial as it actually works !
never managed to get Voice Command to work for me other that "what time is it" or dialing digits directly.

Many Diamond driver files cannot be found in this ROM (d3dm_ati.dll, ahi2ati.dll, libgles.dll ...). Would you please try to port these files to your next version?

With the hardware keyboard i can't find anywhere the accent letters (èòàùì), I have to switch to phone keypad to get them.

Those drivers doesnt work for kaiser, it makes it even slower,
i will look into the others
quick gps might be because its a newer version will try a older version
title bar just left in rom will take it out, its hardcoded in vga
usb2pc ported from diamond, that bit wont work as kaiser hasnt have the supported hardware,

Hello all, I'm trying out Duttys new ROM - it's fantastic. :D

I'm once again looking how to make a Norwegian Keyboard on this ROM.

I used raiisak reg hack for the hardware keyboard - Working 100% :D
( In: HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD, set CurLang to 414 Hex)

Now, the software keyboards, I tried Gullum's "gullum Norsk Diamond keys.cab" but no ÆØÅ on the screen.

Any ideas?

i'm not a big fan of the new recent programs list on the start menu (new horizontal icon list vs old vertical name list). if you keep it, then the skin needs to updated to make a higher contrast for selecting the icons with the dpad.

the start menu and softkey popup menues all have huge fonts too

to Fix the PCm keyboard I first installed Sip change and than I installed IM selector and selected PCM keyboard on IM selector..and on the sip change, I selected 0 seconds delay on options and soft reseted the phone..now I have PCM keyboard..the cool thing is I can switch between PCM and Diamond keyboard now..it is like unlocked effect or something..it works now..here the files.please let me know if it will works for you Dutty... thank you for your time man..this rom is really great..even though I need IGO I can't let this rom go..I gotta use it..apps are great..fast..
by the way the menu font scales in programs are just the way I like it..they are easy to navigate with fingers..great job..

Just two problems as for now, after installing my standard apps:

1. Default Full QWERTY doesn`t show characters when I change to symbols ,.123. Only after changing to different input type for eg. Compact QWERTY and change back to Full, the symbols are visible. This operation cause the Kaiser very low responsive on tapping.

2. After returning from sleep mode and opening Contacts the Scrollbar on the right margin with letters is not visible. When contacts closed and opened again, Scrollbar appears and it`s fine until spending few minutes again in sleep mode.

If the speed of scrolling when buttons are pressed and held could be faster it would be perfect. Think everybody used to it in your ROMs, when everything happens fast.

Hi, Dutty.

Would your final and full (biggest) version of this ROM include:
1) MS Remote Desktop (Terminal Service Client) which is in almoust every official rom with WM6.0 and WM6.1 ? Because i don't see him in list from your first post here.

And i have other requst, can you add to your (biggest) version of any new rom this stuff like:
2) QucikMenu (very usefull), when someone will use old standard menu pernamently, he can make that by 2clicks. Or just "one long click on WINmenu logo", and old standard menu would be opened instead quickmenu.
