I think it is "opposite day" where he is at. Do you mean " hard button " or do you really mean "soft keys "

I use AE Button Plus from ae.inc.ru.. It works perfectly with my TyTn II... I map every button with 3-4 function (one press, double, triple, and long)...

or you can just use advancedconfig which is included in almost every cooked rom.
