Ok, I don't think that I ever saw anyone discuss this problem that probably affects all prophets with WM6 and 6.1 roms.
With WM5 official roms, never tried cooked wm5 roms, when Prophet was connect to a PC by usb in Windows with Activesync or Windows Mobile Device Center (activesync in Vista), if I turn off on the Power button the device stayed always power off until I pressed the Power button again.
With all WM6 and 6.1 cooked roms, if I turn off the device, after a few seconds the device is again turn on without pressing the Power button.
Why this was never resolved is a mistery to me. If anyone could resolve this problem, would be great.

Never experienced this. If I turn my device off when connected with ActiveSync, the connection gets terminated, and the device stays off.

Same here, I tested it on a few different PC's (only have one Prophet...) and nothing unexpected occurred.

Mine works like onesolo, I press to Off and after maybe 2 to 3 minutes it goes on again. But I donīt know if it is a bug, it may be a wake up on activesync tranfer data function.

Maybe it's the Portuguese AS build...

Nope, because this affects activsync in english as well. And as I told before, it happens in WinXp and Vista...

1. it is not a problem.
2. the Prophet needs to communicate with the PC once cradled or USB connection.
3. wanna stop from power on automatically in your case? Just uncheck the usb connection option from PC or from the Prophet.....
thats is the fact of your case. ^^
Good Luck

1. OK, that, 90% is caused by software installed from the 3rd parties.
2. if too disturbing for that circumstance, hardreset should solve that "problem".
3. the above is based on solid experience.
Cheers~ :D
wanna spend 6 minutes to flash Korand's fast, stable and clean WM 6.1 rom? try this 2 in 1 tool (with ROM) (http://v-dog.net/XDA/Youzii-Kor31-WM61-Tool.rar) ^^
