My S630 with an original HTC ROM crashed and now hangs on the Windows Mobile startup screen. The bootloader screen shows:
CAVA100
IPL-0.04
CAVA100
SPL-1.00.0000

Tried downloading the Dopod ROM:
RUU_Cavalier_DOPODASIA_WWE_1.16.707.7_1.43.50.00_1 08_Ship.exe
but get Error 294 - Invalid Vendor ID.

Any ideas how to recover the device?

There seems to be plenty of dopod rom around... anything by htc?

Did people originally get it on a CD with the phone? Htc used to keep such things on their website but no more.

I know dopod and htc are essentially the same, but I would like to flash rom that has settings for the UK so I can be certain that the radio rom is acting as it should.
