First post, please go easy on me :)

I've got the AT&T TILT phone. Just flashed with Shogunmark's Death v2 BIOS... Sure as hell, my device is on its way to the graveyard.... (just kidding about implying his bios trashed my device)

I sync'd it just fine with my laptop, and left it to charge... Unplugged it, walked around with it, went to plug it back in, and activesync didn't pick up the phone, nor did the charge light come on. After rebooting PC and phone, tried again. No good.

Got out the AC adapter, and it wouldn't charge the thing either.. Until I wiggled on the power cord, placing stress on the mini-usb connector inside the phone.

(Get to the friggin point already the voice in my head says... Shuddup... I'm workin it)

When the TILT is slid open, down from the "Q" buttton on the keyboard there is a little recessed button... I press the button with the stylus and presto! the phone starts charging again... Don't have to wiggle the power adapter, just press button and it charges.

When I plug it into laptop to sync, I press button that made it charge with power adapter and presto!! nada... nothing... zip... zilch....

I have the Seidio rubber case for it with those little clips that attach the thing to the phone. The clip closest to the power plug on the phone is broken.... Broke today, as it wasn't broken last night....

Is it possible this little piece of plastic is wandering around inside? Why can I charge it from AC by depressing the little button beneath the "Q" but not sync with laptop?

Called up AT&T and the thing is still under warranty, but I've gotta get Mark's death rom off of it.. I know there's a link somewhere's how to flash the rom from the SD card, but if someone could flame me quickly for not looking hard enough and post it I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!!

Phillip

mine is the opossite, it will only charge thru activesync, not thru the home charger, or the car charger.

If they are under warranty, put them back to stock and send them back. I had the same problem...my tilt would only charge on the ac adapter or the usb plug to the pc. It wouldn't charge on the car charger. I sent mine back--got a brand new one and haven't had an issue since.

It seems to be a common problem with the Tilt and the ATT 8525. The power input on the phone itself starts to go bad. My Tilt did it a few weeks ago and my sisters 8525 did it a week later.

Use a SD card to flash back to the OEM ATT ROM and Splash screen and send it away to service. I got mine replaced pretty quick.
