If you want to run iGo8 disable HTC Home from Today and softreset after this start iGO minimize iGO with pressing red (telephone)button and enable HTC Home in Today go through all panels of Home and then maximize iGo it still works until you softreset it!

Using a Registry editor Go to: HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome\TabSetting (If you don't have the string TabSetting, Create a new String and name it to "TabSetting" and give it the values you want.)
There you will see the value: 1,2,3,4,6 (Each of these is a tab. Note there are no spaces between the numbers and commas)

1 = Home (Time + Date)

2 = Contact shortcuts.

3 = Weather

4 = Program shortcuts.

5 = Music schortcut. (Originaly it's hidden with this tweak you can active it.)

6 = Profile Manager.

The only thing you have to do is changing the values in TabSetting.
You can add or delete the tabs when you have no use of it.

So having a TabSetting of 1,2,3,4 will show Home, Favourite People, Weather and Launcher.

Having a TabSetting of 1,3,4,5 will show Home, Weather, Launcher and Music Player

i thought the issue with the german umlaute on the hardware keyboard is soved now with the htc-ship based rom. i tested it just now and on my device it don't work :(

Umlaute in hardware keyboard is definitly working!
First type the normal letter exampel "a" then press Fn button and then space the normal letter will change to the Umlaut "ä".

I think somewhere in this forum was a solution for this, try a search.
If i find it i will post.

i am testing this rom for two days,

there is bug in the touchscreen, its VERY SLOW,

i mean it is not reacting well, f.e. if want to call some one

i press the tab 1 but nothing happens, i have to press 3-5 times :mad:

has anyone a fix for it!

IGO8 it work BUT without htc home
in nothirlls version i had to disable just the weather tab!

THIS ROM FEELS SLOWER THAN nothrills one!

Are you sure you are using my ROM based on official 3.28.407.0 version or a previous build cos i have nothing changed on the video calling function in this version.

you need resco explorer to change the files because the old one are in the rom!
before you replace the files you have to switch off the home plugin otherwise they are locked.

The pagepool is dynamic.
You can try changing the pagepool yourself, for me my ROM doesnt need to be changed it runs good!

I used the SPL extracted from the nbh of the official wm6.1 build which reverted my SPL back to the official one. You won't be able to flash a custom ROM anymore, until you install HardSPL again.

HERE IS A SHORT SUMMERY -ALL FILES YOU NEED INCLUDED!

HOW TO:

download and copy these files on your Tytn II:

> 01_SSPL-KAIS.exe
> 01A_JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe
> 01B_JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe


copy these files on your desktop:

> KaiserCustomRUU.exe
> RUU_signed.nbh

PREPARING:
> pull out the battery and reinsert it (this step *is* important)
> REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS !!

1. Connect to ActiveSync

2. Run 01_SSPL.KAIS.exe from your phone (make sure you do this on your actual device and not your PC) IF YOU GET A WHITE SCREEN INSTEAD OF THE bootloader screen then do a softreset an try the file 01A_JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe --> FOR WORK this file 01A_JumpSPL1.56-KAIS.exe; shoud you get once again a white screen then use this file: > 01B_JumpSPL1.93-KAIS.exe

3. Wait for ActiveSync to disconnect

4. Unplug Kaiser, Wait a few seconds and then plug Kaiser

5. deselect "Allow USB connections" in Activesync connection settings on your PC

6. When you have the bootloader screen on your phone run KaiserCustomRUU.exe from the desktop.

3. After it's finished verify your SPL by holding down power and camera buttons while doing a soft reset.

I got a problem since I flashed this Rom: When I'm in Landscapemode I can't see my Letters in some Programs (f.e. Agenda One, Vito SMS-Chat), they are just invisible. But when I switch back to Portraitmode, then I can see them.

Sure if i knew what he did to fix it, i only know that the issue behave also on the original HTC ROM and only for some apps like netfront 3.5 and agenda one. I mean i hope it is the same issue in his ROM.

Maybe i should really try this, but i mean i saw people which flashed the original HTC update with the spl writing the same issue. What i noticed is that with disabled 3G in commmanager the freezing stopped.

thx! with your HTC3GVT.DLL my videocalling is OK now!

This would mean that the videocalling in the original shipped ROM is not working too because the file does also miss there! Could it be that you first wasnt in the area of umts or calling someone with a prepaid card (MDA Vario III manual)?

edit: The HTC3GVT.DLL is in the original HTC ROM and also in my ROM, the HTC3GVTStack.dll is missing but not needed for videocalling!
Testet videocalling with my V2 ROM it worked without the postet dlls!!!

today i've tested teijaks_v1_3.28.407.0_rom with the spl_german posted in this thread with tomtom and pathaway. the result: NO DIFFERENCE between the priviously hardspl 1.0

Im using the radio "1.65.16.25" from official RUU_Kaiser_HTC_GER_3.28.407.0_radio_sign_25.83.40. 02_1.65.16.25_Ship ROM.

I have very good reception near cologne!

Maybe problems with your provider settings ? With my Medion prepaid card it works correct.

Which version of my ROM have flashed? Because i have removed SQM in my ROMs based on official 3.28.407.0. I just tested it with V3 - no nagscreen!

I flashed your Teijak_WM6.1_GER_3.28.407.0_V3... - and before that i flashed RUU_Kaiser_HTC_GER_3.28.407.0_radio_sign_25.83.40. 02_1.65.16.25_Ship in order to get the correct radio ROM...

the only unusual thing i did with sms was that i recovered my old sms from my previcious rom (standard german tmob rom) using Jeyo SMS Backup... - i think its really unlikely - but could this be the reason? (now the sms are threaded - in the old rom not)

I think this is the reason because no one else reportet the issue!
You can try to disable the threaded sms:

Reverted back to non-threaded sms, and 2 of the 3 nagscreens are gone... -> but with the arrival of the "delivery report" of a sent sms, one of the nagscreens pops on!

There is a thread how to remove that application completely - did u remove SQM that way? (if yes, then i dont understand how i managed to reinstall that dll and exe?)

If you release a new version, it would be cool if you could add the austrian emergency numbers (110, 122, 133, 144) to this key: HLM/Security/ECall

HardSPL drauf? Danach Firmware flashen , also diese hier in dem thread "V3" ist auf seite 8 oder so glaub ich. Danach wenn die drauf ist, guck mal mein beitrag oben, da hab ich nen link zu dem radio des dazugehoert gepostet. Des flasht du genauso wie das rom, also einfach die exe ausfuehren , dann rebootet er. Danach geht auch die Kamera.
Des problem ist, du hast noch dein altes radio drauf (bei dem rom ist ja keins dabei), und fuer WM6.1 braucht man wieder spezielle Radios. Des in meinem link da oben ist des, welches dazugehoert (war beim offiziellen dabei).

English: Hardspl installed? Afterwards just flash this firmware, V3. Follow the link i posted to the radio which goes with it, flash that just like you did with the ROM (execute the exe file, flash, let the phone reboot). Reason your cam doesnt work is that your old rom has a WM6.0 radio installed, which doesnt work with this WM6.1 rom, so install the 6.1 Radio.

Opera is still beta and in my mind have to many bugs so far to cook it in.
Maybe later.

Try the attachment for the old style of taskmanager. You can copy the icons with the total commander to windows folder and do a softreset.
You can start Total commander from sd card, in show/settings change to deutsch.

Adobe Le for me is not needed to it runs also from sd card.

UC compliant i have never used, because i have most apps on my sd card no need to install. I have only a backup of my Startmenü to copy back!
But if the most of you will have it i can cook it in.

The file structure is like in the official german builds.

It is the same if i want to save on the storage card or on mainmemory... and i even reflashed your rom in order to eleminate mistakes...


So: plain, fresh V3 -> Taking a pictures -> not beeing stored anywhere.

After a softreset, i can take pictures again - as i can see so far the problem may occure as soon as the device has gone sleeping once.

Should i try another camerasoftware? If yes - which one?

camera is working here, no problems.

maybe a problem with your sd-card?
had massive problems with my sd-card after flashing the original german htc rom. i saw everything on my card, but couldn´t browse the folders, listen to music, took pictures etc. got freezes everytime i tried.


the card was not corrupted, everything is working now.

i think the problem was caused by some powersaving tweak...

its a very fast Rom, this is great...

You should disable "Fehlerbericht" in System Settings.
By default it is disabled maybe you have misaligned somethig in your system.
A hardreset should help.
I never had issues sending sms.

Yes you are right forgot the tweak to cook in. After hardreset and without changing any setting testet once more sending sms: everything worked well.

but I noticed that even though the ROM V4 was released just yesterday, most programs included are outdated. Why is that...?

Like the camera. you're using 4_08_30665_00, but the recent one is 5_0_4_2915_00. I have no idea if a newer Version means better pictures and functionality, but I'd think so.

Since you seem to have the knowledge of how to get german keyboard layout with "Umlaute" working, could you extract that in a cab or something? It would be more than awesome if I could integrade that in other ROMs...

Try this, i modified the cab from jcespi but have not a second kaiser with english language to test. Maybe it is only possible to cook in.

i tried to deinstall all version of camera and install some other cabs. but nothing helps!

Aber nun zu meinem Problem:

Ich versuch schon seit Tagen die HTCHome.dll zu patchen, aber alles was ich probiere schlägt fehl. Die Patches von der N"A-Seite gehen nicht. Entweder mein MDA friert beim Start ein oder er startet immer wieder neu.

Im Post #8 ist eine HTCHome.dll, kann ich die auch für das V%-Rom nehmen, ohne das mein System wieder abstürzt?
Die HTCHome.dll muss ich patchen, da ich meine Heimatstadt abfragen möchte und das geht mit der orig. HTCHome.dll nicht.

Vielleicht können mir auch ander Benutzer dieses Roms helfen.
Wäre für jede Hilfe dankbar.

Did you install any camera app or only flash the V5 ROM, if so you should look for the right radio version. I use 1.65.16.25 from official WM6.1.

Hab mal ne Frage an die deutschen Freunde (auch eng. erwünscht).
Beim HTC Wetter Tab springt das Wetter nicht automatisch zum nächsten Tag, es bleibt immer beim Aktualisierungtag stehen und oben steht dann z.B. "vor 1 Tag". Ich möchte, da ich nicht täglich aktualisieren kann wissen, ob das mit einem Registry Eintrag zu lösen ist.

Hab auch schon normal gesucht aber wenn das mit dem englischen hapert ist nicht gut suchen.

Das XDA-Developers - Forum ist trotzdem das Beste auf diesem Gebiet.

first, yes I am a nooby. But never-the-less I managed to flash the V5 yesterday night together with HardSPL 3.59. Radio is 1.65.16.25. Before this upgrade I was running the official HTC 6.1 upgrade.

I have changed the page pool to 6MB. My impression: this ROM really rocks!!! Even with this low page pool it is much better than anything I run until now.

Teijak, keep the good work running.

BTW, I am located in the Munich are and Vodafone customer...

Did you try hardspl 3.28?
For the alphabet you need enough contacts to show it!

I think it's a problem from S2U2. Can someone install S2U2 and Su Doku (http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Games/Puzzle/Su-Doku-12262.shtml)? Start Sudoku -> make a new game and play i while. Then press the PowerButton and S2U2 will start. Wait a while und press the Power Button again. Now, unlock the device and play again Sudoku. After a while the completly System will hang up for a while.
I can run other application exmpl. search contacts or browse into the internet and the lags will present, but this is the way, for the fastest lags.

The best performance was:

I got it working... the problem i faced was that i did NOT use Totalcommander but Resco Explorer! Resco doesnt seem to be able to overwrite the necessary files....so: use totalcommander and the steps described here:

Wow. Its currently much faster. When i run S2U2 the screen will display immediately. With the older version, i was able to see the slow image building. it's amazing!

I tried all your versions, but couldn't install any of them. My Kaiser is starting in bootloader mode - then I see the progress bar. After about a minute I get an connection error message. I not only tried all your versions, I also tried three different PC - every time the same result.
The original HTC update worked without problems.
Do you have any idea?

I recently flashed version 8. I have two problems:


when I switch to vibration mode, only the first call after turning vibration on will actually make the phone vibrate. All following calls remain silent.
When I open the slide, everything switches to landscape mode except for the menus on the right softkey. Instead of menu entries there are only dashes (minus signs). One dash for each menu entry.


I then tried V 3 and the errors where there as well. Any suggestions are welcome.

Apart from these issues, the ROM works great.

Sometimes the Device will freeze (~ once every 1-2 week) when i open a new message or i when i press 'send sms message to this person' when i'm inside the phonebook or inside the lastcall function from the phone. I was allready able to change my softkeyboard, first I renamed the SJ black somethiing keyboard and I had a black one after softreset, but it was an english layout with german funktions, hehe.
then I changed it to the standard keyboard, but that one is too boring.
If I new how to extract it, I would, but I don't and I allready searched and searched for a german black one - found some, but this one looks just like I want it.

Don't know why this one does not work. I tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=56472&d=1193913263 and had no problems, I only had to rename it (well, and it was the wrong layout) but it worked.
I think I'll just let it go - it's not that important - just thought it would look cool.

I am using Teijak's ROM V5 since august, it works fine. I have only one problems regarding the radio I would assume. I am using iGO 2006 and iGO8 GPS navi. Both have the same anomaly while usage. The GPS signal is always "poor", so the navi is regulary recalculating the routes or is offtrack 10-30 meters, which is a pain and often leads to be lost. If I switch the Kaiser to "flight mode" GPS signal becomes immidiatelly "excellent" and so does the navigation too.
I tried on both version of iGO and it seems to me that GSM and GPS radios are influencing each other or something like that...

Its mostly like the previous one but this time with working "Umlaute" in hardware keyboard.

Since I've installed the ROM last Friday iGO8 crashed (nearly) always when I received a telephone call (with using the built-in hands-free set of my car via Bluetooth). It happened always after stopping the call: iGO was running for a couple of seconds and then suddenly stopped. I've never had these issues before with other ROMs. Could it be that TouchFlo is causing these issues?

I dont have a bluetooth hands free set in my car but i can have a telefone call with iGO8 running witout a crash! Do you have the latest iGO8 version?

I'm using the (as far as I know) latest official version for Pocket-PCs: 8.0.0.49545. And with your ROM version V7 I never had these crashes.

its not right, the latest cracked version is 8.0.0.54000 and i think the latest official version is 8.3.1.54348...

stimmt nicht ganz, neuste gecrackte version ist IGO8 - Build 8.0.0.54000 [ UPDATE 24.09.08 ] und die neuste offiziele version ist 8.3.1.54348 was aber noch nicht gecrackt worden ist...

Sorry i can not test your situation but you can try to disable Manila2D in today and test it maybe iGO is only in the background - with manila active you cant see it. Please report if this help, then we can search for a solution.

I had some issues with cracked versions (that were no official PDA versions but PNA or other OEM versions) - the most stable releases were always the official PDA versions.

Of course iGO wasn't only in the background - I use to start iGO via a hardware key and after pressing this key (after a crash) it started completely new.

After my last post I disabled TouchFlo (what you recommended yesterday, too) and had until now no more issues with iGO shutting down itself. So it seems that I have to decide to either enjoy TouchFlo or use iGO.

By the way: iGO closes without an error message and without creating the crash.txt.

hey, i am using the latest teijack release without Manila (no time to test it, until now) and i like it very much.
Today i wanted to try out voip with wm6; but as told in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950
the support has to be cooked in into the rom.
is there any possibility to get this feature to work?

Hi all,

I'm using the "Manila2D" but do not need all applications included in this ROM (and want to save space...).
With my old MDA compact (HTC Magician) it was possible (Soft-Reset before installing the cabs) to decide afterwards which cabs to install: all cabs could be installed respectively were accessible after starting "LoadVdisk". This seems to be different with the Kaiser - or is there a way to access the cabs, too?

In Manilla 2D email widget there is no email preview, it just says: "Klick um Nachricht anzuzeigen".
