Was playing around with the camera and noticed that pressing left at the photo option changes to a mode where it tries to initialize the GPS.. Just wondering what mode and what this does? (pressing the left key at the photo mode)

You must be in open air and get a fix for your GPS, in this way the coordinates of where the picture was taken will be inserted in the picture properties

You should IMMEDIATELY disable GPS Photo. The Tilt is notoriously awful when it comes to getting a GPS lock under any circumstances, and you don't want to go through the abort procedure every time you try to take a picture.

I don't think it is that urgent to do, if at all needed. The camera program will start in the last mode it was used the last time, if you use it in the photo mode, then next time it will start in the photo mode and the GPS Photo mode will not be activated.

if you don't think you will need the GPS photo mode in the future, disable the GPS Photo mode is available in the KaiserTweak program (from the stickies)

I've never had a problem getting a GPS lock with my Tilt. I do navigation for a living and it's pretty damn close if not usually right on.

I took some pictures with GPS camera... Now what? Where is the fun in this? Which program will show where my photo is taking?

Guys,

If you are not satisfied with the inbuilt photo tagging feature in the tilt, please try out GeoTerrestrial Geotagger, which works as an add-on to the GPSToday today-screen plugin. (Both totally free).

1) The GeoTagger add-on can be set to automatically geo-tag (aka geocode) your device pictures as soon as they are taken.

2) The geo-location is added to your pictures' JPEG Exif data so you don't need to perform any extra steps or maintain additional pieces of data.

3) Flickr will automatically recognize the geo-location of pictures geo-tagged with GPSToday GeoTagger.

4) Flexible: You are not restricted to automatic geo-tagging with GPS location only. You can also geotag specific pictures with whatever location you want, by selecting the location on the GPSToday map.

5) Coming Soon: View your geo-tagged pictures on the map itself within GPSToday. Find pictures "near" a location, from within GPSToday.

6) To install the GeoTagger add-on, install or update to the latest version of GPSToday, and simply select "GeoTag Pictures" from the Map>More menu in GPSToday.
