Hi guys.
I am looking for latest ROM upgrade for O2 Xda Exec. I searched the form and eveylink is down.
From the O2 site, this phone is discontinued so out of luck for me i guess?
they refer me to a non UK based side as im not a UK customer but even there i can't find the ROM upgrade.
What i have now was what it was 1st manufactured with. So this puts me back and realized alot of applications and programs i want to have i.e. iphone look, i need this upgrade.
If anyone has a link i would truly appriciate it.
Here was the link from this forum but as you can see all links are down

upgraded without any problems and very fast, I was holding off upgrading the original O2 Exec ROM for quite some time, because I was worried my Imate ROM and software experiments might go wrong one day and I'll at least have a working O2 to get me through. However, my JasJar ran into problems with Ranju 7.7 update and was bricked and stuck on Imate blue versions screen (an equivalent of O2's water bubbles splash) for good. I tried everything. At some point I even tried to calm myself down by thinking that at least I can salvage the brand new screen I had installed a few weeks ago and put it into another JasJar I have that needs one. For my solution see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2229386#post2229386
Although it's for JasJar, I think it just might work for you.
Hope it helps :)

if you have access to an XP computer, I'd take my ROM and AS4.5 and try to upgrade with XP. I heard Vista can be quite unreliable in such matters. If I am not mistaken, there is a thread somewhere about that very problem with Vista.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try this and post back.
Edit:
;);)
Problem fixed. All i did was use a Win XP computer, installed ActiveSync 4.1
Did a soft reset while XDA was plugged it and opened the ROM by Ranju 7.7
Came up with no problems at all!
Now only one more thing to solve. My 500GB external HD fell to the floor and now computer isnt picking it up and its making weird sounds. I have 300GB worth of medical school stuff and programs. If i dont get my datea then i am done for. If anyone has info on this let me know.
Cheers

Is there a link to Ranju 7.7?
And so it works well for O2's XDA EXEC?

Do a simple search. Here is the link

yes it works with O2 XDA Exec as i did it with mine.
I had the original ROM that the device came with and it installed a really excellent interface and you will have Win Mobile 6
I would really advice you to run it with a Win XP computer only. Vista is not friendly at all.
