No it for both niki version, 16 keys and 20 keys.But Diamond keyboard disabling hardware keyboard touch dual.We just use hardware keyboard as number now.

Is there anyway to enable the hardware keyboard again? I find that more important than having a touch (diamond) keyboard. The hardware keyboard is one of the reasons why I bought a Dual instead of a Touch or Cruise.

And sorry for asking again but is it possible to add User Customization in the Rom. I don't know if it is a lot of work. But it would be really nice to automatically customize a rom to your personal needs when you just flashed it.

I second that, I feel that the hardware keyboard does me a lot more good than the onscreen keyboard. I would really love a copy without the diamond keyboard (even though I love the keyboard, it's just that I need the hardware keyboard more than I need the software keyboard :(.)

Theme is beautiful but graphics problem are here...First of all, button are circle of purple in the "PIN CODE screen".A problem also present in the Full Keyboard, when I zoom a button he is circled of purple...

Now, I've a question...Does it possible to change the "Linux" load indicator? (I'm a really pro-windows ^^).

Also, when I make a video-call, the phone direct call "standart" but HSDPA are available here...Do you think it's a rom problem?

It seems I'm amongst the few (maybe) who is not really using the hardware keyboard at all so....:p

but the diamond phone keypad has also smaller buttons than the standard one :eek:

Just tryed this rom and im having quite a few problems with it! the speed isnt as good as v1 plus the keyboard has just messed up on me like i press a button and it will give me the character on that key if you press and hold :S I think im going back to version 1

I must agree, this version has some problems. For example, in the original niki version, the top bar for notifications is one big bubble that pops up, now it doesn't (which is OK I guess) but the main problem is that it says I'm not connected to my phone company! It says that Data is connected, and it says Vodafone, but it shows an X on it! Am I the only one with this problem?

mine did that to start with, but not sure how i fixed it, i changed the country to uk went to settings the connections, then connected the net connection setup my exchange connection. and soft reset the device.

and it went away. not sure what if any of them got ride of the not connected icon.

in your FIRST rom install, there's only english. Like I said, I'm not having ANY keyboard issues... so now that i have all my software already installed, I'd prefer to just install a cab, if at all possible :$.

It appears the normal one was replaced with a penguin that jumps up and down that I don't like.

Use Resco Explorer or Total commander.

OK. I might have to reflash it :-\. When I go into the keyboard settings it asks me what language I want,and it shows all your languages, but htne when I press and hold the asterisk, it only allows me to pick english.

Should I just reflash to the new version? haha.

This one: NIKI PROJECT ROM V2.0 WWE With Hardware KeyBoard has a working Hardware (Slide-out) keyboard, the first one uses the nice looking onscreen software Diamond keyboard but the hardware slide out keyboard will not work.

Using Diamond gfx my 20 HW Keyb is not working fine.
The dialpad also seems veryslow when you press backspace button to cancel some numbers.
The system seems is slower than my previous original Italian Rom customized with Diamond graphics.

yes..U can't use it for touch dual.But u can read and understand how to change reg + Files for get Xt9 with your languages.

Still unclear and appreciate this is basic stuff for you guys. I am trying to update my touch dual to the Niki project. I am stuck at getting the Nike SSPL USPL HardSPLL to work through my lak of understanding. I follow the basic instructions:
1. download the attached files
2. REMOVE SIM and SD CARDS !!
3. connect usb cable
4. copy sspl-1.16-nike.exe to your device and run it (usb cable must be connected!)
5. after a few seconds "USB" appears on the display
6. unplug and replug the usb cable

I get to point 5 and onscreen of the phone I get a few coloured bars and USB at end which I guess is what it means. I then go to 8:
8. you can now flash the hardspl-1.15mfg-nike.nbh by running ROMUpdateUtility.exe from flash-uspl-niki
this cannot work as I have no Actvesync connection so I reset the phone and get activesync running.
I then run ROMUpdateUtility.exe from flash-uspl-niki (I assume this is the right one as there seems to be a few flavours included)?
I get no option at this point to load hardspl-1.15mfg-nike.nbh - it just wants to update my ROM down to version 1.00.000.0. through the PDAPhone Rom update utility 1.31.61.10

PLease help I am obviously missing something.

I think you had to save "eT9RegInput.dll" and "eT9DisInput.dll" from your windows folder and restore them afterwards. I'm not entirely sure though.

you might want to look in the options for bt enable explorer or something like that. i also have this problem. i believe it was solved by that. but im downgrading to v1, its kinda ... problematic

Outgoing and incoming video call not working. Proceeds as normal call.
Regardless if executed via the dialer button or menu.

2. Bluetooth OBEX buggy.
Phone is able to send files but unable to receive them. Even if OBEX and Beam are already enabled.
Temporary workaround: Enable Bluetooth explorer and file sharing then disable them again. It will work after that.

Will try to find more.. hopefully I don't see anything more.

As I need polish t9 I use attached file and it works like a charm. This version was extracted from polish Orange ROM for Touch Dual. I hope that other t9 could be extracted from localised versions of ROM's.
